  1. Not a bad case of the week. I seriously did think it was just the manager guy so when the wacko mom came out to play in the very minutes I was like damn. I felt bad for the poor boxer guy he was stuck between a bunch of bad people who were just using him.

Interesting about the conversation or hostage conversation Truble had with the mysterious group we don't know much about yet who are looking for Grimm's. Glad she didn't say anything or let on about Nick. I hope Truble doesn't ever get killed off because man Nick would feel some intense guilt about that. He's like her big grimm brother and you can tell it kills him to send her out alone on missions. Even if her injury or death were to happen and it wasn't his fault he would still blame himself.

I know some people are seriously hating this whole Nick and Adalind connection but I actually look forward to what is to come of it. Assuming it is done right. Although I would love to see him get his grimm abilities back at some point before mid season. I am liking vulnerable Nick and seeing how important being grimm actually is now that he is without it.

And Adalind I do not trust that weird dude you snuck out with at all. Again like you walking into that dungeon in the first place it screams of TRAP. But then again I don't really like you either so if you do die good riddance (as long as it doesn't kill Nick too).

  2. Love, love Louise Lombard as Renard's mother. She is so perfectly cast. That was one nasty mother of the boxer though. Hope Nick gets his powers back before 2-3 more episodes, enough already. And hope Trubel sticks around. If Wu is brought into the loop, we will have a great Grimm Gang going. Good to see Bud, if only briefly.

  3. Did I miss something? I thought in the promo it showed another Nick/Adalind moment, those intrigue me and I was looking forward to maybe another one this week with more insight.

  4. Not certain that was really Adalind- the actress gave an interview in which she said there was a twist to her having taken Juliette's form - so we may get a different form switcheroo .

  5. Yeah I don't know about next weeks but I know the promo that aired last week for this one that just aired showed us another Nick/Adalind connection moment that I could have sworn I didn't see this episode. Unless I missed it when I flipped the channel for a moment. But I thought there was a missing scene from the promo of last week. Unless the scene was moved to next weeks episode or put in the wrong trailer.

  6. i don't want truble to go to that cult sounding organization i want her in portland with nick and juliette where she belongs and Mama Renard is so cool, she's a great ally and can i just say very pretty without being weird lol, i'm loving nick's fatherly worry over truble and i kind of shipped truble with the boxer clay lol

  7. Gotta say, since I'm a hurt/confort fan, I was disapointed to see that scene wasn't there, been lexcited for it all week long^^; Hope it will be in another episode. It was probably in the wrong trailer since there was no scene with Monroe-Nick in this one,

  8. Great episode!

Trubel not telling Nick about what happened to her with Chavez was surprising. Why is she suddenly keeping something that's a big deal from him? or is she trying to find out more information on the secret organization? Hmmm, don't leave Trubel!

And I wonder why Juliette told Monroe and Rosalee to stop finding a cure for Nick. My guess is that she likes him better without the powers (which is a problem). Nick's reaction when he finds this out is going to be interesting.

Elizabeth seems like a great asset/addition to the gang. Hopefully she'll stay in Portland and help out whenever needed because I really like her a lot.

Finally we got some more Monrosalee! I was worried when they seem like they were being pushed to the side and forgotten completely for a second there so I was happy to see that they are continuing to look for a cure/helping Elizabeth. They definitely deserve more screentime/storyline because they are so adorable/important to the show.

Wu not knowing absolutely nothing about Nick so far is really frustrating me. Come on guys, stop dragging it out and tell the poor man! Also liked the brief appearance by Bud. Always liked him!

Adalind suddenly showing up in Portland next week is going to be one hell of a ride. Can't wait! More of her causing havoc is always a plus.

  9. great ep, enjoyed the little contrast of the mothers somewhat on the ep, with the crazy Bull mom and Renard's mother, who I really enjoyed and hope that she hangs around some more at least in a recurring fashion ans I really loved all the scenes with her and Monroe/Rosalee. Liked that the Scoobies are proceeding to ascertain a cure/get a handle on the side efx of Adalind's spell despite Juliette's demand that they cease their efforts.

  10. I was also looking forward to this scene and to see more of that connection, but it definitely wasn't in this episode.

  11. Maybe that's her way out of the show. She goes with that organization and only has a few guest appearances in later episodes. She can't stay with Nick and Juliette forever and having two Grimms all the time is a bit too much. Nick can't take her with him on cases all the time and when he finally gets his powers back, she's not needed anymore. At least not the way she is now. But working for this mysterious organization would be an interesting way to keep her on the show.

  12. Wu really needs to know by now. I can't understand why they are delaying the inevitable for so long. Nick saying that he's not a Grimm anymore so what can he tell Wu is just stupid. It doesn't matter if he's a Grimm or not, it's about the Wesen world and he can explain that to Wu like nobody else. Or Hank has to do it, telling him about his own experiences. But this whole holding back gets old.

  13. It was Very good, Nick is running out of time Wu's patience is running our he needs to be let in the loop ASAP, case of the week was good, really felt sorry for the boxer, his greedy mom and promoter just using him up for greed, that was cool the way he and Trubel bonded, I believe once Nick gets his powers back, Trubel is going off to work with the resistance that kidnapped her, the FBI lady, seems to be one of the good guys, that's why I think that's Trubels future!!! causes if she keeps trying to help Nick he's going to have a heartattack worrying about her!!

  14. Meh. I liked Renard's mom and Monroe/Rosales stuff. Not enough Renard which sucks. They really need to tell Wu and soon it's beyond dumb at this point.

I liked Clay and Trouble but that's about the only aspect if the case of the week that interested me. Clay was really nice though, love to see him back.

I wonder if Adiland's mystery helper is working for the King?

Other than that I was mostly bored with the episode.

  15. 100X

You said it... Wu needs to know about the Wesen world, period. ASAP.

    - So Wu has comfirnation that he's not crazy (his past experience)
    - So he understands the importance of Grimm's maintaining the balance between the good Wesen and the bad Wesen
    - So he stops investigating Trubel

He does not need to know - yet - that Renard is also Wesen.

  16. Loved Renard's mom, too, and the contrast of 'crazy Bull Mom' both doing what they thought best for their sons. Once again, Juliette is seriously plucking at my nerves.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Clay and his mom! I thought they looked familiar. Hank was really into her. Agree they need to tell Wu.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Hank? Are you thinking about Hank's PT and her brother? They were a different kind of wesen, a cat type of some kind (cougar, jaguar, etc).

    ReplyDelete
  19. Sometimes I just can't explain how Nick thinks. He wouldn't tell Juliette about being a Grimm in the beginning and now he won't tell Wu because he's not a Grimm anymore? Well, that's Nick for you. Maybe Juliette should do it.

    ReplyDelete
  20. But if he asks, "Is Renard a Wesen, too?" he should be told the truth.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I hope she stays. She has turned out to be a really good actress.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I agree, but only if he asks or Renard volunteers the information himself - really, the answer should come from Renard himself - or an extreme need arises. Baby steps first.

  23. But working for this mysterious organization would be an interesting way to keep her on the show.

I'm actually wondering if, assuming this mystery organization is the up and up, if this the way to work the characters (Trubel/Chavez) out of the show logically (i.e., Trubel joins Chavez's organization full time once she 'vets it' and Nick gets his Grimm powers back). Maybe even for a possible spinoff or temporarily for more training than Nick has time to do even after he regains his powers. Normally Grimms don't have full time 'real jobs' that require being on call about 24/7.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Okay, I think I misunderstood you. You meant not that you're happy to see Clay back again, but that you WANT to see him recur. Me too.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Nick finding reasons to not open up to Wu is consistent with his character (as in, wouldn't tell Juliette until he had to). It's so unfair to Wu, though, to not trust him with this knowledge. Trubel's secretiveness was more understandable. Chavez told her that if she told anyone, she'd get them in harm's way.

Jacqueline Toboni has turned out to be a great asset to the show. Very believable as a Grimm. I hope they can keep her.

What's the deal with this special group Chavez is trying to recruit Theresa into? Is it legit?

Good to see Bud. Funniest line of the evening. "I'm going to go right home and... not tell anyone."

I'm hoping the resolution of Nick's power loss crisis is not a letdown. Like suddenly he gets his powers back and the whole situation is dropped, never to be mentioned again.

  26. I know right. I am a hurt and comfort fan to as possibly crazy as that might me seem and I was disappointed that we didn't get that scene. I think it is very likely to be in next week because Monroe is back around with Nick and Hank from the looks of it and the setting background looks more similar to that scene. Also I really would have liked to see that scene because only Juliette really got to witness how bad the connection between the two is. The others have only vaguely heard reference to it while doing their research for a cure. This connection could jeopardize Nicks ability to stay focused in danger situations.

    ReplyDelete
  27. "What's the deal with this special group Chavez is trying to recruit Theresa into? Is it legit?"

Yeah, I am very intrigued by this. What group is this? Could Chavez be part of the Resistance? Hmm. But the Resistance' main fight is against the Royals and their job is not to police the Wesen. The Wesen Council is the one keeping bad Wesen in check but they already know that Nick is a Grimm and Chavez didn't know anything about Nick. Is it some some sort of vigilante Wesen group who take out evil Wesen? Could be.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Me too. I like her character.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I still don't buy Louise Lombard as Renards mother. I know he said that she'd had work done but to me she looks more like his wife than his Mom.

BUD! :D Danny Bruno is a fabulous actor! Wish we could see more of him.

I'm not sure how I feel about Trubel... I agree with others who think that having her join this other organisation would be a good storyline to keep her as a guest star. Once Nick gets his powers back then I don't see much else for her to do?...

    ReplyDelete
  30. A vigilante group. That would be a good plot line.

    ReplyDelete
  31. What is hurt/confort?

    ReplyDelete
  32. oops sorry for the typo, *comfort

Basically, it's when a character get hurt in any way you can think of, could be physical (broken bone, torture, stab....etc.), it could be drowning, poison, sickeness....or could be emotional too. And others characters need to come and save/take care/heal the one that was hurt. There's a LOT of fanfics about it, about any character.

I know it sound bad/sadistic to love that kind of stuff (don't worry I don't love people getting hurt in real life ;) )...but for me, what I really enjoy about that is the ''Comfort'' part of it. Seeing others characters going through so much to save their friend, take care of them...just make me enjoy more the connection between them. But that's just me. I hate so badly when, in a show (or in a fic), when a character get hurt, the team show up and the writer(s) skip time and go directly to everything is well again....

  33. I got confused at first since I never heard of that but then I thought it was some weird ship name for Nick and Adalind.
