  1. Dean keeps working on the Impala because it’s a metaphor for Dean (and
    Sam) trying to get better?

  4. Aw, very cute scene boys. Why can't we get an entire episode of Sam and Dean just hanging out at the motel, Dean fixing the car, Sam searching for hunts, and just, the 2 of them doing mundane in between hunt stuff, drinking a few beers, watching cheesy cable movies, and just hanging out? OK sure, maybe the motel is haunted or something as well, just to get some scares in there as well.

    I'd watch.

  5. Dean always works on the impala when he needs to relive his stress or take his mind off something bad. So it could be him trying to shift his attention.
BTW San, please come back you know where, you are truly missed :(

  9. I have to hand it to the writers this season….they're remembering the series past. Dean mentioning Sam's theatre past which was mentioned way back in S1 and now Bobby's love for Tori Spelling again. Bravo, writers.

  10. It's fitting that the episode Dean starts to work on the impala is the episode he gets back the "Samulet".

  11. You'd watch that? I don't think I could. An episode where we see their lives when they're not hunting, only to add in a ghost or something that's haunting a motel.

  12. definitely would watch that lol

  14. Or he's avoiding the real issues and working on something he can actually fix rather than something he cant ie the MOC?

  15. reminds me of soulless Sam in Clap Your Hands, that scene in the old ladies home where they're drinking from the tiny cups and Sam asks if she has bigger cups always makes me laugh.

  16. Its seems to me that they're taking a step back and being quite cautious right now perhaps because they're not entirely over the whole Demon Dean issue and what happened and also what could happen with the whole MOC issue? This seems like its all just the calm before the storm, they (Sam particularly) dont sem all that ready for the shit to hit the fan again esp when everything is actually good between them again. I think thats what Carver has been talking about when he gives the spoilers about how both brothers will be dealing with the MOC issue differently. Dean wanting to get back to the hunt not really thinking that the MOC thing will be that big of a deal/he'll be able to handle it? Sam reluctant because he was on the recieveing end of Dean's ugly MOC personality and Demon Dean. Plus he had to watch Dean die and disappear on him. Sam would maybe want them (mostly Dean) to step back and not force the issue/take the risk with the MOC esp when they do and dont know what could happen if Dean keeps poking the bear with a big stick?

I love the scenes between Sam and Dean!!! Back to hear Dean talking about Bobby warms my heart. It is as if Bobby were still alive :`)

  18. I "liked" that comment because while I much prefer to a good mytharc storyline, we haven't had much of the way of strong mytharcs in a while. With many of the MOTWs, the case and guests are weak and less interesting than the intro scenes where Sam and Dean are just hanging around the bunker, talking about something else entirely or preparing. Case in point, the best part of 10.4 was Sam and Dean sitting by the lake wearing shades.

  19. I do agree those are some of the best parts. One of my favorites scenes in the entire series is when Dean's teaching Sam the fundamentals of working on the impala, but a whole episode dealing with what they do when not hunting would seem problematic and towards the point of maybe the writers are out of ideas. The little snippets of Sam and Dean outside of hunting is what makes the series special so there doesn't need to be a full episode around it as it won't make those moments as special.

  20. I think this was just a light comment, not to be taken too literally. Actually implementing it would be problematic. ;)

  21. losing Bobby is what killed the show for me but am happy they still talk about him.
