SYFY PREMIERES THE FIRST TEASER FOR ITS NEW ZOMBIE SERIES Z NATION DURING THE PREMIERE OF SHARKNADO 2

Zombie fans take note: the first trailer for Syfy's new series Z Nation will air during the premiere of Sharknado 2: The Second One on Wednesday, July 30, at 9/8c. Get your first glimpse of the new 13-episode series starring Harold Perrineau (Lost, Oz), Tom Everett Scott (Beauty and the Beast, Southland), DJ Qualls (Road Trip, Supernatural), that will air this fall.

Z Nation, produced by The Asylum (Sharknado), is an action-horror series about the epic struggle to save humanity after a zombie apocalypse. The cast also includes Michael Welch (The Twilight trilogy), Kellita Smith (The Bernie Mac Show), Anastasia Baranova (The Darkness II), Russel Hodgkingson (Big Fish) and Keith Allan (Rise of the Zombies).

Z Nation starts three years after the zombie virus has gutted the country, when a team of everyday heroes must transport the only known survivor of the plague from New York to California, where the last functioning viral lab waits for his blood. Although the antibodies he carries are the world’s last, best hope for a vaccine, he hides a dark secret that threatens them all. With humankind’s survival at stake, the ragtag band embarks on a journey of survival across three thousand miles of rusted-out post-apocalyptic America.

Karl Schaefer (Eerie Indiana, Eureka, The Dead Zone) serves as executive producer and showrunner.

  6. I'll wait until it's online (I don't miss the days of being forced to sit through shows you didn't want to watch in hopes of catching promos during commercial breaks. LOL)
