  1. The strongman must die. Not to turn into Dandy here but I hate that strongman. He needs to go. If Dandy wants a victim take him.

That being said Dandy is also frightening.

Still hoping that Emma Roberts and Denis meet an ending similar to the move "Freaks" for what they are trying to do to the freaks. I hope they become the ultimate messed up freaks. Sleazy.

  2. Matt Bomer and Gabourey Sidibe as guest stars were great surprises. I thought Stanley seriously killed Bette and Dot, I'm so glad that wasn't real cause I would've been very sad. I hate that strongman and Angela Bassett has a crazy storyline this season OMG. Elsa is up to no good as usual and Dandy is cray cray but very sexay!

  3. It was great that we learned a lot of new things about Dell and Desiree. I like again that they are taking the time to develop the characters. It is a slow burn this season but that means the action kicks up in the later episodes.

  4. The backstories are coming into play. Gloria Mott blames inbreeding for Dandy's nature. Gloria Mott was also the one who asked to buy the Siamese twins in the first episode (why?). Now Elsa delivers them to Gloria's front door.

  5. This episode lived up to the name of the show for sure, I felt sick and uneasy for a huge portion of it. The cupcake scenes were a complete mindfvk and the shot with the twins in bed was highly disturbing. Matt Bomer was excellent, and *that* scene was by far the most disturbing scene this episode.

  6. Brilliant episode. Finn Whitrock continues to give the best performance of the entire cast, and hopefully bringing Dot and Bette into the story with Dandy will give Paulson a chance to get into some decent material. She's been great all season, but I feel like she's been rather under utilised so far, without a good opportunity to show her talent. Although what the hell was with Gabourey Sidine tonight? It was only one scene but she just seemed extremely awkward throughout.

  7. I can't get enough of Dandy, had a crush the entire time knowing he was going to become a full blown serial killer... This s#it cray cray

  8. I haven't up until now and now I feel bed that I find a killer attractive, I mean that scene when he was working out was kinda sexy...Also I thought he was about to please himself while he laid there. And speaking of sexy - Matt Bomer...from what I've seen in the scene in the trailer the man is gifted. Swoon. Hahah.

Anyway...I can't put my finger on Elsa. I love the complications with Desiree, I knew she was with child as soon as she started bleeding...and I knew Jimmy would make out with her after that failed attempt at kissing Esmeralda (or whatever her real name is). I am surprised Ethel didn't flip out when she heard about it...And my friends has called Dell being gay a week or two ago, even before he couldn't perform.

Creepiest scenes were of course the 'dream' sequence with Bette & Dot dying, Bomer's character's 'death' and Dell twisting the knuckles of the doctor, ouch. And I loved seeing Dandy all covered in blood by the end, haha. This was a classic AHS moment.

And I love the use of Bowie this season, I squealed with joy when I heard Fame.

  9. Okay, lemme just go... strongman... I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU!!! That being said, I'm so sad for Matt Bomer's character. I would DEFINITELY have paid the $36 bucks for everything, probably $100 too but then not killing him like Dandy did.

    LOVE this show so much!!

It is kinda sad though that all Jessica's characters have such a fondness of smoking cigarettes. Although that's probably just me who is bugged by that.

  10. I totally agree with you about Dandy ;)

  11. Whittrock is not doing it for me. Maybe it's because I can't stand his character. I just don't see any nuance in his acting, he's unconvincing and flat. Now Jessica Lange, oh my goodness. How many sides have we already seen if her? She's an amazing actress.

  12. This is the "darkest and most disturbing" season of American Horror Story............even more so than "Coven" (No Spoilers)! You (the viewer) have to see this episode/season in order to believe it. I really don't know where "Murphy" is going with this, but I'm in it for the finish............I have to see how this ends! Sorry about the late posting. 4 A SHOW FULL OF FREAKS, I am Nobody!!!
PS - was the "gay pro" with Dell/Dandy that actor from "White Collar"?

  13. so that's why Dell was with Desiree cause he thought she had a penis?, lol...☺...

  14. This season finally catches up! The first episodes were kind of a bore but that changed since Edward Mordrake. I didn't see that Dell twist by a 100 miles. So great writing here.

Finn Wittrock is revelation! I never noticed him. I only saw on a minor guest spot on Masters of Sex and he didn't stand out to me back then. But he has some skills considering that facial expressions.

  15. Lange Bates Bassett = Priceless

  16. Somehow im incredibly happy that Dell's toy boy was murdered, he has nothing now cause Dais and Ether are gonna know that whatever happened to the Dr. was Dale's doing.
DAMN The motehr is gonna kill Dandy i ahve that feeling.
And really, I was expecting so much more from Sidibe's character. That was just a dissapointment

  17. I'm not a fan of his character either. But I can't deny that (IMO) his performance has been great, and it'll be interesting to see him and Paulson sharing scenes together. As for Lange, this year has been her weakest performance wise. Again, IMO. I think she's fantastic, but this year has left me really disappointed with her, which is a shame if this really is going to be her last season.

  18. The thing that bothers me about her characters is that they all behave in pretty much the same way.

  19. I'm going out on limb and predicting the Sidibe's character will be back.

  20. Now if only they could have her play a character who doesn't have evil tendencies! It seems like it's too late for that now; Ryan Murphy has been content to have each of her characters written in pretty much the same way since her character in season 1 was so well received.

  21. Well to be fair, this IS horror genre. I understand what you're saying, but I do see more than a pattern in the roles she is handed. Her characters evolve, they go through emotions that she carries off so so well. Her characters have depth. She is able to show so many facets of her character's personalities whether it's the shallow insecurities or soul baring moments of pain. You just "get" what she's delivering. The character if Dandy, on the other hand: what is great about what he's doing? I don't act, other than having done school plays when I was in elementary school, but if I had to execute the role of a spoiled brat that never grew up turned psychopath I could perform temper tantrums and yell and scream at everybody just as well as this actor does. He hasn't done anything that I'm impressed with yet. Now if I had to execute the role of a German wanna-be past-her-prime starlet who pretends to be tough to hide the various burdens of a dark and painful life who manages a freak show.... Then no, I wouldn't know where to pull my muses from. I'd have nothing to go on. She's brilliant. She is given the toughest roles, absolute crazy combinations of human nature and she nails it. Every time.

  22. Wait. You're comparing the role of a grown-up spoiled brat psychopath to the role of Lange-- do I need to list all the elements of her character? Read my comment below to Oceanic108. Are you familiar with the cooking show Chopped? They get a Basket of mystery ingredients and are told to cook something. Perfect analogy for Lange and her roles on AHS. It's like they put character traits in a basket and pull them out randomly, create an overly complex character and say "Here Jessica. Act this out". She nails it every time.

  23. I'm not denying her acting abilities, I just mean that all of her characters on the show seem very similar to me. It's kind of hard to explain; I know that they are all different, but they still seem the same in a lot of ways. I wish that the writers wouldn't just write characters a certain way because they know that that actor has already done a good job in a similar role, and they're actually in danger of doing that with their other regulars as well.

  24. I wasn't comparing their roles or characters. I was simply stating that I have found Whittrock's performance brilliant this season, and highly unexpected. Then you brought up Lange, not me. So in a completely unrelated to what I think of Whitrock. I expressed my opinion that Lange, while fantastic, hasn't impressed me as much as she has in previous seasons. Her performance is still brilliant, but if I were ranking her, I'd say Asylum, Murder House, Coven, and then Freak Show. Because I think she was better in previous seasons. Doesn't mean there aren't many impressive elements to her character, it's just my least favourite.
