I don't wanna be that guy but that wouldn't make no sense whatsoever. Amazons in DC have lived in isolation on Themyscira with no men or outside interaction for thousands of years. Plus she's Diana not Donna. Unless you meant Donna Prince/Wondergirl. She'll be human given Arrow wanting to try to be more realistic.

I wikipedia-ed Donna Troy and she is listed as the first Wonder girl, Diana's sister.

ReplyDeleteOh God, not everything is a secret tie in, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. If anything, I'd bet on Felicity's dad to be some DC character (but not a really big one).
ReplyDeleteI knew someone would mention Donna Troy. I think her mom is just a normal person like Laurel/Sara's mom. Her father though could be someone known in the DC universe. It's her father that they will keep a mystery until near the end of the season. Her mom was a cocktail waitress. Also if she is Donna Troy it would suggest mythological characters which this show is not ready for.
ReplyDeleteLaurel/Sara's mom is Dinah Lance (presumably Dinah Drake Lance)...original/current Black Canary...she's not a vigilante or meta on the show but she's definitely a DC character.
ReplyDeleteOr do ypu mean that Felicity's mom might have a DC character name but just be a "normal" version of the character, like Kate Spencer was The DA but never became Manhunter?

ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who wants Felicity's mother to be a normal human being with her own faults? Not every episode and storyline needs surprise reveals. They can make her dad some one from DC if they want.

I think the reason is that the EP always cover Felicity's parents in mystery. They could have revealed her whole name, but all we got was a first name.
ReplyDeleteThe surname could be different from Felicity's, since her mom could have remarried. But they are just giving little crumbs regarding her parents. We gotten info about every other character that they decide to include in season 3 immediately . With Felicity's mom they waited several weeks to reveal the first name. So crazy theories and conspiracies regarding Felicity's parents will continue.
Which is why, no matter what they do, it's probably going to be a bit of a let down. They dragged it out, gave cryptic hints that had fandom speculating that Felicity was Ivo, Slade, Robert Queen, Tockman, and Ra's daughter.

ReplyDeleteThis kind of thing annoys me. Why such secrecy over a name unless the name is really important. Its the same with the Black Canary thing. Why not come out and say whether Laurel will become BC or not. It can avoid so many fandom conflicts and speculation.
ReplyDeleteEven if Felicity's mom is a non DC character they can make her be a part of any story line. She can be connected to a villain or she may be keeping secrets about Felicity's father who can be a villain or a hero or an Argus agent.
ReplyDeleteThe possibilities are endless. But I want her mother to be normal person because it wouldn't make sense Felicity not knowing about her mother's secret identity after living with her so long.
As I've said before, I hope Felicity had a fairly normal life, without some horrible tragedies befalling her (deadbeat dad notwithstanding) and without some connection to Ivo, Ra's, Slade, Tockman, Batgirl or any other DC character. Everyone on this show has some dark and/or terrible past. Why not have ONE normal person? Plus, the coincidences of everyone being related or connected in some way are just soapy and annoying.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Being normal in a setting like this has an attraction on its own. I wouldn't mind her father if and when he comes to the show will be a villain or a dc character or a normal person. But mom no, please make her normal. If they connect Felicity's story line any way with Oliver's past I will riot.
