  2. Nope. Red is definitively gone and it's perfect for me. All the colors are welcome now :) After the last season finale I can't help but looking for the White Dress title though...

  3. What i had meant to say was i keep expecting to see red in the titles. I'm happy that part is over,it went on for far to long! We might see a white dress but with Heller you just never know?

  4. They used Pink a few time back in the red days too.

Red John is definitely gone and it was a great choice and a satisfying finale, according to me.
But it would be a good thing if the writers will give us some other answers about Red John, whatever they want (Bruno Heller promised it, but we're still waiting). I think that the best way to do it is a flashback episode about Red John's childwood, adolescence and some little moments of his recent past (Jane's family murder, Kristina Frye kidnapping and the seven suspects "premonition", for example). I don't expect this episode, but I would love it, if they will do it.
Why I'm talking about this stuff? Because if this episode will be a fact, the perfect color for the title would be "pink": Red John is a faded memory now, and pink is a pale red color.
Is it exactly what they dit with this fourth episode? Or was "pink" used as a stand-alone color rather than a shadow of red? I would say that the second option is the right one, but never say never! :D

Why on earth? McAllister did Red John's voice; so it was McAllister who saved Jane and recited The Tyger, but he wasn't Red John? This is just a little prove, but there are a lot of fact that proves that McAllister was Red John. Just watch the episodes to realize it.

  8. They never did show why the "ghoulish" CSI guy was eliminated, did they? I wondered about that....

  9. yes, they did. They did in 6x08, when Jane talk to Red John. Patrick said: "Faking your own death was easy. Brett Partridge was Blake association. His job gave him access to the primary D.N.A. database. He switched your D.N.A. records with a body that you had on ice."

So, that's what happened: Brett Partridge was a member of the Blake Association, but he didn't know who was Red John, because he wasn't one of his friends. He was an unwitting accomplice. He switched McAllister DNA but he didn't know that that was a gift to Red John.
But if he had been alive, he would have find out it; or, at least, he could have let Patrick find out it.
So McAllister ask Partridge the DNA switch via Blake Association and then he killed him, to eliminate a witness. That's the deal.

  10. Thank you. I missed that. I guess I just didn't really know his name to be able to catch that! I do remember that conversation with McAllister, but didn't connect Brett's name with his face. I came late to watching The Mentalist, so I was binge watching the seasons and didn't know all the characters by name, other than the main ensemble group. Thanks!

  11. you're welcome! It's a pleasure to clarify something to the new fans, I'm not one of those idiots who say "you're not a real fan" just because a person didn't pay too much time or attention to a tv show.
If you have other doubts, feel free to ask! ;)
