  1. This show just got better. How did it manage to do that when it was already my favorite new show?

  3. Pay attention to every detail is the key for this episode because this brought so many twists tonight!

  4. This show requires pen and pad in hand, just like Analise's student cause you don't know what's coming next., didn't see that coming with the daughter being the killer, oh hell I didn't see a lot of things coming, I hope it can maintain the awesome writing and acting, Imho I think Shonda has done it again, I'm loving HTGAWM!!!!

  5. Love this show! But Shonda, let's get real... no lawyer would or could ever proceed sleeveless in a courtroom.

  6. So did the daughter already knew her dad killed her mom and was faking being upset about it because he knew she killed the second wife he was protecting her

  7. Another awesome episode.

Okay, so my theory right now about Sam's murder is that he was stalking Rebecca (because he can't keep his hands off his students) and she wasn't having it. So when she had the chance, she killed him. She obviously panicked when she committed the murder and then called Wes and the students to help and protect her. That's all I got right now but I'm pretty confident with how it went down. Also, I just realized this, why wasn't Asher there on the night of the murder? Hopefully they answer that because that has me intrigued.

Now the Lila Stangard murder is difficult to theorize about because we basically have no information about Lila/the murder other than the fact that she was emailing Sam before she died, she was part of a sorority, her boyfriend, Griffin, and now Rebecca were taken in for questioning. I can't wait to get more information about this murder.

And wow, Viola Davis absolutely killed it in that scene where Annalise started to panic about possibly Sam killing Lila, has crazy sex with him, and then sheds one single tear. That was sign of pain and fear. Amazing! It will be interesting to see why Sam deleted the Lila emails.

P.S. Bonnie looks very suspicious. I'm looking out for her every time I see her. And "We're all capable of terrible things" is a very important/true quote.

  8. No, I don't think so, he honestly didn't know she killed his second wife, she did know that he killed her mom and lied about it, she found out he lied about her mom, when she went to where she supposedly had a car crash only to find he was acussed of her murder, he was cleared of her murder, but the daughter wanted revenge that's why she killed the second wife and tried to frame him, he knows she did it Analise told him, hope that helped:)

  9. With Frank's remark about Bonnie, I expected her to be the one in the motel room. She's the most interesting character, right after Annalise.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Mmm, I like your Theory about Rebecca and Wes protecting her very good, that really makes sense, Analise could use you:) you're on top of things, this show keeps getting better and better!!!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Rebecca isn't a student at Middleton though.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Ahhhh, you're absolutely right about that. Damn! I thought I had it all mapped out perfectly but it looks like I got one major detail wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Before Wes come into Room 203,I though Analise is a murder of her husband but she's not! Oh! I'm crazy HTGAWM right now!

    Nothing like real law school...

Law school is such a total scam: it's a scam to make greedy law profs and administrators rich off your federal student loans. DO NOT GO unless $200,000+ in non-dischargeable debt, no job, and living in your parents' basement is your idea of fun.

    Google "Law School Lemmings"

  15. The murder trial "twist" was very clever, the writing of "character development" has so far been top notch, and Viola Davis is delivering "killer" performance scene after scene, especially the final scenes with Annalise's lover and husband..............simply a brilliant performance! 4 A MURDER FREE TRIAL, I am Nobody!!!

  16. One thing I didn't get was: where was he supposed to be while his second wife got killed? Did I miss that info? He couldn't have been at home, he would've noticed the murder, but if he had an alibi, he wouldn't be a prime suspect in the first place, would he? That's one plothole that I never thought of during the episode, but then I started thinking, and now I can't stop ;)

    ReplyDelete
  17. This is a limited series, right? 16 or 18 episodes?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Yeah, I was actually expecting her to be there too, especially since Rebecca was too predictable...or so I thought when I mixed up the murders, LMAO! This show is knocking out of the park week after week, I am officially hooked. And people here are right - I think we'll need to write everything down to follow.

    ReplyDelete
  19. The serialised aspect if this show is super exciting. I can't wait to see how the murder of husband and Lila Strasgard is intertwined. Also what is Annaleise's hand in these? Great performances from all the cast. I am intrigued by the character Bonnie. Wes has such a puppy dog face and expressions and they called him a puppy.

    ReplyDelete
  20. The first season will have 15 or 16 episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I wouldn't call it a plothole. It's safe to assume he had an alibi that couldn't be verified by another person.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Since nobody brought it up, I guess I'm not the only one who missed it: Wes lied about the coin toss. He said it was heads, even though it was tails. How the hell happened it these two and a half months that puppy eyes is pretty much running the entire cover-up?

    ReplyDelete
  23. I do not trust Wes neighbor, something in her does not fit me.....

and I love Connor :)) "you are to old to be a twink" XD

    ReplyDelete
  24. I hope not. I think this tv series will be like Law&Order (not svu)

    ReplyDelete
  25. You know I've been trying to figure out, who is Rebecca and where did she come from, cause like Justin I sure thought she was a student, what's her connection? Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I know right!!! The puppy is the mastermind, looking all innocent, now I guess it was to cover for Rebecca, that twist had me fooled, I was really expecting Ms Keating to be behind that door of 203, man I'm intrigued :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Rebecca is Wes' neighbor and works at a bar that is the go-to place for Middleton students. She also knows Lila's boyfriend.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Woooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Ok, I remember her I'm lost on who the girl is in 203, Thank you I can't believe I'm getting lost so quickly, they're throwing so much at us:) Thanks again!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  30. I knew my eyes hadn't deceived me last night! I was like, "Wait...no...that's not..." So yeah, definitely very curious as to why he would lie about that to the rest of the gang. My guess is it has to do with him protecting Rebecca somehow...but how?

I love this show, Wes and Connor are my favourite characters :)

  32. I can't imagine that a network show is limited. What if it's a huge it? They just stop it even though it scores over 3.0 every week? I don't see that happening.

    ReplyDelete
  33. The first season will be limited, i.e. it will only have 15/16 episodes. From S2 onwards, it will probably receive a full season order, just like Scandal did.

Davis told EW that she got ABC to agree to no more then 15 episodes a season so I don't believe it'll be extended. (Apparently it's so she has enough time during the filming hiatus to work on other projects)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Shonda doesn't really have any creative control over the show.

    ReplyDelete
  36. It's limited because of Viola Davis's availability.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Don't see that happening,. Just like Kevin Bacon agreed to doing 13 episodes a year of The Following, I think Viola only agreed to doing 16 episodes per season.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Oh, she doesn't it just looks like all the markings of one of her shows, does she just have her name attached to it? Could you explain please, cause I'd really like to know, Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  39. Oh, I didn't think about that. I just remembered it from a few months ago but never bothered to think about why it was limited. Thanks for pointing it out.

  40. She is only the executive producer. It's about financial and legal matters.

Peter Nowalk is the one who created the show. The poor man is eaten alive by Shonda Rhimes.

The funny part ? Whenever someone criticize it's Shonda who takes it. She didn't do anything people ! I even read an article where they basically reproach her to surf on the sucess that Scandal and Grey were. God she didn't create the show nor write for it for that matter.

Her name is sure good publicity however.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I am completely hooked on this show, it's probably my favorite hour of TV of the week right now. It's amazing. Can't wait for the next. I love all characters

    ReplyDelete
  42. Wow, did not know that, Thank you for responding and Thank you for the education, I want say my admiration of her has been tarnished, I'm just happy to be enlightens I really thought that it's her brainchild, again wow, and no creative control, like It's said what's in a name*Shonda* Thanks!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Well you know, I think it's actually independent of Shonda.

The poster actually says "from the executive producers of Scandal" Nowalk was one of scandal executive producers (14 episodes according to Imdb and also write one episode).

It happen a lot. On films, video games. It's not necessarily on purpose. They are always so much people responsible for a project. There is a bunch of profession. I wouldn't know a half of them, I gess. It's even worse for a Tv show, every episodes you have differents writers and directors. It's a crew work. I could not say how it works exactly. There is people for everything. And advertising too but I'm no expert.

Movies, writer and director are sometimes not the same person. Take "The Nightmare Before Christmas" Burton did think the story and the characters but according to my dvd the screenplay was from Caroline Thompson. And Burton didn't direct it. But Burton is the name you recall. Technically it is his creation but he is certainly not the only one who worked on it.

Nowalk created the show, he didn't direct the two first episodes, but did write them, but it's not him who wrote the third one, and he will not write all the episode just like shonda didn't wrote all grey or scandal episodes.
Well directing and writing are two different things.

Maybe they do check on the screenplay before it's send to the actors or god knoes what. I have no idea. It probably works differently on every sets.
My point is, it is far from being simple !

She didn't create "How To Get Away With Murder". Maybe she did help with it or work on it? Who knows.

Her name has been associate with the show and now the show has been labeled "Shonda Rhimes". I don't thnik it's particulary her fault

  44. Awesome follow up episode. I'm loving this so much right now. Can't wait to see where the next episode takes us!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Thank you, very much I do feel much more, empowered with this new found knowledge, I mean it, and again Thank you for taking the time to explain, the technical aspect of things!!!!!👍👍

    ReplyDelete
  46. Both the Following seasons had 15 episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Damn this show is better than Grey's and Scandal combined. I love the whole cast, and the procedural thing is more fun here, the cases and guest stars are interesting so far but they only take up half the episode and don't detract from the drama or development of the main cast or storyline....so far, at least, and if the remainder of the season is so well executed this might end up my favorite show. And I don't even like the idea of my favorite show being something non-genre. lol

  48. My theory: Sam had or is having a affaire with rebecca

Well, still is Shondaland, Shondaland is the company co-producing the show, which is owned by Shonda Rhimes, that's why they call it Shondaland, because even if she didn't create it, she's the force behind its production. Without her name and credibility this might not have been saw as a strong show, nor would have had some "advantages" inside ABC walls (see Off the map, a so so show green lit only by being part of Shondaland), the creator worked alongside her, she saw his idea and she put things in motion. But the brilliancy behind the concept and writing is Paul's.

Well, remember he side "they didn't want to, but I got them to do it", that was it, they didn't want to go back and get the body, and dispose of it, they only did it because of the coin's result, which Wes smartly lied bout it. I think he got some tips from Annelise. I'm still not buying the whole "I'm in love with my neighbor, so I'm gonna cover for her", it doesn't seem to fit.
Maybe that was his plan all along, maybe he killed Laila, and he needed a patsy to go down for it, that's why he moved into Rebecca's building and is so eager to get to know her, why he's always so shocked about the news of the case, why he got in the class anyway, to learn how to get away with murder.
    Got it? xD~

    ReplyDelete
  51. Ooooh, that'd be an interesting twist. I do feel he sincerely, at the very least, likes her, but wow, yeah, that would certainly lead to some interesting places. He would indeed be the last person anyone would suspect of murder, judging from all the comments here. Everyone's so sure Annalise is involved in Sam's death somehow, and thinks Sam had something to do with Lila's death.
That's one thing I like so much about this show. Any theory seems plausible at this point-it's so fun seeing everyone's take on who did what to whom and making the most wild of predictions.
