So what did you think of the Sleepy Hollow premiere? I found most of it very intriguing and well-paced. Glad it started off with such a bang.

  1. Loved this season opener, but my favorite part was Jenny kicking Hessian butt and then Ichabod's technical difficulties.

  2. I loved the whole episode way too many great moments, I especially loved Jenny kicking Hessian butt, and the whole ambulance part was hilarious. The Abbie and Ichabod scene in purgatory was amazing too when she beheads fake crane but she knew he said her nickname wrong. I love Ichabod and Abbie's friendship they so close it's great and I really hope it stays that way, it would be nice to have a show on television that didn't get mixed up in relationship drama.

  3. I gave the Jenny escape/rescue scene my vote as well.

  4. They were all pretty amazing but I loved the scene where Henry revealed to them that they were still in purgatory.

  5. The Knight was gorgeous. But Jenny kicking Hessian butt as my favorite scene.

  6. I was so worried I'd hate this but I loved it too.

  7. There were so many favorites i had! But i had to vote for Abbie talks through Ichabod through the mirror. I really felt how strong their bond was, and how he had to reassure her that she was important, that they're both witnesses, and he would come back. "Hold fast Abigail Mills" I loved that. Then he came back and Jenny had no clue what happened. Hahaha Yeah that was definitely my favorite.

The second would be him going back to Purgatory, and i loved that she beheaded the fake Ichabod. Third, definitely was him trying to leave a farewell to Abbie and none of it recorded. LOL

  8. Me too! Their embrace and dialog was just so touching - by far my fave. . . . . . Although the entire ep was pretty amazing !

Am so glad to have our Two Witnesses back and t'gether in the real world ! I Have Missed Them !!!

Now if Monday would just hurry up .......
    : )

  9. I've missed them too!! It was sooo refreshing to see a great premiere after the blah series premiere of Gotham (I'm the minority on that one, moving on). Once it really got into the episode, i was really hyped. God they sizzle don't they?? Nicole is just so pretty, I loved everything. It also made sense that Irving wasn't in it. I'm excited for nest week. And i think you were. lol I have to watch again.

  10. Their parting words to each other when he promised to come back for her were just so lovely. As was their hug when they were reunited at last. The way they just clung to each other so tightly...it was genuinely sweet and touching.
Agreed on the farewell message-that and the thing with the ambulance made me laugh. I loved when Jenny gave Crane a "WTF?" look when he drove the ambulance in and he just kind of shrugged like, "I dunno, just go with it." LOL. I'd be cool with seeing more interaction between those two as well-seems Crane clicks well with both Mills sisters!

  11. Nicole is gorgeous. I'm looking forward to Irving returning, too, it'll be great to see what he's been up to while Abbie and Crane are running around and whatnot. Slowly getting the full gang back together again episode by episode-I can't wait to see how it all unfolds.

  12. That knight coming out at the end with the fire around him was super cool and creepy all at the same time. Henry and Moloch ain't messing around, people.

  13. how tall is the actor that portrays headless he looks like he's freaking 7 feet tall lol

  14. lol - after reading all the posts I guess I am the only person who "saw" Walter Bishop ! : )
Maybe it's because I love Finge so much..... And was super happy to see John Noble again...... Even if he is WAR!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Well he's probably just sitting behind bars. Hahahahaha i hope not though. : )

  16. You know i was going to stay quiet about this. But since you brought it up, (and since i'm a ichabbie shipper) i have to say that specific hug in purgatory, when Ichabod goes back, i was DISAPPOINTED!!! Here's why.....I waited ALL summer for that, thinking it was going to be them, and he found a way, and she was so happy/scared and hung on to him for dear life. And he embraced her touch and hugged her back, and it would've been an amazing, omg my friend/partner came for me moment. But nooooooooooo. It had to be some supernatural copy that wasn't him, then the fake one, knocks out the real one, then Abbie kills the fake one, but when she reunites with the real one, they don't repeat the EPIC HUG THAT I WAITED FOR, they Fist bumped with the explosion!!! (which was great btw) WHAT?!?! Ughhh, that broke my heart.

  17. All the hugging. And The torture in Crane's voice when he screamed "He killed my wife!" and him saying he'd been punk'd. And his disdain for Franklin. And...OK pretty much just the whole freakin episode.

  18. Jenny is rapidly becoming my favorite character mostly because she can kick butt so well.

  19. I am glad that you ended up loving it. I was a little worried too since it was my most anticipated show, so I was glad when it exceeded my expectations. Here's to a great season 2.

  20. Agreed 1,000%. It would be out-of-character for Ichabod to get with Abbie, but even more so I am tired of partners always having to be romantic. This is a perfect way to show how males and females can be partners and friends without having to screw each other.

  21. All scenes with Henry were powerful to me. I am so glad they found a way to keep him relevant to the storyline.

  22. I think the Knight is going to be even cooler than Headless. That's saying a lot because Headless coming out with assault guns was one of my favorite moments of last season.

  23. She was my favorite last year, I know many didn't like her but I pretty much loved her from the beginning. The last few episodes of S1 were torture, people kept predicating her death. So glad they made her a series regular in S2

  24. I love how creepy Moloch is too. I hope he stays kind of shadowy though because he is far more terrifying that way to me.

  25. Also agreed 1000% some of the best relationships are the ones that stay platonic.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Ha! I have a feeling if "whole freaking episode" had been an option, many people would have chosen it.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I loved her too, especially once she and Abbie kept bickering all the time. I am a sucker for kick butt women so she rocks my world. I too worried about her last year and I have a feeling I will continue worrying about her this year, but for now I am just excited that she's going to have more screentime.

  28. No i loved fringe and john noble so i still see walter bishop when i see him on sleepy hollow dispite the fantastic job he has down with the character

  29. I've always liked Jenny as it was-I like how she just took no prisoners and was blunt and honest...yet still have some good vulnerable moments as well. Seeing her interaction with Abbie just made me love her even more-I have a sister as well and there were times I could relate very well to the general tension and bickering and whatnot between them as a result. I was very happy to hear they made her a series regular, and I look forward to what other storylines they have planned with her this season.

  30. Yeah, Ichabod's devotion to his wife is one of the best things about him. So I'd hate for the show to break them up just for a possible Crane/Abbie pairing someday-it'd just be too cliché. I don't doubt Ichabod and Katrina will have some ups and downs in their relationship as they explore the modern world together and deal with Henry and the Horseman and whatnot, of course, but it'd be neat to see them working through that stuff together and coming out of it stronger. I think it'd have to take something REALLY drastic for Ichabod to ever consider leaving Katrina, or it'd be a long, long time before he could consider another relationship if she were to die or something.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Agreed. Just the dark shadow with the outline of the horns is more than enough to send chills through me.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I love how they can have a headless man blasting gunfire or waving a sword and make it look totally natural and believable. The special effects department for this show deserves some kudos.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I hope not, too. From the spoilers I'd heard throughout the summer it sounds like he was keeping busy while imprisoned, so I look forward to seeing what he comes up with to get himself out of his particular situation.

    ReplyDelete
  34. YEs!!!! YES!!! If i woke up 250 after I died damn skippy I am going to take advantage of the better weaponry! Bwahahaha

    ReplyDelete
  35. My fear stemmed from really hating the season finale.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Probably killing rats for food. Drinking his urin to stay hydrated. LOL j/k (kinda) hahaha. No seriously, i'm looking forward to it, just as long as he didn't escape. Ohh Ohhh but you know what i'm really looking forward to?? Oliver visiting him for the first time after he left him!! I think that's going to be VERY fun! = )

    ReplyDelete
  37. omg i'm embarrassed to say, i was off that last comment, Idk who W.B. is, i don't watch Fringe. LOL my bad.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Guess it falls under the Moloch's mirror talk, but the part when Ichabod promises Abbie he won't leave her behind. Abbie clearly isn't used to having someone look out for her as well as not having to fight her battles alone, and WoC characters hardly receive that treatment either.

Even if it's not viewed as a romantic, their relationship is beyond just platonic. Ichabod cares so much for Abbie.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Absolutely agree. The show looks amazing considering how many visual effects are needed. The villains in this show are super cool and I really like that.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Absolutely! I love how they didn't have the supernatural bound to only the weapons of their time. I love Buffy but I never understood why the vampires typically attacked her with maces and swords and the like when a shotgun or grenade would have done the trick nicely.

    ReplyDelete
  41. A TV couple that are married and stay together and who did not start as platonic partners when the series began? They are practically extinct on TV dramas these days. I would love to see Ichabod and Katrina have more than 60 seconds of screentime together so they can explore the world together. I think it would be hilarious if Ichabod becomes the teacher now that Abbie has trained him so well.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I like how they approach the apocalypse as a team instead of having inane contrived drama to keep them bickering with each other. That gets old fast (cough Supernatural cough) so it is refreshing to see the leads of a genre show actually get along and try to work the problem out togethr.
