Medium star David Cubitt, who played Detective Lee Scanlon on the CBS procedural, has landed a meaty guest role in The CW comic-book drama's third season as Mark Shaw, who becomes Manhunter, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Cubitt is slated to appear in the third episode.

ReplyDeleteI hope so too. At least previous count got a story arc. Kate Spencer was really wasted. I hope this time around these guys stick around and recur multiple seasons.
ReplyDeleteI am getting a bit wary of the amount of guest stars this season. I hope it doesn't get crowded and season 2 mistakes get repeated.
DR said in episode 3 they are travelling somewhere. So at least Diggle is Corto Maltese this episode where he will meet Mark Shaw. Also Deadshot might be there as they said he worked out of Corto Maltese. Episode 3 is also Thea flash back episode. So is it possible Malcolm and Thea are hiding out there??? This is also the episode where Laurel/Felicity fun scene happens. So maybe boys go for the trip to Corto Maltese leaving Felicity in Starling which gives her oppurtunity to interact with Laurel.

Do we know if he will become Manhunter on the show? I only read that he has connection to Diggle in 3rd episode. This show takes so many turns its confusing sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI don't think he will have a suit. May be he will. But he surely will have code name Manhunter like deadshot, bronze tiger had in SS. Even Lyla had code name Harbinger in the SS episode. So Mark Shaw's code name will be Manhunter during whatever mission they have in Corto Maltese.

I am not even sure since this show loves their easter eggs. They might just use his name like they did with Kate Spencer.
ReplyDeleteBut Kate Spencer was not introduced with this fanfare. There was not even an article. Since this casting is being declared in media he will be Manhunter or turn into Manhunter during the course of the show.
ReplyDeleteIts the wording thats bugging me. They just make a reference to Mark Shaw taking over the mantle of Manhunter in comics. So i keep thinking if they will make him in the show also. I am just gonna wait till they show it on TV.

I agree. So many spoilers. So many new guest stars with important roles. So many different different story thread. The season has not even started and it already feels crowded. I hope they do justice to all our regular characters.
ReplyDeleteI really want to scream at them its enough! But then i want them to freaking tell me if Katana or Maseo will be showing up in Starling. Because the things what Karl Yune has been tweeting to Emily and Caity makes me think Maseo will come to Staling.

I still think the HongKong sets are located at the same place Starling sets are there. I hoped Oliver would sleep with Katana in HongKong only after Maseo died. If he is in present time it means Oliver banged a married woman. God NO!!!
ReplyDeleteKarl Yune seems very engaging with the fans, i haven't heard much of Devon yet. Just the fact that Stephen mentioned he did a scene with her. I want to know so badly how they gonna work with Katana.

Karl Yune seems to be a fun person. He already has great working relationship with the cast. Lovely. I liked him in real steel even though he didn't have too much dialogues. The thing about the flash backs in HongKong is Asian people are so good in martial arts. It will give a new flavor to the show. But Katana is still a mystery.
