    Only 0.2 for Legends :-(

  4. The only time Sean Benn doesn't get killed, the show gets cancelled.

and btw why final numbers for ABC are available faster than the ones for other networks?

  6. Yeah Nashville :)

  7. Seems your not the only one asking that question http://deadline.com/2014/10/abc-nielsen-fast-national-ratings-low-844522/

  8. I'm so happy to see The Middle cracking 2s!
And woah Nashville! Didn't think it would outgrow its premiere!

  11. Ha! XD

I wanted to like the show since I'm a huge espionage fan and Sean Bean fan, but even I tuned out after a few episodes.

  12. You're welcome!

  13. They aren't. I just enter them in alphabetical order :)

  14. huh, still I'm not smarter in any way.

I get the likelyhood of ABC viewers consuming more content on mobile devices but still this CAN'T be an ABC exclusice phenomenon (if it is ABC has a potential goldmine on its hands, web content is cheap to produce)

I can't even speculate as there isn't really anyone profiting from this.

  15. Legends is headed for cancelation, too bad. I hope they don't end in a cliffhanger next week.

  16. It looks this way,
not too sure about Franklin & Bash, the third reboot didn't seem to work well for them either

  17. And yet I'm far from surprised.

The show was promoted as a dark and gritty spy drama. We've had a lot of these out there, on cable there's a clear trend: the more unique your concept the better you do. Legends isn't too unique in that aspect.

Just seen the whole stuf now also on TVBTN :-)

  19. Happy about Laura adjusting up. Sad about RBS.

  20. It's interesting that you say uniqueness gets more viewers. I think it has to be unique yes, but only to a point. NCIS is a powerhouse show but based on very used story of procedurals.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Exactly.

There is a sweet spot between original and unique material and material just different enough to be comfortable to most viewers. Many people tend to gravitate towards the familiar and reject radically original programming.

    ReplyDelete
  22. but the reason NCIS is doing so well is because it`s a light procedural, you don't need to have any knowledge about previous episodes to enjoy it while zapping.

Network TV is reyling heavily on casual viewers that will eventually stick with easy to get into procedurals.

Cable on the other hand is drawing it's numbers from fixed fanbases, I doubt that a show like Legends (wich could easily air on any given network) is going to perform well on cable given its network-ish vibe

  23. Even the powers that be at ABC are scratching their heads wondering how and why..

    ReplyDelete
  24. this has to be a technical issue or miscommunication related,

now IF Agents of Shield suddenly outperformed everything else I would suspect there being some market manipulation but this is just.....the weirdest definition of weird

  25. I think my favorite Chicago PD lost some viewers to the premiere of Stalker, and I hope it bounces back next week. As much as I like Maggy Q back on my TV, I already like most of CPD's character's and I am looking forward to next week's episodes whereas Stalker turned out a bit weak.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I think so too, I think CPD lost some viewers because of The premiere of Stalker. I hope it goes up in ratings because I love this show so much and next week is exciting of CPD.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Chicago PD is really good, I am also excited about next week. I think the rating last Wednesday wasn't that bad for NBC but wish the show to succeed more and get recognition it deserves. It is way better than Chicago Fire and it is not really a procedural as the characters are always in the front and the case more in the background.

    ReplyDelete
  28. It is the best show. On Wednesday I use to be all about Criminal Minds and SVU, but since CPD aired last season. That is pretty much the only show I care about. I do agree with you it is way better than fire. I only watched fire for the CPD characters. Can't wait, Halstead. Halstead and Lindsay. All of them
