Giancarlo Esposito is set to reprise his role as Sidney Glass, otherwise known as the Magic Mirror, in the Season 4 premiere, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

Details on the return of the intrepid Storybrooke reporter are being kept under wraps, though the last time viewers saw anything of Sidney Glass, it was on the nameplate of a locked door in the deep recesses of Storybrooke hospital.

  3. I'm glad hes back, hopefully Cinderella will return, she has been MIA for way longer.

  4. Now all we need is Eion Bailey back!

  5. Revolution Reunion. 😢😢
But aren't we have way too much characters now? I wonder how they'll all fit.

  6. They won't be in every episode, and they won't all be in at the same time.

  7. Good news! Was sad when they abandoned his story after the season 1 thing. So could've Elizabeth Mitchell's character wished from Sydney to transfer her powers? I mean he was a Giny back in the EF.

They can cast his Revolution son as Aladin ;-)

  8. Lol. J.D is a series regular on a CW show now.

  9. Definitely a lot of characters in Season 4. I hope they hold off on introducing Knave until a few episodes in. It might be overwhelming in the premier, especially considering that they're hoping to gain new viewers this season.

  10. OMG yes! Maybe Cinderella can br back to :D
And the one I want to see most - Jefferson (I know it probably won't happen, but still)

  12. Glad to see Giancarlo back. Both he and Elizabeth Mitchell left OUAT to work on the ill-fated NBC series, Revolution, but have returned to OUAT.

  13. When "Elizabeth Mitchell left OUAT"?

  14. I think Twisted was canceled some months ago.

  15. Good for Giancarlo and Elizabeth. I'm not planning on watching the show again but good for them. I just hope Giancarlo's character gets better treatment.

  16. Elizabeth Mitchell has never been on OUAT, season 4 will be her time time.

  17. That's cool. I like him. But to be honest I'm just waiting for the news of what they're going to do with Robin Hood, if he'll be a regular next season.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Actually he was never in any Bad Robot Production until after his OUAT gig, then he was cast on Revolution, but I JUST responded to you last night on the Elizabeth Mitchell announcement thread, in which I thought it was likely that he would return XD

The only thing missing from my speculations is a Dominic Monoghan casting announcement and that GE could mean that we could finally see an Aladdin story at some point, which then would mean we could see Jafar (Naveen Andrews) again!

  19. Ok so where is my David Lyons, Josh Holloway, Naveen Andrews, and Emma Rigby guest casting announcements! :p

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yeah,i know,lol.. After i wrote it i realized the mistake i made!

I'm thinking they will definitely have Naveen on at some point and i would love to see Dominic in this.I think he would have been great in it last season. Would LOVE to have David Lyons on!

  21. Ya that's what I'm thinking too! There's a lot of characters introduced/coming back!

Robin Hood (speculated to bumped to regular)
Will Scarlet (set to be regular)
    Elsa
    Anna
    Kristoff (reoccurring)
    Sydney Glass (reoccurring)
    Marian/Zelena (x2 actors reoccurring)
Red/Ruby (reoccurring - assuming she doesn't get another part again)
Elizabeth Mitchell's character (reoccurring/regular? - could be villain)
Rapunzel (had crossover in Disney version: Frozen)
    Glinda (reoccurring - unfinished story)
Ashley/Cinderella (theory - depending if Emma Rigby appears and if "Anastasia" EF back story will be explored)

    Guest Star Potential:
    Anastasia (Emma Rigby)
    Jafar (Naveen Andrews)
    Aladdin (unknown)
    Jasmine (unknown)
    Another Sultan (unknown)
Penelope ( unknown - based on my theory - Will's sister)
    Other frozen characters/Russian myths

Maybe Alice & Cyrus too down the line, but Sophie Lowe has a role on The Returned...

  22. Ha! No big deal! I kind of suddenly thought of the prospect of casting GE as Mr. Eko! Boy would of that role been different, as in, incredibly mouthy Mr. Eko! (oh an he so would of stolen Charlies drugs and taken then himself or sold them to Charlies Widmore!!) XD

Could this mean trouble for Regina in a Fatal Attraction ?!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Your right,haha!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Ok, for me...
    Jasika Nicole as Jasmine/ Tiana,
Josh Holloway as prince or young King Stephan (Aurora's father)
Anna Torv aBilly Burkes princess / young queen Leah (Aurora's mother) or Merida (she can dye her hair)
and Billy Burke as... young Charming's father

  26. Yes! I miss August like burning and I'm forever bitter about what they did to him.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Get me Lance to play the evil guy of The Princess and The Frog.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Just YES to all of that. The casting this year for OUAT is mind blowing, so good! I would LOVE to have Josh Holloway together with Elizabeth Mitchell again though!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I also wanted Jefferson back!

    ReplyDelete
  30. David Lyons, yes! He would fit so well in OUAT (although I am still bitter about Revolution)

    ReplyDelete
  31. I'm here for Billy Burke and/or Tracy Spiridakos appearing too, tbh.

And also bitter about Revolution's cancellation.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Its been far too long since he's been back,i only hope Eion Bailey will also be back?

    ReplyDelete
  33. I think all of us Revolution fans are bitter about the cancellation, especially with that cliffhanger they left us with!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Fuck, I didn't even consider this until someone brought it up, but I'm worried that Sidney's back because Regina's backsliding again. Really hope not.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Since Naveen was on OUAT in Wonderland, I doubt he'll be here (I am 98% sure Jafar died but I can't remember. Oops).

    ReplyDelete
  36. I'll play! XD (nice choices BTW, especially like your Anna Torv choice)

-Josh Holloway - Sir Galahad (although their my be a problem with that considering they cast Fake Lancelot with a black actor...maybe he was "adopted" :P) -Arthurian legend

-Dominic Monoghan - Wart/King Arthur - Sword in the Stone

-Jasika Nicole - Rajah (twist with waretiger) - Aladdin

    - John Cho - Captain Li Shang - Mulan

-David Lyons - Kay - Sword in the Stone

-Blair Brown - Mad Madam Mim - Sword in the Stone

-John Noble or Kevin Weissman - Merlin - Sword in the Stone

    - Joshua Jackson - Taran - The Black Cauldron

-Anna Torv - Princess Elionwy - The Black Cauldron

If she backslides I'll be sooo mad at the writers. She didn't come all the way up from evil to heroine just fall back on evil territory again!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I can see the Original Snow Queen ( Mitchell ) breaking Sidney ( Giancarlo Esposito ) Glass out of the underground 'hospital' and making him her head minion in Storybrooke, allowing him to get his revenge on Regina for locking him up.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Nope! His bottle vanished to another realm (it was left intentionally open for his possible return, even though I suspect that it will be a mini arc via Alladdin story)

Naveen Andrews is about to film Sense8 however, I don't see that stopping him from popping up on OUAT at the end of season 4! Remember, for some yet to be revealed reason, they have brought Will Scarlet to mother series as a series regular for season 4. Anastasia and the story of Will's sister Penelope dying by falling through a frozen lake (Lost and Fringe reference) play to these Russian Myths--like Frozen and/or The Snow Queen and the end of Once Upon A Time in Wonderland also featured a spell book that could break the laws of magic--including things pertaining to "time" (even though the writers took the short way out of that by playing with memory instead), which is what Zelena did at the end of season 3!!! Oz and Wonderland have lots of commonalities...so I could easily see them pull little bits of Wonderland-related stuff into OUAT through out next season....

    ReplyDelete
  41. Ya I think it's either 10 or 13!

    ReplyDelete
  42. He wouldn't have been in the mental hospital very long though, not even counting that it was something he did of his own volition because of his obsession.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Well it will be interesting to see how that exactly worked out when one considers they all went back to the Enchanted Forest again for a year and then were taken back to Storybrooke via Regina/Zelena duel, in which they temp lost their EF memories, so who knows where Sydney ended up in all of that, but more over he would stay there as long as Regina would "deem" him to stay there, since she was still Mayor of the town, unless, as "A" said, someone did/will bail him out (Zelena/Marian, Rumple, EM's character...)

    ReplyDelete
  44. Raising a baby leaves her no time to chase people to Neverland or defeat Zelena :P I hope she comes back as well :)

    ReplyDelete
  45. I don't know if the writers have officially commented on Zelena's demise or not. There could of easily been an interview that I missed, but it's just MY theory that I don't think we're done with her, simply because I think it's the only way to do this Marian plot any justice, otherwise it just feels too contrived IMO...

Will Scarlet/The Knave of Hearts is character from Once Upon A Time in Wonderland played by Michael Socha.

We learned breifly a few things about Will and Anastasia/The Red Queen from OUATiW that relates to OUAT.

Both of those character's stories stem from leaving the Enchanted Forest. Ana gets Will to join Robin's Merry Men in order to persuade them to raid Maleficent's castle while she was away...Will steals a looking glass from the castle, is confronted and out-casted by Robin, and he and Ana (whom also may be Cinderella's step sister) use the looking glass as a portal to run away together in Wonderland. When they arrive they are destitute and Ana continues to insist that they con there way...Ana steals a dress and goes to a royal party, where the King meets her, later catches her stealing, and then he asks her for her hand in marraige, in which she accepts and leaves Will to his own devices....Eventually Cora interfere's and something (unknown) happen's Ana's husband...But Cora teaches her magic and basically tells her that some things in life are just not meant to be in relation for her feelings towards Will...In the meantime Will had been manipulated by Cora and he eventually comes to work for her, but later he also works for The Collectors (shady Wonderland organization)...at the end of the series after Ana becomes "good" again, it is revealed that sometime in the future Will and Ana became the greatest rulers of Wonderland according to Alice's book, but we actually leave the characters after Alice and Cyrus' wedding to go back and "sort out wonderland", as the series leaves a few loose ends, such as a magical spell book that undoes magic and Jafar being turned into a Jeanie and being whisked away "elsewhere"....

It's unclear however HOW Will will fit into the new show. I guess it just depends on if all of the Frozen characters are "from the past" or not and if we would get into something like "two Wills" or if Will leaves Wonderland for some reason....
