  1. I am loving the Frozen arc! And so great to see Elizabeth Mitchell again. LOL at their take on Little Bo Beep too.

Already shipping Emma/Elsa. Oops, didn't mean for that to happen at all. And I noticed some weird chemistry between both David/Anna and David/Elsa. LOL, weird.

    Awesome episode!

  2. Everything is Captain Swan and nothing hurts.

  3. Okay. I liked the flashbacks with David and Anna and Boo Peep was so awesome. The Regina and Henry scene was very touching and Snow's scene when she was yelling at Granny and the dwarfs was funny. But other than that I was bored. I did other things during the present scenes with Elsa, Emma, Charming and Hook to be honest because I was just bored with it. But the trailer for next week looked much better. The Snow Queen!

  4. I loved the Emma/Elsa bonding, this was clearly a set up for the Elizabeth Mitchell chaos to come, and a good one, I enjoyed it

  5. Next weeks episode The Snow Queen vs The Ice Queen!!!

  6. The Frozen Arc is continuing to impress me. The most enjoyable season since season 1. I can't wait for Elizabeth Mitchell next week!!!

  7. I'm loving this the flashbacks was amazing with David and Anna with Bo peep the Regina and Henry scene was touching lol at Snow being piss Emma and Elsa friendship looking forward to yes finally seeing Elizabeth Mitchell character

  8. I like that Past David and present Elsa was basely going through the samething.

    Love seeing Ruth again.

I didnt care for Bo Peep.

I did notice Bo Peep's gazebo look just like the one from episode 3x12 where Philip and Aurora was at at the time everyone returned to the Enchanted Forest.

I'm Liking Elsa and Emma new friendship. They could be great friends. #FrozenSwan lol

Honestly what made the episode for me was seeing Elisabeth Mitchell.

I cant wait to see what's next!

  9. I'm excited for next weeks episode already this is probably gonna be the best season if they keep up the momentum

    ReplyDelete
  10. Better than last week, but not top notch just yet. At least Anna wasn't such an annoying goofball. Didn't care much for Bo Peep (really hoping that was a one off and we don't see her again - at least not in a major role). Missed Regina. Liked the Mary Margaret scenes. Wondering why Elsa didn't say, "Dad? He's not old enough to be your dad!" (Wouldn't that be most people's reaction to hearing Emma call him Dad?! I mean, Josh is a couple years younger than JMo. C'mon!) Hook kinda bugged me the way he acted like he was more upset at Emma's peril than David. Or maybe it just bugged me that David didn't really react much about Hook's actions.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I didnt care for Bo Peep either. she doesnt need to come back EVER

    ReplyDelete
  12. I love all the dynamics of this episode.... Charming and Anna, Elsa and Emma, Daddy Charming, Charming and Hook bromance... and Emma/Hook - the date talk lol, she called him there, the hug, the hand holding... that was beautiful.
And the last shot of of Snowing and Captain Swan...and Elsa wanting Anna - Charming saying they dont ever give up and we find each other... and then Henry/Regina shot - THIS IS HOW YOU PRESENT A VISUAL TO THE VIEWERS and who family are and who matter, and who you love!!!

    ReplyDelete
  13. loved the emma and elsa scenes and loved emma calling david dad, hated the stupid regina scene, and i guess i can't deny it anymore elizabeth mitchell is the Big Bad of the first half of the season

    ReplyDelete
  14. I don't think Elsa was too concerned with logistics. She's a stranger in a strange place, and the only time she saw David was when the ice cave was collapsing.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I'm sure Josh Dallas loved to shoot those long hair scenes. Such a Diva. Haha

    ReplyDelete
  16. Hook was obviously gonna be in more turmoil coz he loves Emma, and also he loses the ppl he loves the most and has done before.... and he is in love with Emma. David is a father.. there obviously gonna be a difference to the reaction of them to how they react

    ReplyDelete
  17. I really enjoyed this episode ....wish there had been more Rumplestiltskin but then I could always use some Rumple in my life. Haha! This episode was good! I liked the FB w/Charming and Anna, and I especially loved the end scene w/Regina and Henry. How cute was that?

Is the woman from LOST another Frozen character? I never saw Frozen so I wasn't sure if she was that movie's "big bad."

    ReplyDelete
  18. I also enjoyed their take on Little Bo Peep! Haha!

    ReplyDelete
  19. better episode than the premiere, way more focused and coherent, since it only deals with the frozen arc. Premiere was too busy; this was a stronger hour, Keep it up OUAT :D

    ReplyDelete
  20. She's not in the movie but she's more of what Elsa was "going" to be. In the fairytale "The Snow Queen", the Snow Queen was the villain and that's how Elsa was originally written for Frozen but after hearing "Let It Go", the writers decided to re-write the story so she was no longer a villain...so long story short, Elsa good, Snow Queen bad!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I have to say Hook hitting at the ice with his Hook to free Emma was kinda sweet but also kinda funny, in a good way :)

Elsa and Emma meeting was amazing! Anna was lovely again and her teaching David to be brave was nice.

But my favorite scene was seeing Elizabeth Mitchell's Snow Queen freeze her room and turn milk to icecream, wish I could do that :) She's seems perfect.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Great episode again. Only missed a little more Rumplestilskin/Mr.Gold. I'm looking forward for Snow Queen next week.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I could never rate an episode with 20 seconds of Regina awesome. Tbe, I was quite bored through most of the Frozen stuff on this ep. Mobster Bo Peep was a good twist and comical. Not impressed in the slightest, overall, but next week with the Snow Queen looks promising.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I liked the episode a lot more than I thought I would. Seeing Elsa and Emma bond was sweet. I'm glad they are becoming friends.

Captain Swan moments were precious, the hug and then entwining fingers and cuddling at Charming's home made me melt. I liked (and hated at the same time) seeing Killian so worried for Emma's safety.

NOT ENOUGH REGINA, THOUGH. But I guessed she wasn't going to have much scenes in the episode (because of what the press release said about her) so actually seeing her in one made me beyond happy. Her scene with Henry was lovely, it's good to see Henry saying all that stuff to Regina, in a time where she needs it the most... great to see some mom/son bonding time. Seeing how their relationship has been through out the show it's nice for a change to see him worry and reach out for her.

I screamed out of happiness when I saw Elizabeth Mitchell's character. She is so wonderful, I've loved her since LOST, it's nice to see her on OUAT now. Everybody thought she was gonna appear on the third episode so it was a nice surprise to see her on the 4x02.

Can't wait for it to be next Sunday already so we can watch the next episode!

  25. i love Elsa & Anna..

  26. It was a lot better than the premier. I fairly enjoyed it, especially the Emma-Elsa scenes and Hook-Emma hand holding.

EM's appearance was brilliant. The David flashbacks were a bit naive but still quite enjoyable, didn't thougth Bo Peep's character would be so intriguing

    ReplyDelete
  27. Last week I was a little worried that they were spending too much time on the Frozen Arc. But this week I found myself getting on board. It feels like the story is in control and I'm looking forward to seeing where it's going.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Liked the episode a lot. Really glad Elsa finally connected with the main cast. I like that they've got Regina struggling to do the right thing. I think it would have cheapened the character's journey for her to just flip back to villain in the face of one major setback. (Though I did love Marian standing there trying to figure out why everyone was on the evil queen's side last week.) I applauded Henry for going over to the house anyway. My favorite scene was Snow bellowing at all the whiners ('You spent your lives without lightbulbs. Buy a flashlight!') Bo Peep was a hoot. And a butcher. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  29. Loved the episode, better than the premiere.

Enjoyed all Emma/Hook scenes (loved the hug after the rescue, holding hands/entwining fingers and cuddling on the couch. so cute. Hook was really worried about her, and then the relief when he had her in his arms, my heart melted). So glad that Emma is opening her heart to Hook, finally some progress), the Elsa/Emma scenes were great (I can definitely see a friendship/sisterly bond between them) and even the David/Anna flashbacks was nice to see as well. To see how different he was when he was younger, and now look at him. Charming is now a strong and determined man wanting to do what's best for his family, and it was all thanks to Anna. And now he wants to help Elsa, I wonder if Anna is still alive (and if she is, where is she)?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Let's hope they can keep it up the whole season. I hope they do. The Maleficent storyline could also be pretty awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  31. For me the problem in the reactions from David and Hook was Colin o'Donoghue's major overacting. I kept looking at the screen, shaking my head and wanting to tell him to tune it down a notch coz he's trying way too hard and it's showing. Josh Dallas did much better with the material given to him, but Jane Espenson totally did shove David and the David/Emma relationship aside in this ep.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Oh my gawd! Snow Queen... I LOVE EVERY VILLAIN in this show but PLEASE DON'T KILL HER AT THE END OF THIS ARC!

    ReplyDelete
  33. The big bad from Frozen will also appear later this season, but it's not The Snow Queen we saw at the end of the episode.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Oh Liz! Your going to be fun!

Liked this ep so much better than the premiere. Georgina as Elsa is perfect and is she only in just 6 eps? Really?

    ReplyDelete
  35. As far as I know, Kristoff will be in 6, Anna in 8 and Elsa in all 11 episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Good stuff
The Charmings family in the beginning of the ep <3
Emma/Henry <3 (where was the hug we saw in the promo?!?!?!?!?!?!?!)
Snow was amazing and funny, I want more of THAT Snow ;)
Emma/Elsa as a Brotp :) (All Emma's scenes in the cave were awesome)
Anna (seriously the casting for her and Elsa couldn't have been better)
    Farmer!David's hair :p
The Snow Queen! (literally can't wait for her!)
    Daddy!Charming
    and the best, Henry/Regina :'( <3<3

    WTF but funny stuff

    Farmer!David's hair :p
Regina sending a crow..... (seriously, she couldn't send a text?! )
Charming learning sword fight in one day....

Leeroy forgetting that he know stuff about electricity (see S1)
Hook trying to hit at the ice with his hook was half funny half useless and a little pathetic :p

bib boot or big boo or boo beed? How did they write that name seriously :p is she suppose to be the lady in toy story? her name must be different in french because I don't remember it. How did they write that name seriously :p is she suppose to be the lady in toy story? her name must be different in french because I don't remember it.

    Bad stuff (in my opinion)
Not enough Regina but I guess that if they had called her, all the drama could have been stopped in 5 minutes max and then no ep and no Emma/Elsa.... :)
All the CS and Hook .... *sigh* I genuinely wish I could love Captain Swan and love Hook again, it would make watching OUAT so much easier for me... I'm really really trying but for now I truly can't :(
They're cute in S4 and look good together on screen but I can't pass the fact that they're erasing and not even addressing all the issues that this pairing have to make Hook looks like the perfect-cute-puppy-in-love-boyfriend and CS like the perfect, healthy and cute couple....
I will seriously try to get use to it because I know it's not going anywhere and I want to continue enjoying my favorite show and favorite characters but damn it's hard...
Lol I just sometimes wish I was a CS shipper because Once must be a really happy place for them right now :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. It was OK at best in my opinion. I mean, if you're a captain swan shipper, ofc you're going to love it. But me myself, I love watching Robert and Lana on screen (as they're the best actors on the show imo), who are BOTH 2 MAIN CHARACTERS IN THE SHOW, and yet we barely had either of them. However, they managed to fit in so many Hook scenes that were just.... Laughable. Disappointed really. However, seeing Elizabeth Mitchell has raised my hopes up a lot!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Great moments.
I like episodes like these, to develop more on the characters and dynamics - hence this time Charming and the other bromances here.
There was no need for Regina or Rumple in this episode... they didnt fit in.
It needed the dynamics it needed between these characters and why they all fit together and their purpose... Snow/Charming, Emma/Hook...... Charming/Anna, Charming/Hook, Charming/Emma, Charming/Elsa, Emma/Elsa... Snow/BabySnowing and Henry with his family and finding his mum Regina... final shot was what this was all leading to...

    ReplyDelete
  39. The Regina/Henry scene was sweet but they really needed to include the Regina/Snow scene. It should be more important to have scenes between the female leads than filler stuff. The Captain Swan stuff is so tired

    ReplyDelete
  40. Really enjoyed the episode!Had some great scenes between a lot of characters.
Emma and Elsa are a great combination, lots of potential there and I'm really happy with their first scenes.
Hook and David are always fun together.I never expected to love their scenes so much, but the writers have found a nice balance in their scenes,in my opinion.
Emma and Hook embracing was probably my favorite part.I really, really like the pairing and watching them figuring things out and reacting to certain situations is amazing.
Snow also had some great scenes. It's been a while since I enjoyed her character that much, but mostly because of her limited screen time (for obvious reasons). It was nice to see her a little more.
The lack of Regina and Gold didn't bother me that much.I do enjoy the characters but, having a good number of characters in a show means that not all of them will be so heavily involved in every episode. It's normal.
Excited for the Snow Queen.I mean,we've seen some really nasty people on the show, but using an ice cream shop to cover up your evil ways is pretty low.
I'm curious to see how the Frozen characters will reunite. We saw Anna in the EF way before the first curse,Elsa has been trapped for some time and I assume Kristoff didn't stay in Arendelle either.Things are really confusing right now.

    ReplyDelete
  41. In IMDb they only list Georgina Haig as being in 6 episodes..

    ReplyDelete
  42. As someone who likes Emma and Hook,Once really is a good place right now, you're right. ; )
But I am under no illusions that things will remain so smooth.I'm pretty sure a lot of issues will be addressed throughout the season and there will be problems between them.
I understand that not all people like the pairing and I obviously respect that.I mean, there are some very popular aspects in the show that I've had some serious problems with.
I do think though that they've done a decent job with bringing both characters where they need to be in order to start a relationship.
I mean,Hook has definitely made huge mistakes, but all three evil-turned-good characters have done so.And in my opinion,Regina and Gold on a much bigger scale. We just have to accept the fact that some things will just be ignored after a while.
Anyway, don't let anything get in your way of enjoying the show, since it's your favorite.I'm sure there are other things that will make up for it,even if you never manage to warm up to this pairing. : )

    ReplyDelete
  43. Ahhh . . . . I don't think I'm familiar with "The Snow Queen" fairytale! Oh well, I like that actress. This season is good so far :-)

    ReplyDelete
  44. Thank you! I was not sure. I guess I am not up-to-date on my fairytales. Haha!

  45. Frozen Oncers(was TeenWolfers)6 October 2014 at 15:18

    That was an amazing episode!

I loved the Emma & Elsa scenes, they were almost like sisters
Anna teaching David how to fight was brilliant & Bo Peep was brilliant as well.
Elizabeth Mitchell was truly amazing too, even though she only had like one line, I haven't liked her in anything I've seen her in but I can really tell she's going to be fantastic as the Snow Queen :)

It nearly broke my heart though when Emma hugged hook instead Charming when she ame out of the ice cave.
It's also impressive that they managed to create such a great episode without the 2 fan favourite characters, Regina & Rumple, sure they each had a small scene but still...

This is so gonna be the best season!

    ReplyDelete
  46. That's Jane Espenson's MO

    ReplyDelete
  47. I loved it, much better than the premiere, the only thing I didn´t like was that Regina only appeared 30 seconds or so and only said one word :( But other than that, it was awesome, Elsa and Emma´s bond, Emma and Hook, the enchanted forest flashback, the snow queen, etc., it was all AMAZING.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I think it was better that Emma hugged Hook first here esp the way she came out and how Charming kinda gave her to Hook.
Its about time this happened, that Hook is here for Emma and her partner and more!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Also one of the relationship of OUAT is Emma/Hook, its NOT just ship wise... its a relationship being developed and building into character and as a couple.
I think if some ppl took that a whole thing that added to the show then just ship talk it will impact more esp since Emma/Hook have always been the build up.
I dont see the issue and so on with Emma/Hook - WHY? because clearly both Emma and Hook understand how they are and how they are with each other, they understand and know that... but Hook does what many others havent - puts Emma first, loves her like she deserves, supports her and believes in her, and is there and i think that matters the most!!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Hook would of hitted that ice till he found Emma... like he said he is not giving up.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Its much more impactful and to showcase Emma/Hook's first hug and instincts here then Charming and Emma who have hugged before.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Yeah, but it would have only taken a quick line to cover it.
    Elsa: He's your Dad? But...
Emma: Yeah, it's complicated. I'll tell you about it sometime over a nice cup of hot chocolate. (Emma blows on her hands to try to warm them up.)

    ReplyDelete
  53. David is a father realizing with a new baby how little he's been involved in his daughter's life - how much he missed. I think he would be just as upset as Hook about Emma being trapped with an unknown sorceress. But it wasn't level of upset over Emma that bugged me. It was Hook grabbing the walkie talkie away and David not even reacting to it happening. Hook isn't exactly his favorite person...

    ReplyDelete
  54. Yes, he was a bit over the top...I'm hoping they get around to that change of clothes soon and that it helps him chill a bit. lol

    ReplyDelete
  55. We needed to see Emma and her actions to Hook and it clealy was put across in the hug, the hand in his hair, and interlocking their hands. It made a impact.

    ReplyDelete
  56. He was frantic with worry which is what i assume anyone who loves the person who is in danger would be. :)
Colin was spot on especially due to the fact he has lost ppl he has loved before very cruelly

    ReplyDelete
  57. I think Charming gets it, he understands it. Obviously Charming was upset but i think what the person meant was there was going to be abit of a difference to how much Hook was frantic or David being that and being practical as well. They worked well together.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Lol my problem is that I think the exact opposite :)
For me, Hook is just there for a ship, for CS, nothing else. His entire purpose and storyline is about being Emma's boyfriend.
He was amazing character before but since they started changing him radically for CS, he just lost all his appeal to me.
Emma is my sometimes first/sometimes second favorite character on Ouat but when I see her with Hook I don't recognize her and I really don't see this as character development, I'm more WTF, where's my real Emma Swan....

To be clear I'm not trying to convince you or anyone else, since we all interpret things differently and I truly think we're both right since it's the way WE feel about something.

Frankly, I just wanted more for CS because on paper it's absolutely "my kind of ship" and I was really excited in S2 (I even made some fanart about them) but then S3 happened and I was so disappointed because In my opinion CS was poorly executed, poorly written, rushed, OCC for Emma and OCC for Hook, I think he didn't have any redemption,he just (suddenly) fell in love Emma, Emma is good so he's a good guy now. He didn't repent for "his crimes", He didn't seriously apologize to anyone, he didn't really struggle with himself and Emma's trust in him is based on hidden truths/lies (for exemple in Emma's pov, he's still the one who help Ariel/Eric) That's how I see the situation and how I interpreted everything we saw about CS but I know many see things differently and I'm ok with that.

I'm not ok with the fact that the writers have ignored those issues and probably will never address them but like Katerina 22 said "We just have to accept the fact that some things will just be ignored after a while." and if I want to still enjoy Ouat, I will try to accept that

    ReplyDelete
  59. I dont believe they changed Hook. Because this man was always about love. his revenge was based on love and why, and losing his brother the one he loved made him be a pirate. The lack of love in his life, but i always felt love was his motivation. Love has brought him back onto track.
Emma is my fave too since season 1, and im glad the way they have done Emma and Hook from the beanstalk days, coz that laid the foundation of these two people who bonded and connected on there and the understanding

    ReplyDelete
  60. Loved this episode. It was definitely better than the premiere. Haig is gorgeous, and The Snow Queen is so freaking awesome! Anna grew on me this episode. Lail is really good at delivering all her potentially-cheesy one-liners and bumbling. She's very likable. So happy with the Emma and David focus, my two faves. Hook banging at the ice with his um ..hook was ridiculous, but I love how worried he was about Emma. Jared was great in this episode too. Season 4 is shaping up real nice!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Win for Captain Swan and Regal Believer! Elsa wasn't bad either!

    ReplyDelete
  62. I love all the Frozen stuff. Episode flew by so fast, I didn't even know it was almost over until credits rolled. The actresses playing Elsa and Anna are both doing so well in their respective parts. They're both integrating well into the Fairytale Land and Storybrooke environments, and interacting so seamlessly with the main characters we've gotten used to since the beginning. I'm already excited about Elizabeth Mitchell's Snow Queen going up against Elsa and the Storybrooke group. I am really impressed with how well the Frozen arc has played out so far on Once Upon a Time. This is the most I've enjoyed, and looked forward to the show, since season one.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I'm not a big Charming fan, but this was actually a quite enjoyable episode. The only thing that bothered me was that every time they cut to a new scene I caught myself expecting to see Regina. Come on! That thing at the end doesn't even count as a scene! (It was really sweet though). I need a Regina centric episode right now.

  64. Nicolás Caballero Mühlbach7 October 2014 at 01:38

No no and no, The Snow Queen was a neutral character, the villain of the story is an evil troll.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Good episode. I admit I busted out laughing when I saw Bo Peep the mobster. "Nice sheep you got here..."

I think they've portrayed the Frozen sisters nearly perfectly, both in appearance and personality.

Long-hair David was hard on the eyes, but I appreciated the backstory a little and MM/Snow flipping out on everyone was a funny moment.

So far, S4 is far superior to S3 in terms of how they got the ball rolling.

    ReplyDelete
  66. It was really not the time for fighting over a damn walkie talkie. David and Hook sat in the same boat. The wanted to rescue Emma. That was not a "Who loves Emma most" contest. BTW, I think the love of a father and the love of a boyfriend are not comparable.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Elizabeth Mitchell in that final scene... So many Juliet vibes! She will always be my TV crush, I adore that woman so much

    ReplyDelete
  68. I wasn't looking for a fight....I was looking for a look. Nothing that would even need dialog. I just expected a small reaction and there wasn't one. I think if somebody grabbed something out of my hand at a moment of intensity like that, I'd be slightly shocked, not just expecting it. It's really not that big a deal...

I agree that the love of a father is different from the love of a boyfriend, but every individual love has its own characteristics. I don't think it's fair to say that one of them loves her (or worries) more than the other just because of his role in her life.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Awesome episode. I like the way they're developing the Frozen story and the way other cast members like Charming are integrated in the story. Emma and Hook were adorable. Loved Mary Margaret and I liked the Elsa/David sideplot. So far, this season is off to a great start!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Wow Bo Peep arc is as wretchedly bad as the werewolf pack episode...
