  4. I think darthlocke is referring to nucky's murder of Jimmy at the end of season 2, judging by that photo

  5. Me too, but I'm wondering what they are implying there.

  6. Hmmm, maybe that everyone is going to die? I, mean this is the final season

  7. I predict the end will be different than the one that happened to the real Nucky. I think since the Great Depression will be happening this season, Nucky will loose his empire and his money. He will be one of the people that killed himself when the rich lost their fortune. Possibly drowning himself off the shore of the boardwalk.

  8. It's just that Nucky has done so much shit and it has been weighing on his mind for years. With that and loosing his empire, I just think he won't be able to take it.

  9. It's a theory of mine....

Let me try and explain myself.

You see, I always felt that BE only ever was asking one question, "Who is Enoch "Nucky" Thomson?" and that question became up for debate at the end of season 2 when Nucky had some "off screen" conversation with James Darmody that lead to James' murder scene, in which Jimmy continued to be alluded and referenced too through out seasons 3 and 4---and where the reality of BE changed, as season 3 was combination of over theatrical and surreal and where season 4 was surreal with a touch of passive aggressive.

It never sat with me right the way Jimmy died. It wasn't that the character did die or that I thought they lost something by not having MP, but rather I believed he would never just go out without a fight. Originally I thought maybe season 3 was a dream (which I wrote about here:http://www.spoilertv.com/2012/11/nuckys-midsummer-nights-dream.html or that perhaps Jimmy's death was staged with a trick gun--and now, a body with a screw in the right place too)

Ironically season 5's major tagline is that "no one goes quietly" alluding to the ends of the living characters, especially Nucky Thomson, but THAT was always my argument about why I never bought Jimmy's death, because he would never go quietly IMO. (and hence my little GIF I made)

The debate over Nucky has been if he's half a gangster or "what kind of gangster" he is, does he care about anyone or anything? ---The show explores things like romantic narcissism and excessive intellectualism (if someone is too smart for their own good) and IF Nucky is a mastermind racketeer, than the greatest thing the show could do before showing us his take-down (as the real life Nelson Johnson does go to jail in the 1940's) to prove that, would be to have Jimmy be alive at the end of the series, showing just HOW much effort he put into giving Jimmy a second chance at a better life that he deserved....

  10. That everyone but Jimmy's gonna die.

  11. Ha! U don't know about "everyone", but I do think a lot of people may meet horrific ends.
