2014 Character Cup - 2A

22 Jul 2014

Well we did it. 64 characters become 32 as we enter round 2. We're half way through the contest. Thanks so much to everyone participating in round 1. I've had some great TV discussions and I hope you too have had fun reminsicing about some of your favorite shows. It's been a pleasure talking TV with you. Congratulations to Emily Thorne, Chandler Bing, Veronica Mars, and Regina Mills for continuing into round 2. They will be back in 4 days. Shortly after this is posted I will compile the new rankings for every character that is now out of the contest. You can see the new ranking list here. So what character do you wish had gone farther? Is there a character you wish had gotten enough nominations to get into the contest that didn't? Hopefully some of your favorites are still in. Until tomorrow, thanks for commenting and happy voting!

Previous contest results

Polls end - Tuesday around 5 pm CST

Prediction contest results - Toni and Famous 4 It both had perfect predictions this time. Congrats! That puts Janna and Famous 4 It tied for first place with only 2 wrong predictions in 32 polls. Nice job guys! You really know your stuff. Can't wait to see how everyone's predictions go in the second round. I sure hope mine get better.

TV Job - Yep, I am putting you to work. I've selected pictures for this round but chances are you have better ones. Therefore, it's your job to find a picture of anyone moving into round 3 or be stuck with the first thing I found on Google Image. You can pop a picture into the comments below, e-mail me at dahne@spoilertv.com, or tweet me @dahne1. Thanks for helping out! Guidelines:

1. Must be clothed and PG please!
2. Clearly shows the character's face
3. Is just the character and not a group thing
4. No gifs - jpeg or png only please

TV Talk Topic - Today I am postponing the serious TV talk discussion just to have a little fun. (Don't worry. We'll do the original topic tomorrow.) If you could start a Kickstarter campaign for your favorite characters, who and what would it be for? If you want to really have fun, what would some of the prizes be? Remember this is just goofy fun so make it as wild (but still family friendly) as you want. I can't wait to see what your fantasy Kickstarters would be.

  2. My picks for today:

    1. Nikita - I prefer kick butt women characters and I detest Jane so easy choice today.

    2. Buffy - I prefer kick butt women characters and I detest Sherlock so easy choice today.

    3. Bellamy - I prefer....um, new theme. While I like both characters, the tiebreaker for me is how much mosr developed Bellamy is as a character.

    4. Stiles - He's one of my favorite characters on TV, largely because of his loyalty and goofy sense of humor. While he definitely was showcased best in season 3B, he has been my favorite character throughout the show.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Buffy Summers, Bellamy Blake, and Stiles.

    1. Nikita - Other then some reruns in syndication I don't properly watch The Mentalist
    2. Buffy - I watch both but Buffy has made a bigger contribution to TV.
    3. Bellamy - I watch both but Bellamy was really developed and became one of the standouts of The 100
    4. Stiles - I don't watch Bones

    1. Nikita (sorry Patrick)
    2. Sherlock (still don't know Buffy well enough and I was glad to see Sherlock's development in S3, though I still wish it was Watson)
    3. Bellamy (I guess Michael is still too new to me and don't know him well enough yet)
    4. Stiles!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Nikita, Sherlock, Archangel Michael.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Nikita, Buffy, Michael, Bones.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Nikita & Bones for me today.

    Jane, Sherlock, Bones

  10. Nikita, Buffy, Bellamy and Stiles! I love this round. I hate to sound like a complete idiot, but when/where are we to post pics? I'm having a Malia panic moment.

    ReplyDelete
  11. 1) N/A - I don't watch either show

    2) Buffy Summers, Buffy the Vampire Slayer - I'm not really hugely attached to these characters and the shows themselves aren't very important to me either but I gave my vote to Buffy just because of the badass factor she has!

    3) Bellamy Blake, The 100 - I had a mini heart attack when I saw this, but while I love the show Dominion more than The 100, I prefer the character Bellamy more than Michael, so the decision was pretty easy once I thought about it.

    4) Stiles, Teen Wolf - Just because I don't really watch Bones, I binge-watched a lot of it before but I still much prefer Stiles over Brennan.

I know the poll was just put up and things could change but im surprised to see Brennan ahead of Stiles, I didn't realise Bones had so many fans :P

  12. 1. Nikita

    2. Buffy

    3. Bellamy

    4. Stiles

By the way I really like that pictures have been added to the polls this round.

  13. Typically it just gets worse until the final four. By then none of my favorites are ever still in it. :-P

    ReplyDelete
  14. I was surprised by how much character development many of the characters had on The 100 in such a short amount of time. They did a great job of using tough decisions as a catalyst.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Facepalm. Well it would have helped if I had included that info, wouldn't it? It's like having to learn math with Lydia's notes. You can just attach them to a comment, e-mail me, or tweet me with them.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I like the idea with the pictures :) So I will add one too ;)
I think you can guess what character I choose ;)

And I can see once again he is one of this characters viewers like or not...nothing in between :)

    ReplyDelete
  17. I like how The 100 is exploring leadership styles and choices with Bellamy, Clarke, and Finn. I think it gives the show a more well-rounded perspective and makes it more interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Ha! I'm glad you like the pictures. It was too much to get 64 of them uploaded to the finnicky poll system, but 32 is definitely do-able. I hope the pictures are okay for this round and then we'll use the ones others post.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I voted for Nikita, Buffy, and Bones. I sort of feel bad that I haven't watched Teen Wolf yet since someone popular from that show is about to start a new role on The Originals.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Patrick Jane, Buffy, Archangel Michael, Stiles (sorry Bones!).

    ReplyDelete
  21. Ok, will do. I'm going to tweet you one of my favorite pics ever, having nothing to do with today's poll, just because.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I expect that 2 of the races will remain pretty close including Brennan vs. Stiles. They only had a difference of 50 votes in round 1. Bones used to be pretty popular on SpoilerTV when I first started here. I suspect it still has many supporters, especially since few people in the scheme of things have ever heard of Teen Wolf or tried it if they have. It does have a silly name on a not so respectable network for people to overcome. Brennan is a known character to a lot of people, while Stiles is not. Hopefully that will change though as people keep hearing about him in this contest.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Thanks. I thought they would be a fun addition to this round. Hopefully others will post some pictures for round 3.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Oooohhh gifts! I love gifts.

    ReplyDelete
  25. If you have Amazon Prime, you can stream Teen Wolf. It was one of the best shocks of the season before last for me. I never thought I would like it as much as I do. By the way, which actor is going to The Originals. I know they already have actors from it on Arrow and Reign.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Thanks for adding the picture. I think with Jane, you can either get over his abruptness or you can't. He is the cop show equivalent of Gregory House.

    ReplyDelete
  27. The guy who played Isacc is going to TO.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Very cool. I hope you guys like him.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Sherlock and Stiles.

Okay I need to mention that Sherlock most of the time is arrogant, childish and really exasperating, but there's something about him that I find really interesting, as well as his character development in each episode.

Stiles is smart, funny and the heart of Teen Wolf. He is my favorite character in this show, so he gets my vote. I really hope he move to next round.

Nikita and Bellamy for me today

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hopefully I´ll like his character in TO, I didn´t like him in TW.

  32. My for fun Kickstarter projects would be:

Eric Kripke and Jason Rothenberg team up to develop Mad Max for TV- starring Jensen Ackles, SMG, Luke Mitchell, David Lyons, Katrina Law, Walton Goggins, Gabrielle Anwar
    *****************************************************
Eric Kripke develops Robert Ludlums Bourne character for TV starring Jensen, SMG, Jason Dohring, Victor Garbor, Jasika Nicole
    *****************************************************

  33. Stiles! I hope he wins at least this round, Stiles is amazing!
Come on, Teen Wolf fans: we can do this!

    ReplyDelete
  34. These all sound amazing! I particularly like the Mad Max idea (possibly because it's got David Lyons...)

    ReplyDelete
  35. He really needs to be back on my TV ASAP. I'm going to miss him.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I liked him in the previous season, the idea of Derek turning someone who had a crappy home situation was a good one. But after that was resolved, his plot line kind of disappeared and he was left standing prettily in the background. Hopefully he won't do too much of that in the Originals.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Daniel Sharman, he played Isaac Lahey.

    ReplyDelete
  38. One more for fun- Dean/Buffy team up in modern day Van Helsing. Developed by Jason Rothenberg and Eric Kripke. The entire crew is us! The fans. We get paid to be fanning out on set. Everyday.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I got to Teen Wolf through a friend who watched it and told me it was awesome for weeks, and every time she wanted to give me an example of something awesome she mentioned Stiles's scenes. It grew to such a point that I was really disappointed when I started watching and realized Scott was the hero.

    ReplyDelete
  40. We never know, he might be looking for something for the upcoming season. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Nikita, Bellamy and Stiles for me today! I am so excited to see Maggie Q again in the Fall!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Gas money. lol True.

I can't think of any good Kickstarters.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Oh thought of this one too:

Dominion: A kickstarter to pay Whele off to stop blackmailing the people I like. lol

    ReplyDelete
  44. Easy day: Jane, Sherlock, Bellamy and Stiles

Speaking of Stiles (yep, probably should've read today's topic before responding on one of last night's threads!)....I'd start a kickstarter campaign for his own TV movie spin off (which if did well, could be picked up as it's own series). I have no idea how that would actually work but I'd think of something!!! I've just finished the first season of Teen Wolf and when the romance between Scott and Allison got a little too much for me, Stiles came to the rescue. The character is perfectly written and acted :-)

    ReplyDelete
  45. WOW - imagine all the possibilities with a Kripke/Rothenberg team up on a Mad Max project - that would be amazing!!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Nikita and Sherlock!

    ReplyDelete
  47. I think you would have a lot of takers to save AH.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I'm not sure there is enough money in the world for that, but I would be happy to pitch in for a hit man. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  49. You aren't the only person who thought Stiles was the main character after listening to the fandom. Scott may be the main character but it sure seems like Stiles is the favorite. I went in pretty blind so I had no expectations.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Even better! Kickstarter to hire a hitman! I don't know why I didn't think of it!

    ReplyDelete
  51. I felt he was largely pointless in Teen Wolf after we got through his backstory.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Agreed. Isaac is one of theose characters that was far more interesting in the beginning and then degraded into Scott's main cheerleader and Allison's boy toy. His character basically went nowhere.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I've had a really rough day and reading these brought my first laugh (plus a few more) all day!

I'd add one for Teen Wolf (beside the one I mentioned in my post about Stiles): Coach needs therapy. The man is hilarious but clearly crazy! Top prize: a "Coach Made Me Do It" get out of jail free card (authenticated by Stiles' Papa of course!).

    ReplyDelete
  54. I am rooting for Stiles as well, but it is going to be very tough. He has the disadvantage of being on a show that many people have never seen. My biggest dream for having him in the contest has already been realized. Someone decided to try Teen Wolf and is now watching it too. I hope that more people will feel confident to ignore its silly name and unfortunate network because of this contest. Then maybe next year Stiles can go even farther.

    Buffy the Vampire Slayer

    ReplyDelete
  56. Love these! That is some amazing casting here. Got to say that I am already on board, especially for combining those Ludlum actors in anything. Love, love, love having Gabrielle Anwar in a Mad Max-like story too. I thought Luke Mitchell was seriously underrated as well.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Paid to be a fan. That's the best perk yet!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Nikita, Brennan, Buffy, and Bellamy, out of my choices my money is on Buffy taking it, I'm loving Bellamy better than I thought I would, he's becoming a pretty rounded character!

    ReplyDelete
  59. I just tweeted it out so hopefully that will get some more fans to vote. I'd love to see him go farther, not just because of the contest but because I think we can get more people to try Teen Wolf if we keep having him to talk about.

    ReplyDelete
  60. She's definitely got an intense part and quite mysterious as well.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Seriously, I think we could of totally paid for the licensing fee!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Buffy needs to win. Hands down.

    ReplyDelete
  63. None for me toady, but I'll play and talk about a kickstarter TV campaigns! XD

    1. Fringe Season 6 (Even if they couldn't get the original cast for full time, I would totally watch an alternate parallel universe where everyone is now the opposite sex. (It's been a secret fan fiction that exists in my brain that has been brewing since the end of season 3) As it turns out Roberto Orci and Mike Johnson's IDW ongoing Star Trek comics actually have a double issue of the Enterprise crew meeting their opposite sex counterparts from a a parallel universe, which brings me to...

    2. A New Star Trek series set in the new time line. I want a new ship, a new crew, and new exploration with a fresh modern-day-looking cast. Either Bad Robot could produce or P & O Paper Products

    3. J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot would team up with whomever it takes for a multiple universe spy drama. (I'm toying with the title, 'Crossover', (and I know this is really just TV dream wish more than a kickstarter ides)

    4. Game of Thrones Prequel- "Dunk and the Egg" series staring Alexander Skarsgaurd as Ser Duncan The Tall!

    5. Hannah McKay Dexter Spin Off - Micheal C. Hall could be reoccurring character that isn't in the foreground until possibly the very end of the series. Love to see Yvonne Stravoski as a empathetic serial killing lead...

    ReplyDelete
  64. Walt and Buffy for top two!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Can't believe Sarah lost to May.

    ReplyDelete
  66. The multiverse spy thriller is a great idea. And i got your lineup right here:

    Harold Finch
    John Reese
    Root
    Jack Bauer
    Chloe
    Sydney Bristow
    Elizabeth Jennings
    Phillip Jennings
    Raymond Reddington
    Martin Odum (Sean Bean- Legends)
    Carrie Mathison (ha!)

    ReplyDelete
  67. Sorry about that. Sometimes I get going on a tangent in one conversation and then start it in a completely different one. I love Stiles but I'm not sure I want to break up the Stiles-Scott brother bond. I want the core cast to spin-off and leave all these new kids to Teen Wolf 2.0 since they are all pretty much gone characters 2.0, with the exception of the assassins.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Glad it helped. I just needed something silly after a day of waiting in lines. I totally support Coach therapy, but only if we get to see the sessions in a webisode. That would be priceless.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I would love if Buffy won the next 2 rounds, but I think she will be taken out by Patrick Jane.

    ReplyDelete
  70. So glad you're playing with us. I would love seeing the female Walter. Does this mean we get alternate Gene as well? For awhile there I was tired of Star Trek but I think the time is ripe for them to begin again. Sci fi is on a surge on TV and the movies are doing well. It's a great time to synergize that energy.

    ReplyDelete
  71. As more people learn about and watch Orphan Black, I am confident she will continue to be more popular in contests like this. There's always next year.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Yay tied for bragging rights!! I'll enjoy the feeling for now. Judging by the way things are going so far, it looks like I've got the whole of round 2A wrong! Yikes!!!! I seriously underestimated Michael's popularity.

Only voted for Jane this round. I was hoping to see Sherlock and him go head to head! It would have been funny to see two 'mind-readers' facing off. I'm also looking forward to Donna VS Felicity. I haven't started Suits yet, but from what I've heard she's way more than a secretary , much like our beloved Felicity. So i thought it's pretty cool having them in one bracket.

I wish Erin LIndsay had gone a little further, but she didn't have much of a chance against Sherlock.

    ReplyDelete
  73. You are doing awesome! I missed 4 by the second day. From what I have seen of Suits, Donna is pretty much teh glue that keeps everything together, so she's definitely like season 1 Felicity, minus the amazing tech savvy.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Nikita Mears, Buffy Summers (how could I not), and Stiles ( how could I not!)

    ReplyDelete
  75. I know right, Jane is very popular although I gave up on the show, earlier you commented he's like Gregory House, that is a very good comparison, I'm hoping Buffy could pull this round off for nostalgia sake, Brennan, I don't think she can do much, with the popular Teen Wolf, that's another show I haven't caught yet, Oh, I'm loving your kick starter ideas, you and these polls are really helping my Hiatus blues!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Today's TV Topic is going to take some thinking.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Stiles. One of my all-time favourite TV characters.

    ReplyDelete
  78. The pictures are okay for me :)
The majority of my favorite characters have been eliminated, but I will still come here to vote.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Nikita and Buffy. Oh my poor Niki, heroine in one of my favorite shows of all time (at least the first 2 seasons) - I doubt she can overcome the popularity of The Mentalist around here.

    ReplyDelete
  80. So glad you are participating. It makes it more fun when people play along.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Glad it's working. It's helped my hiatus blues as well to keep talking to everyone. We've had some great discussions so far. I think Brennan actually has the advantage because she's on a show more people have seen. The Teen Wolf fans rule Twitter but they don't seem to have much luck in polls like this. My greatest wish is that people will check out the show because of what they hear here. So here's my pitch: Teen Wolf is a sight better than it has a right to be with such a goofy name and airing on MTV. I avoided watching it for a long time because of these 2 things. Eventually the people recommending it to me wore me down and I am so glad they did. If you have 42 minutes, check out the pilot. The non-stop action and answers along with questions drew me in.

    ReplyDelete
  82. To be honest, I thought it would be a complete blowout. I'm glad to see her somewhat holding her own.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Me too, and growing more that way each episode.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Ha! I feel the same way about Buffy and Stiles.

    ReplyDelete
  85. lostrocks4ever22 July 2014 at 07:41

Only Sherlock and Bellamy for me today but both great charatcers

    ReplyDelete
  86. Only Buffy for me today.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Dorothy Forbes22 July 2014 at 08:23

    Micheal On Dominion.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Only Sherlock for me today!

    ReplyDelete
  89. Haha thanks! It's pretty fun! I'm dying to see Suits!! But I'm waiting till I get the time to watch in proper binge fashion so I can really enjoy it :D

    ReplyDelete
  90. Interesting how the last three polls are 54 VS 45 percent at the moment! The competition is going to become super close in the next round.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Justyna Kubica22 July 2014 at 11:38

Yes, agreed. I especially like the fact that it's not like one of them is definitely right and the rest is wrong, those are difficult decisions and each of them has their own, unique perspective that has both good and bad aspects and consequences.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Michael beating Bellamy is another surprise to me, Dominion hasn't even aired half it's season yet. Hopefully when I'm done catching up on Pretty Little Liars i'll get started on Nikita.

    ReplyDelete
  93. hahaha! That would be fun! XD

    ReplyDelete
  94. Bwah! Love it. I totally want to see Nino Sharp now.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Once Michael got sooo many nominations, all beats were off on him. I had no idea what to think.

    ReplyDelete
  96. It should become more interesting to watch in each round up to the Final Four, where we might get a couple of blowouts again. I would love to see all the winners held to in the 50 percentile these days.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Thinking about it, I wonder if I would have liked Suits better in binge mode. I didn't like any of the main characters but the secondary ones, like Donna, were great.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I am totally on board with the Mad Max and Tombstone show!! Great idea, let´s hope somebody picks that up! Ian McShane could fit in either one aswell. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  99. Or maybe the cow was stolen...from another universe! :D

I have never written a lot of public fan-fiction, because I'm always a bit skeptical about both doing the writers a disservice and ultimately seeming disrespectful to the material, but also if my own ideas are really worth penning down, but Fringe is something I think wouldn't be that disrespectful, simply because it's something that does promote alternate universes! Maybe one of these days I'll try it out :P

    ReplyDelete
  100. Just Buffy for me today, though it feels odd to be voting against a BBC character, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  101. :-) I hope you do write some Fringe fan fic for us to read. You obviously love the show and you think deep about TV. I think yours would be a more complex and rich story than a lot out there, something that adds to Fringe instead of takes away from it. If you end up writing something, please share.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Ha! It's a little strange to see as well. Maybe next year enough people will have seen The Musketeers and Artemis will be in it.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Thanks. I will inform the masses if ever go there :)

    ReplyDelete
  104. I was tempted to vote for one the boys but with it only having had one season so far I couldn't really justify it over the iconic people I did chose (Walter White & The Doctor for the lads). I think if it does run for a while longer then either Aramis or Athos could easily be up there, but those womanising ways don't help them either at times tbf..... :(

    ReplyDelete
  105. Good point, but I think they have more fans than say D'Artagnan. I also chose characters with more than one season specifically. It's hard for me to judge a character with limited episodes I wanted to pick people with longer range. Still it's a good way to publicize a new show since I think people are more willing to try a show out if they hear other people talking about it.

    ReplyDelete
  106. That's very true, the fans did manage to vote the finale into the episode cup here after I promoted it in a few places, but then I've had a bad flare up and I just haven't been around a great deal since the nominations for that and I think it lost quite badly in the fist round, lol.

btw, bit off topic, but if you have time in your schedule there's a BBC show called The Fall you may like. Season 2 starts in a few weeks, but S1 is only 5 eps, and it stars Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan. Bit of thriller rather than a light hearted affair, but very, very well made!

    ReplyDelete
  107. Just Stiles for me today. Well, I voted for Bellamy aswell, just because I watch the show. He is not really a fantastic character to me though - yet.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well. I looked up The Fall and it's on Netflix streaming so I will try it out when I get caught up on my summer shows. thanks for the rec. I love Gillian Anderson.

    ReplyDelete
  109. I think Bellamy is fascinating but he would not have been my choice to represent The 100 either.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Me too, it's great for us over here that she does so much on the Beeb these days too, lol. Be prepared to see Dornan in a *completely* different way to what you saw in Once Upon a Time, he's hardly recognisable as the same actor, so chilling...

    ReplyDelete
  111. Easy to do because I barely remember him on OUaT. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  112. Lol, it does seem so long ago now.

    ReplyDelete
  113. You know what, I'm really ready to give Teen Wolf a look and see, it's not that I don't like that type of show, I do I'm a Sci-Fi, and fantasy type of movie or Tv show, I just let the first Season of Teen wolf get away from me, and I hate coming to the party late, however now I'm gonna give it a look, Jane is not roiling away like I thought Wow!! This is good stuff!!

    ReplyDelete
  114. Rabia Salvatore22 July 2014 at 22:20

Nikita, Buffy and Stiles. The last poll between Stiles and Brennan was difficult, I do love Bones but I think Stiles is amazing on his show! Will be happy if either of them make it through. Nikita's chances don't look too great but she will always be kick ass in my books. I still love watching the Mikita season 1 scenes on youtube =P

    ReplyDelete
  115. The Dominion Fans REALLY like him.

  116. Actually there are only 9 episodes this season apparently (show creator confirmed) so we are 5 out of 9 aired so far - more than half way. But I get what you mean.

  117. I am sorry that Stiles is going to be out, but I am very happy that we've been able to talk about him and Teen Wolf. Here's hoping more people check it out and as always, there's always next year. I too am worried about Derek, but I have faith that all will be well. Even as a werewolf turning human, he was able to control Liam which Scott couldn't do multiple times the episode before.

  118. Omg only 9 :( This is like Penny Dreadful all over again!

  119. I think it's cause episode 1 was like 2 episodes and expenses I guess.

  120. I heard it was a lot cheaper to film in South Africa though, dunno how much truth there is to it. As long as we get a second season (and hopefully more) I'll be happy anyway :)

  121. Awesome! That's all I really want from this competition - good conversation and people to try out new shows. I am so glad Buffy won. I figured it would be a tight race. If only she can win the next round as well.

  122. Me too. Hopefully with a full 13 episode season.

  123. LOL - I have the attention span of a gnat so I fully understand the "shiny-thing" tendencies :-)

I do love the bond between Scott and Stiles - I can't imagine one without the other but if say Teen Wolf has run it's course and they wanted to do a show just on Stiles when he was in college and just happened to end up in a town with the same problems as Beacon Hills, well, I wouldn't say no to it! I'm currently finishing a book in a trilogy that started in 2008 but should be done in the next couple days so I should be able to get thru S2 by the end of the weekend. Obsessed? ya, probably!

  124. OMG - an uncensored webisode series would be amazing! I love Coach - he akes me laugh almost as much as Stiles.

  125. Me too and those scenes where Stiles and Coach riffing off each other may be the funniest things on TV bar none. Just wait until you get to the bus trip episode in season 3 with the whistle. Gut busting.

  126. I can't wait! I may cruise thru S2 and S3A/B this weekend - especially now that I know S4 is online!!

So glad I checked this show a try and that I have someone to talk to about it :-)

  127. Season 2 was better than season 1 but not near as good as 3B. I did love the whole kanima mythology.

  128. You are making my contest! I am so glad someone has found this show and enjoys it. It's always fun to have someone to talk TV with and it's even better when it is one of your favorite shows. Season 3 is two different parts that are 12 episodes each, just so you know.

  129. And I like it, it's fun :)

  130. Yeah the main characters are what have kept me from watching for a long time. I thought it was about two pompous lawyers. I never knew there was the awesomeness that is Donna till my sister told me.

  131. LOL...well, I'm glad the contest happened otherwise I never would've found the show! This was pretty much the only show in the contest that I hadn't really heard of. Sad Stiles didn't make it the next round - we will need to fix that for next year!

I saw on Wikipedia that it was listed as 3A and 3B so I wasn't sure if was a continuous story line (like Stargate used to be at the beginning when half aired in July, half aired in January) or if it was like two "seasons" with their own overall story arcs that just aired closer together than S1 and S2 did so it was all considered S3.

  132. Teen Wolf had always had 12 episodes, but it was doing so well for MTV that they wanted a 24 episode season. Jeff Davis, the creator, decided to continue with two separate stories of 12 episodes each, even though they are both technically season 3. They pretty much function like season 1 and 2 where they are standalone seasons. And yes, we definitely need to get Stiles a little farther next year. :-)

  133. Ahhh, I get it. I think they are doing something similar with Haven although I think this expanded S5 for Haven will be the last.

I'm recruiting co-workers to the show - I had one of the contractors literally in tears when I recounted the opening scene from the pilot (the "so which part of the body are we looking for" scene). I have at least one convert! Her kids are in the right age range so I'm working on the whole family now!

  134. You rock! I wish I were still teaching middle school because then some of my students would be talking with me about it.

    ReplyDelete
  135. LOL - I really do love this show and now with the Comic-Con news of a 20 ep 5th season - I feel it's my duty to get Stiles to at least the semi-finales next year!

    ReplyDelete
  136. Wow! Lofty goals. Go for it. I was looking to get him to the Elite 8 hopefully and definitely the Sweet 16.

  137. I'll consider getting further than this year a win but I'm dreaming BIG!!!!
