    this looks really promising and I love that Alfred looks like he will be going full protector/avenger for this ep.... I wonder if they will reveal that perhaps Alfred used to be a soldier or a former MI-6 operative like some versions of the comics/animated series speculated

    You're far from the only one. I've met hundreds of people on social media, especially twitter and tumblr, who ship this version of them. And of course, if we're talking about the adult versions of them, that's an iconic pairing.

    This is an open question to all:

    For those who are "shipping" Bruce and Selina; I would like to understand what you want to see. What are you hoping for or expecting to happen? And why?

    I've been a vocal critic of the two of them even knowing about each other, let alone meeting, let alone interacting or developing any kind of relationship this early in their lives. I understand that the writers and producers will take their characters in whatever direction they choose. That goes without saying. This isn't about defending canon or arguing the merits of a multiverse or keeping strict adherence to the comic books. I understand that. That argument is over.

    I understand and agree that these two characters are destined to be lovers. What I want to know is why people are so interested in seeing this now when they're children. What are people hoping to see?

    Please help me understand because I really want to know.

    1- People want to see Bruce interacting with someone his own age who actually makes him smile and lighten up.
    2- People think knowing each other as kids will make their bond even stronger when they're adults and make it even harder for Bruce to bring her to justice when she does something wrong.
    3- It's cute. You have to be pretty damn jaded to not find their interactions from "Harvey Dent" to be absolutely adorable.
    Those are the three main reasons.
