    This show is starting to tell its story like a soap opera. Too many characters, too many back stories, and drama for the sake of drama. Season 1 and 2 had some excellent writing. This season is a writing mess! We do not need another soap opera on night time TV.

    Surprised to see all the rave reviews for the last two episodes. To me they were a disruption and killed the forward momentum of the main story. And it happened because Common wants out so he can devote more time to his music. If he doesn't want to be on the show, fine but don't take a big long detour away from the main story just because someone wants to leave the show.

    Say what you want about there being "too many characters" but overall this is still the Durant & Bohannon Show and the new characters they've added these last 2 seasons have been a lot more dimensional and interesting than some in the past few seasons and have at least boosted the stories of Shawn and the Swede(well somewhat for him) who I somehow feel aren't going anywhere either

    Per previous characters: Mickey was getting pointless so they were right to off him, the reverend was going nowhere in season 1 and just went down completely in season 2, same with Joseph. I hope they get rid of Ruth and Eva next but who kinows.

    Didn't see that coming - I held out Hope ..... That either Eva or Bohannan would pull him outta his Bear Killer mindset. . . . But alas no. Sad to see Elam go .....
