  1. SO MUCH BETTER than the premiere. Even one of the shows best!

    hold on, writing my thoughts

just tell me Laurel was good because twitter is the opposite with hate

    ReplyDelete
  5. I will always say losing Sara so they can beef up Laurel Is terrable trade.I pray to god Oliver telling Felicity they can't be together isn't prelude to him and Laurel.

Of course they didn't find sara's killer. The killer Is going to be Ra's al ghul or someone else from league of assassins. They are creating a mystery although it has to be tied to ra's the bg bad of season 3.

That ending.Thea isn't just a hottie anymore but a kick ass hottie.

    ReplyDelete
  6. of course it is the opposite on twitter
she had some REALLY good scenes and Katie acted it out perfectly.

Laurel was sophisticated and was on a mission, of course she made the mistake of wanting to kill Komodo but that was understandable.

Some people will always hate her for being 'in the way'. BUT she made a 180° turn from whiny to strong. Props to the writers.
To some fans Laurel will never be okay because she's not Felicity

She was good! In my opinion, at least!

  8. Liked it a lot better than premiere. Very strong episode. Very Sad as well. I knew Komodo wasn't the one who killer her. It was interesting to see how everybody reacted to Sara's death. I liked Laurel in this episode.. She had to deal with a lot of grief. Loved that Diggle names his child Sara. Interesting that Felicity is working for Ray Palmer now. I wonder where that story-line is going. Good that Oliver knows there Thea is now. Glad that Roy told him.

I liked the Thea/Malcolm cameo at the end and am excited for her storyline. I did not like however how Thea called Malcolm "dad" though. I know it's nitpicky but I hate how tv shows deal with adoption and stuff like that and is she forgetting that Malcolm killed the man who raised her, who was pretty much her father.

  9. The most intense and emotional episode so far!!! great performances from the cast!!! and that finale..omg, a completely different Thea! Oliver will go crazy..Arrow is the best show on CW right now, the best!!!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Juliana Carvalho16 October 2014 at 02:12

The only thing I didn't like was the fact that she ultimately chose not to tell Det. Lance. Her season 3 grief process is already a lot better than her season 2 grief process.

    ReplyDelete
  11. It was a great episode. Just the ending, I was waiting for it, but still... I was expecting a lot of thigns from this, but Thea actually calling him "Dad" is something that is going a little far... But I guess she did really get over the obviously abuse he put her through and being responsible for the death of Tommy.

But with all the synopsis' for now, I'm still worried it's going to be a hypocrytical situation where she's going to completely lie to him from now on, specially about her and Malcolm, while she works for her "daddy"

    ReplyDelete
  12. I thought it was awesome. I'm still upset they killed off Sara, but this was one of the best eps yet. Just everything, the acting was great, all the scenes were great. Even seeing Thea at the end was perfect. And I definitely want to see more of everything. This ep is what really makes a great show. Flawless.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Normally, I absolutely hate Laurel. I've wanted her off the show for years now. But she was fine in this ep. Really. I didn't hate her for once.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Bertha Strongham16 October 2014 at 02:19

Black Canary is his destiny. However, the writers gave this an out by having two BC's.

    ReplyDelete
  15. She didn't tell her dad because she was scared he would get a heart attack and die. She can't handle losing him, too, right now. I think alot of people would have made the same choice under those circumstances. If he didn't have the heart condition, she would have told him.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Bertha Strongham16 October 2014 at 02:20

    Agreed on Dad comment.

    ReplyDelete
  17. omg are you ban1o????

    ReplyDelete
  18. Laurel was okay imo. I just felt sadder for Oliver and Felicity than I did for Laurel...

Even if is understandable, I still think he deserved to know, to be in her funeral at least.

  20. because Felicity cried you a river?

  21. Awesome episode that contained really great acting and was a perfect tribute to Sara Lance.

Katie Cassidy absolutely shined in this episode and from what I'm seeing, a lot of people think the same. Laurel has made a complete turn around and I'm so freaking happy for her. Her journey to BC is already off to a great start! Great job, Katie.

The repercussions from Sara's death was pretty damn emotional, especially Felicity. She was devastated and the scene where she called her job and said "There's been a death in the family" absolutely crushed my heart. Also, Diggle naming his daughter after Sara was so sweet.

I was a little disappointed that Laurel didn't tell Quentin that his daughter is dead but it was understandable. She probably didn't want him to raise his heart rate and make him have a heart attack. But he has to find out sooner or later and oh boy, when he does, it will be the most heartbreaking scene yet on the show.

Felicity joining Ray Palmer was such a surprise! I didn't think she would actually do it! I'm very excited to see how this storyline will shape up in the future.

That final scene was awesome and so damn satisfying! It was really worth the wait. Thea has turned into a certified badass and Malcolm is as snarky as ever. Can't wait for their big episode next week!

  22. I haven't watched this show since season one. I only started watching this season because of the flash. So whats going on with the ending

    ReplyDelete
  23. Do you know who these characters are?

    ReplyDelete
  24. lmao I'm wonderwall :p I literally saw you make the same post and my mind was blown. *cyber five*

    ReplyDelete
  25. Yeah olivers sister and her father

    ReplyDelete
  26. I didn't cry at all actually :p But nice try mac

    ReplyDelete
  27. *cyber five back* lol. Yeah I just copied the post and added a little bit to share my thoughts lol.

    ReplyDelete
  28. alright, erm....her father is the bad guy from season 1 and Tommys dad (The Dark Archer). Thea discovered that her dad is Merlyn through Slade, who turned evil, and after discovering that Merlyn was alive and everybody lied to her went with him to become stronger and abandon the "weak" person she used to be.

In short Merlyn is turning Thea into mini-Merlyn

    ReplyDelete
  29. not you, but her overacting

    ReplyDelete
  30. lmao oh! I didn't think she was overacting... I thought KC overacted a bit in her crying scenes. I much prefer he bitchy side.

    ReplyDelete
  31. lol wut?
Katie kept the crying on the down low....unlike EBR

    ReplyDelete
  32. Everyone always deserves to know. But I totally understand why she didn't.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Well I'm allowed to have my own opinion :p I thought EBRs crying was subtle and not full on sobbing. Compare that to her at Moira's funeral, I think she's vastly improved her acting.

Let's just agree to disagree on this.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I'm sick of people saying that the only reason people don't like Laurel is because they like Felicity. If that was true the same people would have hated Sara, Helena, or any of the other women that turned Oliver's head.

Laurel is just a poorly written character.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Bertha Strongham16 October 2014 at 02:47

Also KC is a bad actress!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I agree about Roy almost being a glorified extra or maybe guest star is a better word lol. Maybe he'll get more to do later.

    ReplyDelete
  37. And I'm sick of biased people screaming at one character while loving another that is as, if not more, faulty.
Guess we all have our displeasures.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Well, I actually like Katie Cassidy...Just not in this role. I actually started watching the show for her because she kicked ass on Supernatural.

Unfortunately they have no idea how to use her. It seems like their main plan for making people like Laurel is "Keep putting her through bad things until people feel sorry for her". It's not working for me.

    ReplyDelete
  39. no, extras don't have any lines and stand around. Basically what Roy is doing atm

    ReplyDelete
  40. also you may want to look up the definition of "some people"

    ReplyDelete
  41. he did have lines in this episode though :P

    ReplyDelete
  42. A bit disappointing that there was little Sara in an episode named Sara; I liked Laurel's plot through the episode, but everyone else, even Oliver, felt extraneous on most parts. It's like the episode was unsure of what it was about; Felicity's scenes with Palmer, Ollie trying to get a hold of Thea and the following reveal that she is god know where, and even the flashbacks felt like they belonged to another episode.

There didn't need to be a wild goose chase on an episode that could have stood on in the emotional fallout, or at least not focus the hour's time on said chase.

It just felt to much like a "baddie of the week" episode, without enough reverence to the reason of everything, Sara's death.

    ReplyDelete
  43. "Original Trio" facepalm. sorry Shannon but that term alone is making me puke. One part of that "original trio" didn't become part of the team up until the 16th episode....actually to some degree Laurel helped them first.

    ReplyDelete
  44. She's the only one in the episode who looked like a normal person grieving. She just looked like she was overacting with the crying because Oliver was keeping his emotion in check and Laurel was angry sad (with reason). EMB did good.

    ReplyDelete
  45. nah he had a few more than that I think more like 5 or :P

    ReplyDelete
  46. Really impressed, I found the episode great and awful at the same time,

I'm still disappointed by Laurel story, really painful to watch and her still being reckless, giving lines but no explanation about how she brings Sara's body to the foundry or IDW, I may missed it

I really enjoyed the action scenes and Diggle being so supportive, Roy being honnest

And the end with Twisted Thea, I'm looking forward to her story with Merlyn

    ReplyDelete
  47. So many? Geez, three more and he actually warrants 30% of his paycheck :P

    ReplyDelete
  48. I thought this was another excellent episode! I am sad they killed off Sara though. I liked her character. I also liked the Felicity/Oliver confrontation. That was a really good scene!

    ReplyDelete
  49. I liked this episode a lot(with the exception of the flashbacks) I totally get where they are taking Laurel's character and I like it so far. I really liked the Felicity and Roy scenes. I can see there is about to be some major tension between Oliver and Felicity since sh has decided to work/date the new owner. I'm excited to see that. I can't stand the flashbacks anymore. Although I'm not sure what was with the whole motorcycle face off between the two, it seemed to just be weird, I mean honestly Oliver could have stopped him but for some reason he didn't. Now Roy telling Oliver was good but at the same time Roy get over it. I'm so excited to see Oliver and Thea "face off " with each other. I know Merlin is training her so that when she finds out the truth about Oliver she will be so filled with rage that they start to go after each other. But I hope his plan back fires and Merlin dies for real this time. Over all a good episode.

    ReplyDelete
  50. why 13.16% awful? GREAT EPISODE!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  51. The Roy character should fully kick in not that they have brought Thea back.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I rarely venture into the Arrow episode discussion threads but I have to say this was quite a good episode.

Laurel's anger/rage and grief was portrayed well by KC. It was nice to see her channeling her rage during the questioning and also later on when pointing the gun at Komodo. Liked her scene with Quentin in his office and her lament in the graveyard that no one would know about Sara.

Nice to see Felicity take charge and make a decision about her life/priorities that didn't involve Oliver.

Amell was playing the part of a person who was keeping the grieving under wraps. He did good.

What is the point of Roy?

Great scene at the end with Malcolm and Thea. Did Willa Holland cut her hair? She looked GOOD.

Also hoping that they don't turn Malcolm into some goody two shoes - he is a psychopathic killer. But I have a feeling that the writers will tame him down, give him some good qualities because I feel that they will ally him with Oliver against the threat of Ra's Al Ghul.

any awesome episode need some haters as a enemy so there actually a conversation!

    ReplyDelete
  54. There there is always good to gets things out LOL

    ReplyDelete
  55. What a great episode. Laurel, this was her episode, the one that will lead her to becoming Black Canary. It's time she takes that rage to the streets. I'm loving Laurel's arc this season, finally! I love this reckless Laurel because for once she has all the reason to be like that. It's her sister and Oliver shouldn't tell her how to feel... His pain is nothing compared to her's. Kudos for Cassidy, she did ok.

It was good for them to give Roy more to do and using other than the bow and arrow. It makes sense if they're going by Arsenal. Seems to be a great friendship between Roy and Felicity, like the actors have. It's a nice touch.

Felicity's speech to Oliver was spot on and we see how it has an impact on him. Felicity makes the choice that she wants more from life, wich gives the viewer a chance to see her character outside of the Team Arrow box for further development. Oliver's personal journey this season is going to be a good one and it hit him hard by seeing himself on Sara's place. He's starting to want more out of life and now that Felicity is going to work with Palmer it should create a great tension until the characters are ready to get together.

Diggle naming her daughter Sara was a nice touch(but i knew it already, it was too obvious). He had awesome exchanges with Oliver.

Greta seeing, finally, Thea and Malcolm! Time they get home! :D

    ReplyDelete
  56. Oh no, don't get me wrong. I love Team Arrow as a whole. Oliver, Diggle, Felicity, Sara, Roy. But when they have just the three of them. Having their moments, That's special to me.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Sorry if I misunderstood but the way you phrased it made it sound like you were dismissing criticism as people who just want Olicity.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Oh I get that, I like Oliver and Felicitys quirky little moments but only the term 'original' irks me a bit. They're not the 'original trio' as you said, Felicity came in way later to count as original. Fans have been using this term way too much to degrade and bash a certain character that it almost sounds like swearing to me already

    ReplyDelete
  59. not all of them are lunatic idiots, some are. Others have valid points.

I have encountered enough people bashing Laurel based on her being 'in the way of Olicity' though. It's a loud fanbase that does that. Some may have a point, others couldn't give me one

    ReplyDelete
  60. Ha! Thanks i'm good now. I needed to do that. That needed to be done. I'm calm now.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Well to me Felicity came in episode 3 and she stuck and she was permanent by episode 15. (I like to think she was permanent before that, that's just me) To me it started with the three of them, they were first. And when they have their moments, that's more special to me. We don't get them as much as we used to, so i enjoy them when it happens. As for "bashing a certain character" Never did i/do i mean that, in that text. AND I don't need to use that term to bash any character. If i''m gonna bash a character,(for any show) i'm going to outright do it. Not sugar coat it. That's not how i do.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I still would count Felicity as an original member of Team Arrow. Personally I think it takes knowing Oliver is Green Arrow and helping him to be an official team member.

And Felicity was helping as early as episode 3...she just didn't know it lol.

    ReplyDelete
  63. good then, lucky that you were't one of these "I'll photoshop [insert name] out of that picture because she's not part of the original trio" guys

    ReplyDelete
  64. LAUREL IS AMAZING!! Shes my favorite on the show!! Oliver and Laurel needs to stay together at the end...Overall amazing episode like always!!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Well i'll admit that bothered me, at the time, but more so for Diggle and what it meant for his storyline this season. (or what i thought would be his storyline this season). But i didn't "rage" about it, or dwell, or wave my fist in the air screaming, "Noooo". I just shrugged it off. I didn't like the picture as a whole in general tbh. I liked it when they fixed it, and just had Oliver in and no one else. It just looked better.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Bertha Strongham16 October 2014 at 03:56

Agreed on her role on Supe's. I thought she was ok.
But I watched the movie Scribblers and she was horrible, as she was horrible on Melrose Place reboot. Also, not a fan of how she has portrayed the character thus far on the show.....this to me is not just a matter of writing or direction, but a direct correlation to how horrible she is as an actress. A true actress defines the role that they are given....IMO she has squandered it. Perhaps she needs to read the comics....or rather do some homework, to derive motivation. All I know is, SOMETHING has got to give, and that ain't just a movie title.

    ReplyDelete
  67. True fact: the Kennedy family (yes, JFK's family) never told the father, Joe, that Bobby had been assassinated. He was very ill, and the family didn't want him to suffer any more; having suffered thru the JFK assassination. So, "Laurel's Choice" has a basis in fact.

    ReplyDelete
  68. It was an overall good episode, definitely better than the premiere in my eyes.
KC was amazing, how she protrayed Laurel's inner struggle was fantastic, I can already tell I'm going to love her arc this season. I wish she had told Quentin though, I get why she didn't, but he deserves to know the truth.
Loved Roy's moments with Felicity. Now Felicity crying so damn much bothered me slightly. I'm sorry but when did her and Sara become BFF's? I get being affected by it, but really it was a bit too much. Of course it wasn'r EBR fault, it was just bad writting tryin to give people more Felicty tan the episode required. That said, I am very glad that she's taking reigns of her life and she's doing something for herself by taking the job. That's a step in the right direction giving her something else other tan Oliver and Team Arrow to focus on.
Now onto Oliver: I think Amell was a little wooden, but then again Ollie was trying very hard to not let himself grief, so I'll peg it to that eventhough I would've liked to see him feel more.
Diggle and Lyla namming the baby Sara was a nice little touch, albeit predictable.
As I said it was a solid episode, not awesome, but great.

    ReplyDelete
  69. This is the moment where i realized you said something (30 min later) and i'm just in a little bit of relief right now. I'm not gonna say it. I'm just going to say, Thank You. And I just want you to say, "You're welcome" and nothing else.

    ReplyDelete
  70. just had to say EPIC this episode was freakin amazing. I loved Laurel I mean that girl was so badass she didn't disappoint. loved it. I also loved the moments with her and Oliver I loved the fight they had even more than I enjoyed the comforting moments. I CAN NOT wait for more Thea and Malcolm that little taste just wasn't enough. that story and Laurel's journey w/Oliver's help (because it's so obvious she is going to need him) are without a doubt going to be my favs this season

    ReplyDelete
  71. I always tought the original Team Arrow were the three on the underground HQ... Oliver refers to them as "it started with the three of us, we should be back on that" on one of the final episodes of Season 2.

One thing i'm worried is about it getting too crowded... It seems the writers don't know what to do with Roy. Sara was diferent because the plot was kind of around her at that point, in some ways.

I mean, Laurel will end up down there too... They can barely handle 4 characters on a daily basis, let alone 5. Are they going to bring Thea down there too?

Maybe the writers just need to get confortable

    ReplyDelete
  72. I love how you summed up a chunk of season 2 in a few words LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  73. This was a very good episode, but I'm still not convinced that in the long run killing off Sara is a good idea for the series. Sara was the Female Character who had the potential to exist outside of Oliver/Arrow's orbit. Which, would have made for a much deeper, more complex series. But, the writers took the easy way out--killing off the Female Warrior, and using her death as a "plot point" to move forward the Oliver-centric Team. There are creative choices that define a series and its creators--and killing the main strong, female, independent character says a lot about the writers viewpoint of women.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Look, for day one we all knew Laurel was gonna become Black Canary. When Sara came in, it was obvious they were going to kill her off. Laurel was happy as a lawyer and Sara's death would have been the only reason for her to become a vigilante.

They do change stuff on the go if they see that will work better, but this was something that cannot be changed. Once they remove Oliver as a trigger for Laurel's journey and centered it on her relationship with Sara, everyone knew it was coming... If the Laurel of 3x01 would have put on a mask it would have been totally out of character. It was needed. Sad, true, but couldn't be avoided.

    ReplyDelete
  75. ; ). Alright i'm outta here Mac attack, gonna go grab a drink. be back later. Try not to make the fans cry with your words. lol = p

    ReplyDelete
  76. Ohh, may i say that i'm really pissed about Komodo? It was a total let down... It was a very, very bad portrayal of the character.

Just another archer... He could have easily be a Big Bad... They didn't do him justice.

    ReplyDelete
  77. It was one the best episodes of teh series sofar. so much growing for some characters and everyone saw what could happen to them.
I liked that they didnt tell Lance i saw it that this is teh beggining of ehr journey and she willw ant to be the Canary for Sara and to keep the illusion to his dad that her daugther is alive.
That finakl scene with Thea was surprising more to the fact that she called Malcom "DAD" i never would0ve thought there would be one moment when Thea was going to use that etrm on him.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I accept the fact that the writers have always planned on making the Laurel character the Canary. That's not what my comments are about--it's a "viewpoint" that I believe the writers have about strong women. And, there reluctance to develop characters who are not subservient to Oliver/Arrow. Sara's character had that potential, and the killed her. Moira was also a strong woman, who (though a villain) was also "independent" of Oliver--and she died. Is there a pattern? Is this good...even for a show titled "Arrow"?

    ReplyDelete
  79. enjoyed the ep and thought that it was well done... good to see Team Arrow all working together on the same page (save for Oliver's "Batman complex" that he can't pursue personal happiness with his choice to be the Arrow in order to protect everyone). I guess the show will eventually have Laurel go down the path to becoming BC, if so I just hope that they will give us a believable premise for her to acquire the assassin level skills that BC should have/Sara possessed.... so far the writers haven't disappointed so we'll see. Liked getting some exposition on Thea and the training that she is undergoing at the hands of her psychopath father.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Well that was awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Meh he'll obviously be back.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I really doubt that the writers are misogynists or sexist and do that on purpose. Laurel has that potential btw. They do it to provide consequences and emotional stakes.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Even if he does ally, they won't make him good. He's Malcolm.

    ReplyDelete
  84. I'm sorry but really? You need it explain how she got a body to the foundry? Why are you focusing on that?

    ReplyDelete
  85. Still the original trio.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Why don't you rip my heart out and stomp on it Arrow? Oh you did that... This was one of the best Arrow episodes. The emotional quotient in this one was awesome. It was like the characters describing our pain in loosing a favorite character. Bravo.

First and foremost I have to congratulate Blake Neely on the fabulous score this episode. How haunting is that tune when they show Sara dying and Oliver going to the roof trying to get into the mind of the killer. Wonderful.

    What I liked

    - Emotional punch through out the episode
    - Oliver saying he does not want to die in the cave
    - Oliver calling Thea to hear her name
    - Laurel Lance was great this episode especially the scene at verdant stairs where she talks about toy dolphin and at last hugging it. I liked KC's acting this episode except for the first scene in the foundry (a little bit and that is nit picking since I don't like her crying face *I am mean*) I related to her pain, anguish and anger. There was exposition to make us understand her state of mind unlike in season 2 where she didn't have good dialogues for us to get into her mind.
    - Oliver/Felicity's discussion and Felicity deciding she needs much more in her life. You go girl!!
    - Action scenes were stellar. Better than episode 1 imo
    - Digg naming his child Sara and Felicity saying there is a death in the family
    - Ray Palmer's speech this episode was so much better than that presentation last episode.
    - At last Thea/Malcolm and Thea calling Dad. Twisted. She is already exceptionally talented. Thea looked beautiful

    What I had problems with

    - Lance kept in the dark. I can understand Laurel's fear but as a parent I can't stand the fact a father and mother kept in dark about their child's fate. Are they not going to tell him ever. His heart problem always will be there. What is his reaction going to be once he knows. Lance is stable enough to work. He should have been told. But okay DRAMA!!!!
    - Roy still not enough to do for him. He needs to be developed
    - Ray Palmer and his interactions with Felicity will get stale if he don't pull back the I am the best thing a little bit.

There was hardly anything to complain about in this episode. Every actor did their part beautifully. This was an ensemble episode and it was great. Heart wrenching and beautiful. Sara was a character who came like a storm and stole my heart even though I had problems with her character sometimes. She will be greatly missed. RIP Sara. I hope if you get to come back you can come as an evil version.

    ReplyDelete
  87. As a fan of Oliver/Felicity pairing I think we should stop wondering if Laurel/Oliver will get back together in the future and enjoy the current story line. Looking too much into the future is why people end up fighting in the name of ships. Let's enjoy the Oliver/Felicity relationship right now.

    ReplyDelete
  88. As a person who dislike Laurel I can guarantee she was very good. They have taken care in every dialogue and scene in this episode.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I don't know American history so no idea about the same. Regarding Laurel not telling Quentin, I understood her fear of loosing her father took over when she heard about the pills. But Lance is healthy enough to work in a high stress job. If it is a heart problem it is never going to go away. So is she never going to let him know about Sara? What will happen when eventually he comes to know? How will he react he never got to say good bye to his baby girl. Poor Laurel and poor Lance this is so messed up.

    ReplyDelete
  90. SHIELDNCISArrowfan16 October 2014 at 06:29

I kind was hoping cap lance would be involve in the Komodo killing investigation instead of asking The Arrow for help!

  91. I thought every actor was great in the episode. Even Colton Haynes with what little he had to do. Some people dislike Laurel even when she is okay because that's the in thing to do with the circle they keep in the internet community. Most of them are Felicity fans but that is not the reason they hate on her. It's kind of mob mentality and simply tailing other people. Those people are hopeless. Most of the people who dislike Laurel have failed to connect with her till now. That might change for some this episode as Laurel is grieving along with us in the death of a lovely character.
I think this season we will see lots of people liking Laurel if not tolerating her without hate as there is a turn in the character. I am happy I was able to enjoy this episode without being frustrated.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Very true about how some will just hate because she's Laurel. Another character had that same problem on GosGirl, you know being "in the way" and all and his name was Dan Humphrey, so for me at least my girl Laurel is in very good company.,

    ReplyDelete
  93. I never ever want them to redeem Malcolm. He is great when he is at his psychotic best. He might join Arrow in running Ra's out of Star City but he will never become an ally. How creepy was hearing Thea calling Malcolm dad?

I think Nyssa will be the one telling cap lance the truth.........we know there is a scene between her, lance, and Laurel so........he will find out and he probably know Laurel is hiding something

    ReplyDelete
  95. SHIELDNCISArrowfan16 October 2014 at 06:39

of course he be back and they not going to use everything from the comics! I prefer if they just do their own thing

    ReplyDelete
  96. He will be back and then he will be fleshed out. Writes confirmed he has some stake in the end game this season.

    ReplyDelete
  97. That is possible. So it will be episode 4 when Nyssa comes. I hope they tell Lance soon. I don't want Laurel to keep on lying to Lance.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I mean I don't really get where the whole Laurel/Oliver thing is coming from anyways... Oliver was consoling Laurel because who else would? They were both the closest to Sara. I didn't see it as Oliver going back to Laurel because I saw no romantic context or romantic undertones and rightfully so. Laurel didn't affect Oliver's way of thinking the way Felicity did this episode ("I don't want to die down here"), she wasn't the catalyst who made Oliver start his journey on trying to balance out being GA and being Oliver Queen (again same quote as before), Laurel wasn't concerned for Oliver like Felicity was (and rightfully so. She was more concerned about her sister's killer). Basically all of the actual emotional and openly honest scenes on Oliver's end went to Felicity and Diggle.

So I really don't know where all this Laurel/Oliver stuff came from or why people are worried. But okay.

    ReplyDelete
  99. I am glad they did not cram much into this episode. It was just right. Lance is going to get an episode where he learns Sara's death. Paul Blackthorne will kill it. I hope Roy get some good scenes next episode since its Thea heavy.

    ReplyDelete
  100. SHIELDNCISArrowfan16 October 2014 at 07:06

I pretty sure Episode 3 suppose to focus on Diggle as he suppose to go after a ARGUS agent

    ReplyDelete
  101. Here's an odd observation — Felicity's scar from the stitches Sara applied to close the gunshot wound was missing. The orange sleeveless dress exposed nearly her entire shoulder blades, so the scar would have been visible.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Roy and Oliver go to Corto Maltese for Thea. Digg goes along for the rogue ARGUS agent. Since Thea's flashbacks is there and Oliver is trying to bring her home there will be more to do for Roy. I want a Roy/Malcolm confrontation.

  103. OMG you guys are members of previously.tv. Ha!! I have read your comments there.

    ReplyDelete
  104. That damn music when they show Sara's death and when Oliver goes to that roof top. It made me cry like a baby.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Lmao am I that predictable?

    ReplyDelete
  106. Great episode... It really sucks Sara was killed, but I'm glad it wasn't by some non important one episode bad guy.

    ReplyDelete
  107. That's my spot to complain only because people are like minded there. I wouldn't dream of doing that anywhere else because I wouldn't want to be a downer on the people who are actually enjoying certain parts of the episodes. lmao that's also the place where I can actually analyze the show and the characters.

    ReplyDelete
  108. To be fair you can't really do much with Roy in an episode like this considering his almost non-existent relationship with Sara. But I liked his interactions with Oliver and Felicity.

    ReplyDelete
  109. haha you kinda reminded me of her. I wasn't sure you were the same person though until you discovered me...

    ReplyDelete
  110. We discovered each other. :p That was so cheesy, I apologize. Like I said before, you know me too well, friend. I wonder if people will take me less seriously if they see the stuff I comment/rant about... Hmm. Hopefully my comments aren't as bad as other posters there.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Me too. I know they can't do much for Roy this episode but in coming episodes he needs to be developed soon.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Are you a member of any forum where we can privately message each other. Sometimes I want to bitch but don't so it in an open forum.

I hoping Oliver and the team tell Roy about what he did.......it time to come clean......

    ReplyDelete
  115. SHIELDNCISArrowfan16 October 2014 at 08:14

How about roy somehow manage to hack FBI database wonder how he did that......he must have some computer skills

    ReplyDelete
  116. Felicity must have developed some software app which when clicked and input Thea's name he gets info from FBI. What I got from that scene is he basically used Felicity's hacking tool to find Thea.

    ReplyDelete
  117. SHIELDNCISArrowfan16 October 2014 at 08:28

well at least Felicity is not that mad about what he did.......we need more #Relicity scenes.........

    ReplyDelete
  118. thank you so much diggle for naming your daughter sara, and tommy i didn't expect him to have such a presence in the episode, god it still hurt seeing sara on that table it was horrible that they had to put her in the freezer, so yeah oliver was definitely part of the original Suicide Squad and i have a feeling komodo will join the new suicide squad, that scene with oliver and tommy was intense part of me thought he would reveal himself and tommy knew all along not what he became obviously but that he was alive but i changed my mind right away and it obviously hurt seeing him after he died in the present and i just knew that we would have a cliffhanger scene with thea and merlyn and i knew it was thea fighting those guys, it also made me sick when she called him Dad and shouldn't it be 3 years ago in the flashback because he spent the first 2 years on the island so that confused me

    ReplyDelete
  119. Awesome (and it sounds awful) episode. Don't understand why. But as for who killed her i have a theory. My theory is that Thea killed her as a initiation by her father!

    ReplyDelete
  120. He spent the first 2 years on the island but it has been 2 years already since he returned, thus making it 5 years ago.

    ReplyDelete
  121. i liked when oliver's partner i guess said that waller wanted tommy off the board not that i like that she wanted tommy dead it's just when he said off the board it reminded me that waller is the head of Checkmate so board, chess board

    ReplyDelete
  122. I agree. Sara was a far bigger threat to Oliciti, yet most fans liked Sara.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Is there any way possible Robert Daddy Queen can be alive and he killed Sara. In comics doesn't he live and has ulterior motives.

    ReplyDelete
  124. exactly!!!!!! Especially since the future is so depending on the writing.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Awesome episode again and such a great great show! Look forward to next week

    ReplyDelete
  126. I liked both the ladies this episode. They both reacted according to their characters. Laurel always reacts in a destructive way to a loss hence the revenge and justice thing. Where as Felicity is the most emotional person in this show so she reflected on the fact that this is the first major loss of Team Arrow and there is life beyond the cave. No one else in this show has the emotional openness to actually cry for this loss. I loved all the emotional scenes of Oliver, Felicity and Laurel. Digg was great too but the scene in the cemetery where he says he named his daughter Sara was meh.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Overall, I think this season is going very strong. If I had one wish it would be for them to slow things down occasionally--let the characters and the lines breathe. You can't rush major drama (or comedy) without it seeming stilted. Sometimes they push too hard to get through everything, when we need those downbeats. Then they could let things stand on their own without the heavy hand. I think they've done a better job this season than in any of the previous ones, but just a bit more breathing room would make a world of difference. Along that thought, regardless of how you feel about Oliver and Felicity as a couple, their current plot line has brought a lot of character development, especially for Oliver. They've created a nonthreatening, noncompetitive, but still challenging sounding board for him and the "I don't want to die down here" moment wouldn't have worked if Felicity hadn't already walked out into the light. I've really enjoyed it. Their little pausing scenes made a world of difference and helped show the impact of losing one of the team.

Okay, I lied i have a second wish: stop making Katie Cassidy do stupid--and therefore annoying--things. Who runs after a world-class assassin without checking if their gun is loaded? And how does she not tell her dad that Sara is dead? How does no one notice his absence at the funeral? I hope becoming canary makes her more rational, I feel like they've never found a successful role for her. Pushing and shoving her way onto the team and acting like they should do things her way, isn't going to get anyone to like her and I'd really like to like her. Maybe the canary thing will help--I've got my fingers crossed.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Yeah that's me, here another one, why didn't she close Sara's eyes? :p

    ReplyDelete
  129. Not telling him and therefore not letting him say goodbye and attend her funeral is cruel to me. If she couldn't tell him fair enough, but ask someone else to do it because he deserved to bury his daughter. Oliver was in full leader mode this episode he would have carried the burden.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Personally I think this episode had more breathing room and character moments than the premiere. But I agree fast action oriented episodes are good but I would like to see characters sitting down and quietly enjoy and bond with each other too once in a while. This week's Agents of SHIELD had one such moment which was great. That being said I have no complaints for this one.

I thought KC was so much better in this episode. The point was to show she is reckless and undisciplined in her anger and grief. Laurel always had destructive methods to deal with grief. I hope we will see her develop a stability and discipline once she starts training with wildcat. I am also upset about her not telling Lance about Sara. But in the end its Laurel's decision and family matter. What can others do? They kind of ditched lot of things from last season for Laurel and started new in season 3. I hope she grows to be likeable or at least tolerable without irritation.

    ReplyDelete
  131. But Sara had defected them at that point. So Oliver is not wrong. Sara ran away from LoA and they don't tolerate that kind of things. Currently Sara is still a member of the league. So they have no motivation to kill her. And we need more Relicity.. I like Rolicity scenes. Also we need more Digg/Felicity and Digg/Roy scenes. I want to see them all sitting at a table having a drink.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Juliana Carvalho16 October 2014 at 11:41

The last five minutes slayed me. Tommy losing hope in the flashbacks, Dig's daughter being named Sara, Laurel with the stuffed shark and Oliver saying that he doesn't want to die...

    ReplyDelete
  133. She didn't tell him not because she couldn't carry the burden of telling him, but because of his health, since he still has an hearth problem and she was scared of losing him too. Telling someone with a weak hearth that his daughter is dead can really a two for one promotion in the funeral home.

    ReplyDelete
  134. I agree, these two episodes have been better. Sometimes I feel like they put the actors on a clock to get out the scene, and they need just a couple of beats, a quiet reaction shot, etc--especially with the jokes, they step on the punchline more often than not. Pile on the action but give the actors enough time to deliver the line and to interact with each other.

    ReplyDelete
  135. They reset Laurel's character in Season 2 to take her away of Oliver Queen.. She now is on a diferent path and it's not linked with Oliver(You can see how the producers push the reset button on Sara's death scene against the same scene with Laurel/Tommy back on the Season 1 pilot).

Felicity, who is now the main love interest, has push herself away so that the writers could develop her outside of Oliver's world before getting together.

    Thea's journey with Malcolm?

Each woman has her own story, they're all independant. One could argue that Felicity on Season 1/2 was linked to Oliver, but that has been taken away this season.

Take notice that the lead is Oliver Queen and the rest are Supporting Characters. This is not an Ensemble Cast like LOST. This show sees the world throught Oliver's eyes. It's just the concept of the show. That doesn't mean their women aren't independant.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Oh please, that is just the excuse she grabbed onto because she didn't have the heart herself to do it. She cheated the man out of his chance to grieve, because she's going to have to tell him eventually, so now it won't just be Sara is dead, but Laurel lied, kept him from saying goodbye, let him continue to worry about Sara's well-being. It was a drama plot. But it was mean of Laurel and cowardly.

    ReplyDelete
  137. I agree. The show will elevate its standard if they give time for the characters to emote properly. Sometimes in the foundry scenes the dialogues are said so fast it all becomes a blur. Lets hope the episodes get better from now on. The problem is people are praising these break neck speed episodes. So most likely things would continue the same.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Bertha Strongham16 October 2014 at 14:01

Everyone has different tastes....its just life. One person may like one character over another, that is their prerogative. That can't be defined as bias, that is a matter of preference, which is the right of ANY viewer of the show. Legislating this is problematic to the extreme. Redefining it as bias, as though having particular preferences (or likes and dislike) is a problem, is in fact more so of a problem.

The issue for me, is less about the character and more about the actress playing the character. Like I said, I like KC in some things.....not so fond of her portrayal in other things.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Not a bad episode. Personally I prefered the premiere, this one had a few too many clunky moments, but it was OK.

    ReplyDelete
  140. I'm still sad they killed Sara and wish they hadn't, but overall I thought this episode was good and I think the past two episodes were a strong start for this season.
The only part of this episode that felt disjoint from the others was the flashbacks with Tommy but it was still good to see him again.
I'm still not a fan of Laurel but I did think she improved in this episode. The scene of her struggling to tell her father about Sara's death was heartbreaking, and I'm looking forward to see Quentin's reaction when he finds out what happened to Sara and that Laurel hid her death from him.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Sarah van Binnebeke16 October 2014 at 14:35

with thea's name constantly popping up during the episode i was wondering if thea was the one who killed sara but then there was the end scene coould she have done it?

i'm going to miss sara she was feisty

    ReplyDelete
  142. It's part and parcel of any 1-man show. Everything and everyone and every plot will revolve around Oliver in some way. They simply don't have time for alternative plots/characters that don't tie in some manner to the main.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Isnt this the episode they were filming during Comic Con. And the reason they werent at the Friday Arrow panel. And if i remember corectly didnt get any sleep since they said they been up for more then 48 hours during con interviews.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Juliana Carvalho16 October 2014 at 15:22

I don't get it either. A lot of people on the show already defined the relationship between Laurel and Oliver this season as friendship, professional, platonic, etc, still, people freak out because Oliver is consoling her when her sister just died?
And yes, the talks that really influenced Oliver was between him and Dig and him and Felicity. Well said.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Juliana Carvalho16 October 2014 at 15:27

I just see as a way to create unnecessary drama in the future... "why did you lie to me Laurel???".... Is not like Sara was in a risk free job. Lance is not stupid. Laurel should've told him.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Juliana Carvalho16 October 2014 at 15:38

Roy's reaction when he told Oliver that Thea wasn't coming back and Oliver just said "okay" was priceless. He was definitely expecting a punch.

    ReplyDelete
  147. ok for me sara death was underplayed. i felt like something was missing ,

    ReplyDelete
  148. I agree. Roy still doesn't know and he deserves to know

    ReplyDelete
  149. i liked the premiere more. Why? Not too much drama ...this episode had so much drama but it was a special episode so . My favorite scenes were:

-Ray/Felicity's scene . It was a very good one because Ray Palmer is really refreshing for the show and i think Felicity's interactions with him are the best.

-Laurel hitting that witness in the hospital...it was badass and it was the only time i felt that she may have a chance as the BC.

-Oliver/Diggle scene at the end when Oliver says he doesnt wanna die down there, was really nice and touching.

-Last scene with Thea and Merlyn was the best part ever!

-Oliver/Felicity scene was also nice ,especially the part she tells him that he doesnt have feelings...

-FIght scenes were exciting but again overshadowed by the emotional "stuff".
-I liked the flashback so much more than the previous episode.
    What i didnt like:

-Well seriously does Roy have lines? I guess thats what happens on a show with so many characters

    -We need more Diggle!

-I just hope they dont destroy the Olicity thing with too much drama because one of the main reasons i like them is because they didnt need drama to be liked.

"Less emotional scenes for Felicity and Oliver please, the actors don't sell it. Sorry" Well according to many people they do .

    - "Malcolms blue shirt, I know it's nitpicky but he's a bad guy, you
don't dress the Dark Archer in a blue shirt with cargo pants.....unless
their goal is to turn him into a semi-good guy. " im pretty sure thats the goal , they want and they always wanted to tell his side of the story, especially with season 1 and his wife's death.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Not too bad, but not what I expected. The only one I liked was Laurel, surprisingly, even if I wished she had told her dad but I get it. Katie did a really great job. And whoa at Thea at the end. So badass. Love it.

Still really upset they killed Sara. She was my favorite. :(

    ReplyDelete
  151. I couldn't help myself but crying when I saw Tommy. I'm so not over his death. I cried over Sara, and Laurel trying to make sense of the situation, and Oliver not allowing himself to grieve, and John naming his baby girl Sara. Yes I cried a lot during that episode, kudos to the entire team, it was a great and very emotional episode!

    ReplyDelete
  152. I'm willing to give Laurel the benefit of the doubt for her comments to Ollie given that she just lost her sister, but this whole 'knowing Oliver's secret identity' ain't gonna work if she keeps kicking him when he has a bad night.

    ReplyDelete
  153. I think it was better than the premiere, but most people have some good examples of points I didn't like. it sounds stpid, but what I disliked the most was "Thanks, Dad" at the very end.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Short of flying a banner over the city saying 'SARA IS DEAD', I don't think there was anything more they could have added. Sara's death wasn't underplayed. And the story of who killed her still isn't finished, either.

    ReplyDelete
  155. So. Good. Tommy a little underused in the flashbacks but nice to see him back. Other than that, loved it.

    ReplyDelete
  156. I agree. Just because Laurel is not a LoA member does not mean her story will be tied to Oliver. Imo Laurel is the only character in the series who really got developed outside Oliver in season 2. Even Sara in season 2B was bound to Oliver and Slade's revenge for him. Also she has Wild cat with whom she is going to interact this season.

    ReplyDelete
  157. I'm going to give Laurel a chance because I know what Katie Cassidy can do when she's not playing woe is me, prissy or bitchy. IF they do this right, Laurel can become a great character. I just need for Nyssa to come back. She can train Laurel on how NOT to whine and kick ass.

    ReplyDelete
  158. I don't think we will be seeing Laurel and Oliver again. Guy cheated on her with her sister and then had a relationship with her 6 years later.

    ReplyDelete
  159. The producers call it that way so...

    ReplyDelete
  160. You do know that they are divorced and separated for good right?

    ReplyDelete
  161. Bertha Strongham17 October 2014 at 00:09

But they still get together.....that was the point.

    ReplyDelete
  162. I am not sure what are you talking about. Did you read the comics? Did you see Thea, Diggle, Moira etc in them? Over 50% of stuff is different in show. Would you like her to go back to the boyfriend who cheated her with her sister???

    ReplyDelete
  163. Bertha Strongham17 October 2014 at 01:31

I have no idea what you are talking about. What exactly is the issue here.......

I stand by my point. In the comic and the show, BC and Arrow are destiny. Regardless of your point on the divorce. She leaves him, but they still get together.

If you disagree feel free to not respond!

    ReplyDelete
  164. SHIELDNCISArrowfan17 October 2014 at 01:50

how could Laurel not check the gun and how did she get inside QC no way anyone would let carry a weapon inside........security must be awful

    ReplyDelete
  165. But they do not get together, you should read the comics again. The issue is that teenage girls and boys like you seem to think that it is ok in the 21st century for a female character to be 'destiny' for a guy who cheated and mistreated her.

    ReplyDelete
  166. lol i know they couldnt have done more but this ep surely missed something from the premiere.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Bertha Strongham17 October 2014 at 03:00

I feel like we are not talking about the same thing. I am totally confused by your posts. They make no sense. You seem to be in a mood to argue....when in fact there is no argument....

    Good luck!

    ReplyDelete
  168. I'm still surprised he didn't give him one.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Emotionally traumatized over her sisters death. Really? This is what you look for in scenes like this.

    ReplyDelete
  170. She'll get Grant to train her I doubt Nyssa will be involved much. Not that I wouldn't mind it as if she is, it would move up the timeframe, and justify it if Laurel becomes a better hand to hand combat specialist than Oliver like in the comics.

    ReplyDelete
  171. He will. I believe the episode Guilt (either the 4 or 6) will focus on his actions in Seeing Red and how he killed a guy and his coming to terms with it.

    ReplyDelete
  172. I think you misunderstand what Bertha was saying. She said in comics GA and BC were a strong couple with entwined destinies even though they have a break up at the end. But in Arrow the show already did a GA/BC pairing with Oliver/Sara and got that out of the way. So now they have the creative freedom to never go there with Oliver and Laurel's version of BC and pair Oliver with some other character.

She is in no way saying Oliver/Laurel should be together because of comics.

    ReplyDelete
  173. I understand what you mean, but I didn't connect or feel completely that emotion. you did and that's really fine and great

I'v always disliked Laurel and for season 3, I was hoping not and that would explain why those little things annoyed me so much(moving body, closing eyes, being reckless multiple times even if I can understand ..).

The writers knew that a lot of fans where disliking her or at least were skeptical.

I mean I know a lot of tv shows and other episodes of arrow going with plot holes but in my opinion it doesn't bother so much when you like a character

My point is that I was expecting a lot from her since the premiere and much more since her sister's death.

Also I think I am not the only one noticing such details

    ReplyDelete
  174. Over all a great episode, even Laurel was more tolerable this time. The weakest link in this was Ray. Sorry I just don't like or trust this guy. First he's a sleazy slime ball then softens and becomes almost a gentlemen. Those guys are the ones that irks me the most because they show just how far they are willing to go to get in the girls pants (or skirts in Felicity's case). I can just see it now, fist he takes QC from Oliver, then wins Felicity over job wise then moves in for a more personal win with her. I hope Oliver works through his issues quick enough so that he can prevent Ray from stilling his girl. Other wise I'm going to be pissed.

    ReplyDelete
  175. I agree that writers are not able to write more than 3 characters at a time in the foundry scenes. Laurel got a good part this episode then Digg had nothing to do with action. Roy never does anything. I personally think they need specific duties for each character in the foundry. This was the case when Sara became a fixture in the foundry last season too. Diggle and Felicity was sidelined. They need to find a balance there.

    ReplyDelete
  176. I'm hoping that Felicity working for Ray has to do with being a mole for Oliver so that one day he can take over his family's company again so that Oliver can have something to do out side so that him and her can have something together. I mean just being the Arrow makes him very reserved and brooding but maybe by getting the company back he can be Oliver Queen too and therefore lighten up some. Plus if he lightens up, he'll show more emotion and therefore him and Felicity will have a chance at real relationship. I do agree that they both deserve more then him hiding out in the Lair, and that's pretty much what he's doing now.

    ReplyDelete
  177. I believed Oliver and Roy would handle the action based on skills, Felicity on gathering information and Diggle on tactics... The problem is with the dialoge(If Laurel/Felicity/Oliver are the center like 3x02, then Roy and Diggle had nothing to do... And the same will happen on Roy's episode, Laurel and Diggle will be the onesto take the hit).

    ReplyDelete
  178. Okay but those things having nothing to do with Laurel being poorly written or not a very good character. They're not even really plot holes it's more just her using her car to move the body, and to stuck in grief to close her eyes. That and the writers clearly wanted Oliver to do so. I don't like Laurel that much but when was it ever hinted that she'd play a big role at all in the premiere? This episode sure and I felt that Cassidy was actually pretty good in delivering Laurel's grief and despair and I'm pumped to see her as Black Canary because she pulls off bad-ass well and is a far better actor than Caity Loitz (she was great in Supernatural and the one good thing in Melrose Place, Arrow not so much but honestly until this episode Laurel's writing has been awful). Again they're not really details more just nitpicking of the episode.

  179. Bertha Strongham17 October 2014 at 23:02

I am with you on this! KC was pretty good this epi. She is not a fave character of mine on this show, but I appreciated her acting chops for this epi. Definitely upped her game.

    ReplyDelete
  180. Bertha Strongham17 October 2014 at 23:04

Totally agreed. More balance is needed. I would even say more attention needs to be paid to the side stories, so the show is more rounded.

However, I felt that the grieving of Sara took over so I did not think it was a bad thing for the side characters to not have much to say. For this epi alone though.

    ReplyDelete
  181. Bertha Strongham17 October 2014 at 23:12

What can I say, you get me. Totally! Exactly my point!!

As you know, I am currently liking Felice and Oliver undercover pairing. Now that the Atom is on the scene aka Ray Palmer and seemingly interested in Felicity.....this may all change. :)

    Flove Arrow!

Ugh, I think I would stop watching if Laurel and Oliver got back together. I am in agreement with your analysis. Oliver first needs to get his 2 lives together and then focus on relationship drama.

Mind you I would not be opposed to him getting his stuff together with Felicity! (I tease)

Literally laughed out loud with this comment!

Hmmm....I think Merlyn could use a bit of redemption - after all his daughter is his enemies sister. I am in agreement that they can't make him fully good, as he creates the tension. He will be an ally to run Ra's al Ghul out of town, but once that fight is over he needs to go back to being a baddie.

  185. You know what I noticed about that scene in the graveyard? While Oliver was consoling Laurel, his mind was elsewhere and you could see it because he was looking at Felicity, sort of like he wanted to be consoling her too :(

  186. I was gutted. Although I feel like they still could have done more (the tommy flashback and all the tea bits really didn't belong here I felt), it still devastated me to watch. Sarah really was one of my favorite TV characters from last season, I am really personally sad that they killed her off. I won't go over it again how much I hate this decision, but maybe because I feel so strongly about it, the episode really did a number on me. I was even crying at the end. Poor Sara.

  187. That's because her grief was subtle and internalised this episode which was a good call. KC tends to go over board in her crying and woe is me scenes. This episode gave me hope that this season I might enjoy the whole show.

  188. Personally I think they need to slow the episodes a little bit (Not up to the AoS level) and spend a little bit more time in foundry scenes. We need to see these people act as a team and bounce of each other exchanging ideas and tactics during missions.

I have not much complaints about this episode. Every character had something to do. That's why I loved this episode so much. It felt like an ensemble episode after a long time. Season 2 really struggled to give characters apart from Oliver and Laurel a season long arc. This season already sounds much better.

  189. This is a television show. Anything can happen especially if the show runs more than 6 seasons. Ray Palmer and Felicity has chemistry but I am a bit bothered by his stalkerish tendencies.

I like Oliver/Felicity as of now. I wouldn't mind if they give up on this pairing later and put the two characters with someone else. But I hope they legitimately bring them together at least for a portion of a season. Because otherwise the date and eventual blow up would be just fan wanking.

The thing that would really put me off Arrow would be if they go Laurel/Oliver romantic route again. That relationship is so dysfunctional and poisonous. I wouldn't have minded if these two were characters of TVD or OUaT. But this Arrow, a superhero show and Laurel is destined to be BC in this universe. And for me a female superhero going back to a man who cheated on her with her sister is just urgh. That's why I lost all respect for Laurel in season 1. BC should be a role model to all young girls out there. So I sincerely hope they never go there again and show a strong friendship between Oliver and Laurel which is much better than romance for these two.

  190. The poor man was so messed up this episode. By the time graveyard scene rolled up he was grieving for his fallen friend, his sister is god knows where, Laurel is breaking up in his arms and the woman he loves is slowly drifting away from him. What I got from that scene was complete devastation. I just wanted to give him a hug. At least he realized he needs more from life.

  191. Also, the LoA didn't try to kill Sara, just bring her back. Nyssa tried to kill Sara's family, to make her come back. But when Sara tried to kill herself, Nyssa relented and freed her.

Its hard to really kinda rate this episode like all the others, given that they were grieving Sara. So I am gonna give them a pass on stuff.

I was kinda miffed that Oliver did not try to talk with Felicity about what happened between them last epi. It was kinda weird, given that the guy was faced with mortality through the death of his friend......

I know, me too! I would hate if Laurel and Oliver got together again. Like seriously hate.

The whole dysfunctional stuff on how Oliver treated the Lance sisters....look, stuff happens in life, and sometimes one falls for two women of the same family....(**shrugs shoulders**)...its not a reason that I would not support them as a couple....

I just think Laurel and Oliver equals snooze ville. Seriously, they are boring together, there is no chemistry between them. That's why I was soo happy that the powers that be gave themselves an out on the BC storyline. In my books it looks like they are not going to put them together.

  194. It's not just about falling for two woman of same family. It's the way Oliver went about it. Oliver has disrespected Laurel at the worst way possible. Due to their struggle with Laurel/Oliver pairing in season 1 they retconned a lot of character history in season 2. Oliver we saw in season 1 regretted terribly about his fling with Sara. But come season 2 Oliver/Sara became a meaningful relationship which undermined anything shared between Oliver and Laurel. So going back to this pairing will completely take me out of the show.

Regarding Laurel, she has a long way to go to be an inspiring role model and super hero. We still have no idea what actually goes in her head. I am putting all the responsibility on Wildcat's beautiful toned shoulders *sigh* (sorry, not sorry) to make me understand Laurel and make her relatable to me. Oliver was unlikable in season 1 too. But with interactions with Diggle and Felicity we came to understand his views and like him. So lets hope Wildcat can smooth those edges of Laurel and give her some discipline. As of now she is just a recovering raging alcoholic. If the writers are not able to turn audience's views on Laurel now, they will never be able to do so.

As you know, I am not a KC as BC fan. So all that you have said is cosigned!

JR Ramierez as Wildcat, seriously HAWT! I wish they would also find something in the show for his Power colleague Omari Hardwick......he is delicious - seriously! That is an Arrow epi I would have on loop and repeat!
