ABC has handed out a script commitment to drama Protect & Survive, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The ensemble drama centers on the last LAPD precinct fighting to hang on in Los Angeles after a massive disaster changed life as we know it.
Person of Interest's David Slack will pen the script and executive produce alongside Rhimes and Beers via the duo's overall deal with ABC Studios. (Shondaland inked a new four-year overall deal with the studio behind Grey's Anatomy, Scandal and How to Get Away With Murder in May.)

Ooh, I was against another cop show but a cop show set after a disaster? It's a strong possibility I'd watch.

ReplyDeleteDavid Slack's a legend in the POI Circle: Prisoner's Dilemma, Zero Day, /, and Deus Ex Machina (to name a few). Glad he's the first among their spectacular band of writers to breakout.
