Selina living at Wayne Manor? Call me a purist if you want and make all the sorry excuses about multi verses and re imagings and this is the show and not the comics. But this is a desecration of source material that has stood around for 75 years.

I'm out! Too bad. This show was going along so well up to this point.

There's a reason why Action Comics #1 is worth more than $3 million and Detective Comics #27 worth more than $2 million. Its because the source material is endearing and enduring. Selina and Bruce knowing each other and interacting this much steps all over the source material.

  3. They're really doing their best to make Alfred look like a complete jerk. Hopefully he gets a redeeming moment where he's actually nice to Selina.

  4. If you cannot enjoy a show just because it's not accurate to comic books for kids that you read, that's a huge problem. Movies and shows based on actual historical events take larger liberties all the time. But God forbid anyone should make changes to fantasy stories. LOL. You could not make them both series regulars and not have them meet. It would begin to really annoy the majority of the watchers.
Nolan's movies step all over the source material too. Doesn't change how beloved they are. But nothing I'm going to say is going to convince you, so goodbye. Enjoy your comics.

Well Winger I typically try not to respond to people who respond to my posts. I'm a firm believer that you post a comment or opinion and people read or don't. Choose to add to it or don't. It's up to them. But you've gone and made it personal so you've earned this. Remember you chose to respond to me first.

Saying "just because it's not accurate to comic books for kids that you read, that's a huge problem" is suggesting that it's juvenile and that I am somehow being juvenile. For that you earn a resounding f*ck you, you don't know what you're talking about.

Also note that at no time have I ever said that these shows need to be exactly like the comic books. I've never once ascribed to that notion. I'm perfectly comfortable with subtle and clever changes that have been made. I even said "Too bad. This show was going along so well up to this point." You seemed to have missed that part. You seemed to have only focused on the comics vs tv show argument as though you were wearing blinders. Horses wear blinders, Winger. Are you a horse or a thinking person that should be able to extrapolate complex ideas from the written word?

What I did say and have said previously is that the source material is 75 years old and that as a result it has endured. So much so that they are the most sought after and valuable comics in the world. That makes the source material worth respecting. If you don't understand that then again: are you a horse or a thinking person?

Finally, Nolan's movies don't enter into this. I haven't brought them up and leveraged them in any way so I can't see why you would choose to either. Ineffective argument; you should be able to do better than that. But then again we're deciding whether you're a horse or a thinking person.
