  1. Thrilling Adventure Hour is fantastic. Always fun when familiar voices guest over there!

Not loving the spoiler here about the first episode back: I'm a little tired of Alexis having immature reactions, lashing out at people who love her when things go wrong, but hopefully that won't be played up too much.

On another note entirely, those are two very awesome T-shirts.

  2. I didn't get that Alexis was having an immature reaction to her farther possibly being killed,i think her reaction would be quite normal. She just finished saying Alexis will always be protective of her farther (over Beckett) which is only natural. Couldn't you see Alexis saying to Beckett 'If it wasn't for you my farther wouldn't be in this situation.' That is something someone would lash out with because they are under duress..

  3. Oh, I can see it happening, for sure, but that doesn't make it a mature reaction. She did the same thing in "Cops and Robbers," yelling at Beckett when Beckett was only trying to help, (and was in no way at fault). She yelled at her Father when he gave her advice she didn't like about moving in with Pi, (and she never did quite apologize). And now, in what must be Kate's worst moment since losing her mother, Alexis is going to yelll at her again, blaming her and (apparently) telling her she hates her?

  4. I am in total agreement. You have written every single thing I was thinking after seeing this video.

  5. That's just it she is still a teen and they aren't always level headed or sensible to say the least. Alexis has been going through changes like everyone does at one time or another.I'm not saying what she is doing is right, just a normal reaction that kids have. Yeah,it might be Kate's worst moment but it could also be Alexis worst moment, and you aren't going to find a rational, sensible daughter at her age at that moment in time. In that kind of situation everyone will deserve a break.

  6. To be clear, Laura, I'm not trying to suggest Alexis is some kind of delinquent if she get's angry at Kate, or that it's not a common enough kind of reaction. Thing is, in real life it's only ONE possible reaction, whereas on TV, (where Drama comes first), it seems to be the only option. Her level-headedness used to really set Alexis apart, whereas lately she is increasingly resembling every other television teen.

It would be just as realistic and 'normal' to have Alexis lock herself in her room and refuse to talk to anyone, or for her to cling to Martha and Kate as the only people who know what she's going through. But no, it's TV, so they're going the stereotypical route: angst and misdirected rage.

Even when I was a teenager myself, it irritated me that so many tv teens seemed to be that sort: hormone-driven, volatile, selfish and irrational, unable to cope with their own emotional roller coasters without flattening people around them on a regular basis. It was kind of insulting.

I do hope Molly is overstating things a bit. Maybe it won't be so bad. But if they really are going this route, I hope this time we'll at lease see an apology later on. Because if she really can't see past her own hurt for just the moment it takes to see other people are also hurting, (and that she's making it worse), then yeah, I will lose a little more respect for the character.
