  1. Awesome!!
The Snow Queens mirror is a receptacle for some dark parts of our soul, this is great symbolism.

  2. This is probably my stanning for Elizabeth Mitchell talking but needs more Snow Queen. And it's nice that Belle has her own storyline - that needs to happen more often.

I miss Olaf and we desperately need him on this show.

  3. This episode was minding blowing! The Snow Queen I LOVE HER! She is sick and twisted. And Rumple just got the upper hand. WOW Just WOW!

  4. Captain Guyliner is going to trend isn't it? There wasn't a whole lot of Captain Swan this episode, but what we did get is pretty good. This is one of the few ships I like that actually makes me ship them more every episode.

  5. Omg this was good episode love seeing more Belle Rumple is ass hope Belle leave him when she found out he lying and make him work for it That mirror is good act seeing the dark parts of our soul I knew it that the Snow Queen aka Ingrid wanted Emma and Elsa to be her sisters I just thought Belle mother would've been the third sister love that Belle mother was such a hero sacrifice herself for her daughter

  6. I thought this was a great episode and a very good setup for next week's that looks to be amazing! This is me putting my wishes out there in the universe in hopes they come true. I don't want Emma to give up her magic. Magic isn't what makes her special, but it is a part of Emma and she shouldn't sacrifice it or be stripped of it. Emma has lost so much already ... her birthright, her childhood complete with being raised by her parents, her freedom, her son's father, and precious time with Henry when he was young. Please don't take Emma's magic as well.

  7. Great episode!

I loved how this episode further developed Belle's character and gave more backstory on her! I've always felt she was a little underdeveloped ever since she came on the show so I'm glad.

I laughed so hard when Regina said "Captain Guyliner" about Hook XD She always has the best lines. Also, Rumple seems to finally have some leverage against the Snow Queen! Wonder what he plans to do with her next.

And what a nice surprise to see Oaken! I had no idea he was going to be on the show so I was very pleased to see him. YOOHOO! One of my favorite characters from Frozen :)

Holy shit at Ingrid wanting Elsa AND Emma as her family and planning to use the spell of Shattered Sight to cause everyone to turn on each other in Storybrooke. This should be very interesting.

  8. While Rumple was leveraging Ingrid at the end, I had a hard time seeing him talking about caring about anyone other than Belle. I know technically Henry should fit in that category, as well as the charmings. But still felt odd to me really for some reason.

  9. I think we will now finally start to learn Emma's ultimate destiny as the savior. It seems every episode so far hinted there was a greater plan in play for her.

  10. O-kaaay so ingrid is officially crazypants, almost fell asleep during the belle parts sorry but i just don't care about the character, it was cool seeing store guy, still love the dynamic between emma and elsa, still don't want hook with emma but what he said about everyone in storybrooke basically being related was so meta and true and someone was bound to say it at one point lol

  11. Awesome episode! don't know what to write about, because all other said all about. It's such a pleasure and fun to see Season 4. Thank you Once Upon A Time to make me happy

Amazing episode! The acting from Emilie, Robert & Elizabeth was fantastic as well.

  13. Still think there's too much screentime for the Frozen characters and too little for Regina, Snow and Charming ... And was it really necessary to weave Belle into Anna's past ... not sure. Best scene of "Family Business" was the one with Regina and Robin in the woods where she tells him to forget about her if he wants to save Marian. Someone's relearning to be selfless ... Second best was Rumple and the Snow Queen talking about the hat being leverage ... IMO

    ReplyDelete
  14. I don't think the Charmings would fit in that category, actually... I think he'd care for Regina (because they have some bizarre relationship) before he'd care for the Charmings.

But yeah, I think it'd only be Belle and Henry for him.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Agreed, seems like Regina gets 5 minutes per episode (excluding last week's ep) and does more character growing than anyone else :)

  16. Yeah, I can't help it, but now every time I hear "Family Business" I think of Supernatural. Not the best title for this episode. Still... it wasn't ha half bad one. You find out that Gerda from the original Snow Queen story is Anna and Elsa's mother, which was a no brianer there. I am really looking forward to next week's episode. Elizabeth Mitchell is really doing an awesome job!!!

  17. I agree about Olaf. I wonder why the writers thought Olaf wouldn't fit into the OUAT world. I agree that the world in the show is slightly more realistic, but I'm sure they could have found a way to fit in Olaf.

Even if they didn't want him to appear in every episode, the fact that he just doesn't seem to exist in this world seems.. weird. Especially since they're following everything exactly from the animated movie.

  18. This episode rocks! BUT, I hope, the next conflict in the next half of the season and the next seasons, the guys will be in trouble without their memories being erased and without the villain being the family member of one of the main characters and without the villains not being unknown the first time they were discovered.

  19. loved it.. i love the snow queen, it will be hard when she dies or leaves. wish they can make her stay somehow

  20. bdw: Gold and Snow Queen in the end: was it a "filming-mistake" that first you could see the injury to the neck from the dagger (I don't speak, when he looks into the mirror and you can't see) but when he says to her: "looks, you lost your leverage", there's no injury?

  21. I'm a recent fan that started watching this season, and I have to say I haven't been disappointed. Love this show, can't believe I wasn't there at the start of this series (but I'll definitely get around to watching the previous episodes in May 2015). Amazing cast, love the characters and just everything. It's now one of my favourites.

Awesome episode as always. Can't wait till next week.

  23. I liked it! I liked the reveal of Ingrid and Emma's quite loving relationship - I'm sad it didn't last and Emma doesn't forget someone she grew to consider family. And I'm happy to see more of Belle's backstory! I love her as a character, it's great that she's getting some spotlight. The scene with Belle and Rumple in Ingrid's cave - shit, shit, Rumple, you've got to quickly swap the fake dagger for the real one, because DAMN if/when Belle finds out she truly does have the fake, it won't be pleasant. Rumple, you're going to ruin your own happiness and marriage.

  24. This Frozen storyline is SO bad. I've come to the conclusion that I like the characters and actors and would probably watch a spinoff like Wonderland about Anna and Elsa ,they're adorable. But the flashbacks in this show are terrible. They have done very little so far and it feels tiring when so many crucial scenes between main characters are being cut for time.

On the other hand, every time they give Belle a new girlfriend, it's adorable. It's nice to see Belle get her own storyline, even if her Storyrbooke plot was just solidifying the canon about Rumple abusing her. Rumple is full on gaslighting Belle now.

I can't believe Belle waited so long to try to save Anna. Emilie was great in the mirror. Mirror!Belle was dead on too, like truth bombs all over the place. That entire Rumbelle scene in the shop at the ending was DISGUSTING. Like how can the show pretend that such gross emotional abuse and gaslighting is romantic? Belle is in some serious danger, especially since they've just shown how non-consensual the original deal from Skin Deep truly was.

The Captain Swan scenes were hilarious. How much Emma wants to convince other people that he's unimportant is just funny.

So...Ingrid the Snow Queen is trying to create a superpowered Third Reich? Pushing Emma into this is a little weird. Like not quite making sense. Too bad so much of this is taken from the Cora/Regina S2 storyline.

  25. Look out! DRAMA QUEEN arrived. Stop watching, dearie. Only thing/words i can read from you complaining, complaining, complaining, yada, yada, yad, "this OUaT storyline is so stupid", "this OUaT storyline is so stupid", "this OUaT storyline is so stupid" etc. Stop watching, dearie.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Don't you have someone else to harass or canon to get wrong somewhere else?

And encouraging fans of the show to stop watching probably ISN'T a good idea. Just because I want some quality for the characters I like and for the show to stop romanticizing abuse doesn't mean I am asking for you to show up to be rude.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I really like your comment, dearie :-)

    ReplyDelete
  28. You're encouraging harassment because someone didn't like abuse? Grow up please.

  29. The graphics this season are really impressive, well done OUaT team.

"It's bad enough that I'm stuck with you and Captain Guyliner making eyes at each other", "so what's next? Question the cows she gets her milk from? Search the waffle cones factory?" HAHAHAHAHA Regina's lines are priceless lol and her scene with Robin broke my heart :(

"you spend a little more time in this town, love and you will realize just about everyone is related" LOL someone wrote on Tumblr "Next on OUaT: Winnie the Pooh is evil and he is actually charming's grandfather" lol seriously writers enough already! So Ingrid wants to kill everyone so she would have sisters again? Just when you thought she couldn't get any creepier.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who thinks this whole Rumbelle relationship is sick and toxic! I wanted Belle to believe what the mirror said so bad she was right about everything but she trusted Rumple AGAIN, hopefully she will find out the truth soon, and it was nice to see her having more scenes and a storyline, the last episode she had one scene she was babysitting Neal and didn't even say one word.

I'm still not a captain Swan fan and I will always be bitter that they killed Neal to make it happen, but I have to admit when their scenes are short and doesn't dominate the episode I kinda find them cute.

  30. I'm only encouraging her. I understand policy that "I love this" and "I can not accept that", but only groaning, groaning and groaning is deleterious to everyone's eyes.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Dearie. You talking to adult and mature human being. I know it's hard to understand.

  32. Please try reading my original comment again because I think you, uh, seem to have misunderstood A LOT of it.

If you're not interested in discussing complexities in a television show and only interesting in pestering because someone didn't like the same things as you, please go away.

  33. Favor for favor: stop groaning, groaning and groaning like Drama Queen.

    ReplyDelete
  34. So far the only one groaning, groaning and groaning is you. Just because you can underline and bold text doesn't mean what you are saying is helpful or worthwhile. Please, Drama Queen, stop commenting on my posts unless you have something to say about the episode.

  35. Nah, you're not the only one who thinks Rumbelle is toxic. He treats her terribly and is fine with having her believe horrible things about herself because it works out well for him, that's just not healthy or good at all.

I feel the same. I've always hated the CS because it felt really forced and creepy, the way Hook followed her around. But when they have little scenes, they work a lot better towards showing them as a cute developing relationship than when they have whole episodes devoted to it.

  36. I recall A& E saying the CGI would be too exspensive.Plus, they have Grand Pabbie,Sven,Kristoff,Hanz,Anna,Elsa-IMO that's enough Fizen characters.I did like Olaf in the movie though and it would've been cool to have him.

  37. If you're interested only in hating this show, please go away.

  38. Go back and read the original comment, dearie.

  39. Neal didnt die for it to happen... they were already happening on that beanstalk! Thats how you write a structure based episode to see and lay down a groundwork for them and that episode was it! Neal wasnt even going to be more for Emma!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Totally agree. Rumbelle is twisted. OutlawQueen, on the contrary, is turning Regina into the caring person she once was. I have hopes for them. Regina's selfless act in Family Business will most likely just make Robin love her even more. I'm rooting for them - there's great chemistry there. As for CaptainSwan ... Don't really feel their chemistry ... I guess, we'll see. Don't care about Frozen ... It's just filler for me. I guess they need to explore the map.

  41. The Frozen stuff in this episode was awesome, esp. the love that's evident between the sisters, even in scenes when they're not together. I liked the scene with Anna and Elsa, as well as Anna and Kristoff ("young-ER"). The Arendelle flashback was a good piece of the storyline puzzle filled. That whole business with the missing Arendelle sisters, Ingrid's past, and how that informs her current modus operandi, was actually pretty good writing.

All the special effects and props were again well done.

Glad to have some Regina scenes. "Captain Guyliner", ha! Great line. What with the Frozen storyline, I get that some characters and their storylines will have to get spaced out more.

I like the potential for this Twisted Sight spell. Sounds foreboding, and seems like a credible threat. After seeing what that mirror did to Belle, I'm actually interested in seeing what havoc that spell will do to the whole town. Those townspeople, esp. Granny and Grumpy, always seem so ready to form another mob.

Belle background storyline, involving her mother, and her past with Anna, was good character development, while also ultimately proving useful and fluid with the rest of the story.

The truth is, they couldn't afford Olaf's voice. Which makes Olaf Olaf.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I find this extension of the Frozen storyline very interesting. I like the mystery and I like that we're dealing with material that we're not as familiar with.

    ReplyDelete
  44. How was it shown that the deal in Skin-Deep was non-consensual? Quite on
the contrary, I saw this scene as showing that Belle knew full well
what she was doing and was in fact the one initiating the deal with the
Dark One, because she felt so bad about what happened to Anna and wanted
to make up for it somehow. oO You must watch this show utterly
    differently than I do.
Also, I do not think the scene in his shop
was that bad. Yes, he did not tell her that the dagger was fake - he was
and still is that she will leave him. Of course that's not good, but
his motivations, at least, are not nefarious. And he did try telling her
that she is not a bad person and persistently comforted her, saying
that she is not a bad person, that the mirror was not her true self and
that she did not fail Anna.
