  1. Nikita for me.

  2. Perhaps one or two might stand a chance in some vague category but none of them would ever win Best Drama or anything else significant.

  3. the words "CW" and "Emmy" cannot stay in the same phrase!! XD

Compared to the others id say arrow but realistically id have to say none

    ReplyDelete
  5. The realistic answer is none but if I have to choose I'd say maybe Arrow or the 100.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I love Arrow and they have an amazing stunt team, I love The 100 and the concept for the show but for now I just can't see it. Not even Strike Back has received a Nomination for their stunts!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Stuart Fleming15 June 2014 at 11:31

I would say Nikita or Nina Doberv

    ReplyDelete
  8. Generic Emmy or Emmy for Outstanding Drama? Because for the second one, really NONE of their show has any chance now or ever, for a generic Emmy I guess Arrow might compete in some of the technical categories.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Win? Probably none. Nominated? Possibly The 100 for any category or Arrow for Outstanding Stunt Coordination.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Maybe TVD if they introduce Outstanding Plot Hole category.

    ReplyDelete
  11. There have been some super eps of Supernatural, but those are all in the past, so they have missed their chance. I can not see Carver being behind anything remotely Emmy worthy. Jensen should have a mantle of Emmys if only his show was not on CW.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Reign

    Nothing else

    ReplyDelete
  13. Supernatural not lots tv-shows have 10 seasons. I'm proud to be part of the #SPNFamily from the beginning :)

  14. this poll gave me a great laugh .lol

    ReplyDelete
  15. If they weren't willing to consider SN for an Emmy in Seasons 1-5, when it was one of the best shows on tv, they aren't going to now, considering it's nowhere near the quality it once was.

  16. Katherine Sheolokova15 June 2014 at 12:46

"CW" and "Emmy"? Sound like a joke! Nikita was their only show that could go for the Emmy, But now, its none.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Katarzyna Skop15 June 2014 at 12:46

Jensen Ackles should have a shitton of Emmys for his acting by now, but alas, a CW show is never going to win anything.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I doubt the Emmy voters even know where the CW channel is, never mind any of them voting for any show on there. It will never happen unless the demographic of the voters change to prepubescent tweenies.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I chose Supernatural, maybe not for the show, but I know that Jensen and Jared should and would receive Emmys for their many amazing performances in these 10 years.

    ReplyDelete
  20. No CW show is gonna win an Emmy. I like a lot of CW shows, so I´m not trying to put them down, it´s just a different kind of show.

    ReplyDelete
  21. If Buffy never won an Emmy and was only ever nominated for one for writing, no CW show will ever get one

    ReplyDelete
  22. maybe Reign for costume design or something technical

    ReplyDelete
  23. Unless its something like stunt work or costumes then the CW ain't winning anything

Def SPN. Many reasons such as it is a fantastic long-running show and it is very diverse in the horror/drama genre. I don't know how many awards and such supernatural got, but I do remember they won one somewhat recently?.
It is great that Arrow so far is high on the poll, but despite its good storylines on an emmy or major award point of view I think it will need a couple more seasons, primarily because it is young. But I'm not saying they shouldn't have awards and because of its DC theme it will go far.
I think that applies to most seasons in general, unless its a twilighty-wolfy or soapy tv.
I would love if supernatural won, but realistically both of these shows would be more than likely nominated. But at the end of the day they are still running, with plenty of fan support :)

  27. Exactly how many shows win an emmy and have only few seasons. Supernatural's will beginn his 10th seasons. Lots of writers, actors and crews who could be jealous of his success. Really proud to be part of the #SPNFamily. Fan from the beginning.

    Sadly none.
But I really wish some of the actors from the network had a chance to win an Emmy (read: especially Jensen Ackles).

    ReplyDelete
  29. Arrow might win for their stunts.

    ReplyDelete
  30. The 100 is way too new to win an Emmy, however, I can see them winning a Teen Choice Award. Alot of these shows could win Teen Choice.

    ReplyDelete
  31. It depends on what fails15 June 2014 at 14:09

CW will never win an emmy, not even the techical awards. Let's be realistic.

    ReplyDelete
  32. None. But the closest would be Arrow or the Originals. Maybe Flash or the Messengers would be closer as well but CW is not Emmy material.

Stick with your People's Choice/Teen Choice.

You're lucky there is no Golden Raspberry award for television.

  38. It depends on what fails15 June 2014 at 14:52

Nikita has two emmy nominations for sound editing.

Can win on its last attempt but it is a dark horse, the only relevant award WB/UPN/CW has ever won is Kerri Russell golden globe for Felicity.

    ReplyDelete
  39. "Exactly how many shows win an emmy and have only few seasons."

How long a show has been on air has no influence on the Emmy nominations whatsoever.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I don't see any CW show winning an Emmy anytime soon.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Cw would be hrilled with a simple nomination but that is even a long shot. But it's not a question of quality in my eyes it's prejudice!

In my humble opinion Megan Follows deserves at least a nomination for supporting actress and Adelaide Kane should get lead actress. I mean I know they won't win but their had some extraordinary scenes and honestly deserve it, at least from my POV.

But as said it's a really long shot!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Arrow and maybe The Flash. Arrow for the stunts mostly and the flash maybe for the special effects that would be put in the show.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Should have been #StarCrossed

  45. The 100 without a doubt. Everything about it is so well done.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Nikita, of course. Everything about it was just top-notch.

    ReplyDelete
  47. The CW will at least go as far as get nominations for technical-based categories in the Emmys, which Nikita was able to garner for Season 3.

Sadly, for the more serious acting categories, a CW show doesn't stand a chance to a lot of the bigwigs from cable and broadcast as young-skewing shows tend to be ignored by the likes of the Emmys. The original 90210 from Fox only got as far as getting recognition from the Golden Globes while OTH's school shooting episode failed to capture attention from members of the TV Academy despite critical acclaim.

    ReplyDelete
  48. For acting categories, Nikita Season 4 can qualify as a mini-series but the odds of winning is a long-shot. The technical categories is Nikita's sure bet of getting a nom.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I know but SPN hasn't enough reconigtions only because it's on the ce that's not fair.

  50. Pablo Troncoso15 June 2014 at 16:49

I trust The 100 could make it, I would love to see Bob Morley (Bellamy) nominated as outstanding supporting actor and I think he has it to make it there eventually.
Arrow could also make the list of nominated shows eventually, this year I expect it for outstandin stunt coordination along with Revolution, and as for acting I believe the performances will improve even further in the coming seasons

    ReplyDelete
  51. Pablo Troncoso15 June 2014 at 16:51

I meant as any emmy, but mainly acting and outstanding drama

    ReplyDelete
  52. Pablo Troncoso15 June 2014 at 16:54

Supernatural should have won outstanding drama in seasons 4 and 5 :(

    ReplyDelete
  53. Pablo Troncoso15 June 2014 at 16:55

They are aware as they recieved multiple submissions for Nina Dobrev's acting. The problem is that they think The CW is beneath them. However, WB shows have managed to scrap some nominations, I think Buffy was nominated for a major emmy once, but that's about it. It's not impossible, but it is extremely unlikely

    ReplyDelete
  54. Not even going to read the fanboy-ish comments: not a single CW show will ever win an emmy.

a.) not a single show on theCW is 'good' enough for the academies standard. Not Reign, wich is not only sh*tting on history but also is writing itself into the 'romance only' corner. Not The Originals as it's too lackluster and inconsistent with writing Klaus' character who is a different character each episode he appears in and yet is always unlikable. Not TVD, wich is basically a collection of fanfiction nowadays. Not Arrow, the show that was a giant letdown after a good first season and served us with lackluster new characters, weak motivations and terrible dialogue. Not Supernatural as it's way too genre-y and doesen't have a solid enough mytharc at the moment to even be considered. Not the 100 wich also is slowly drifting into the classic 'let's push these characters together' CW system. I'm not even going to mention their other shows.

b.) doesen't have the actors with the talent needed to win one or doesen't focus on the actors that could.
Somerhalder, Morely, Tonkin, Accola, Davis, Lotz, McQueen Haynes, Kane, Coombs, Regbo and Taylor are more looks than anything. Some don't push any work into their performance, others are just incapable to speak with another pitch and the rest just can't twitch a facial muscle.
Meanwhile Morgan, Follows, Padalecki and various others are acting so over the top one would assume they're on some kind of drug
And in the end actors like Dobrev, Wesley, Gillies, Blackthorne, Thompson, Bennett, Pipes, Holt, Matt Davis and Barrowman are either underutilized, misused as romantic ship bait or just decoration

I love Arrow, SPN and TO but let's be honest on that one: this is a network that gives in to its audiences wish to ship pairings instead of focusing on storyarcs on more than one occasion.

I'm not even mad that they won't win anything because with the way some characters are written and some actors deliver no performance at all I feel like them being ignored is deserved

    ReplyDelete
  55. Pablo Troncoso15 June 2014 at 17:08

While I also think The CW may be nominated at best, I don't rule out the possibility of these shows winning, at least an acting emmy. I may dislike TVD, but Nina Dobrev is a good actress and has been considareted for a nomination before, Bob Morley has done an outstanding performance in his freshman season on The 100!
I don't think it's good to underestimate the acting talent some CW shows have, they could make it eventually.
I think The 100 could make it- but it's highly unlikely- to the outstanding drama category somewhere along its run, because if it fix some of it kinks it will be on the same level as GoT.
That being said, Emmys have something against The CW, Supernatural was outstanding enough during its 4th and 5th season to be nominated and it wasn't. So while I don't think it will happen, I like to think that- as slim the chance may be- there is a chance

    ReplyDelete
  56. CW - just not a respected network unfortunately. But Jensen Ackles deserves an Emmy nomination at least. He's brilliant and talented and delivers 110% every week.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I believe I picked both TVD and Reign, although I'm sure any of the shows in this poll would have at least been nominated by now if it was going to happen. Reign gives a slight nod toward a figure in history who often gets overlooked. However, I'm not sure if Mary Queen of Scots would like how she's being depicted if she were alive today. I chose TVD because if any actor on the CW is Emmy-worthy, it's Nina Dobrev.

    ReplyDelete
  58. The problem isn't that the network is snubbed. It's that superheroes and the supernatural don't have much of a place with the Emmys, and the majority of shows on the CW are all about that.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Arrow for Blake Neely's score.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Cw shows will never win an emmy (at least for writing, directing or acting) because of their content, genres, competition with other cable dramas, demographic and the general fact that the writing and acting on CW shows doesn't compare to that of many other shows.

    ReplyDelete
  61. It'll never happen.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Оля Белякова15 June 2014 at 18:27

    Beauty and The Beast

    ReplyDelete
  63. Supernatural was great those years but it wasn't even close to shows like Mad Men, Dexter (at the time), Boardwalk Empire and Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad and Downton Abbey (all of which were emmy nominated those years) in terms of writing, directing, costume work or even acting.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Lol. I'm sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Doesn't stand a chance.

    ReplyDelete
  66. It was nominated for the episode 'Hush' but Sarah Michelle Gellar never got nominated for Buffy, unfortunately. Buffy had always been rejected by Emmys

    ReplyDelete
  67. Arrow has an outside shot at winning an "outstanding stunt coordination" Emmy but that's it.

    ReplyDelete
  68. The CW is. I'm not trolling, or trying to annoy people, but it's try. Unless the CW shapes up, it can't compete.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Arrow definitely. TVD has won so many awards, IDEC if they win an Emmy or not. SPN, doubt it.

    ReplyDelete
  70. LMFAO! too funny. Your laughter made me bust out laughing. that was good. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I'm glad I could make you laugh.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Thought the same thing.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Agreed. With everything.

    ReplyDelete
  74. #StarCrossed

    ReplyDelete
  75. Jared, too, for his acting, especially in the S8 finale. But realistically, I voted 'none' in acting at least. Other categories, maybe. As others have said, The CW being recognized in any acting category is not synonymous with Emmy - maybe in the 'supporting actor category' .

    ReplyDelete
  76. Supernatural has been nominated before and bucking the ratings trend for TV thise year has people talking about it. Still, it will never be nominated. Arrow should be nominated for stunt coordination and has the most chance of being nominated, but it won't be either. However, if the CW continues after affiliate renogitations, I see its reputation continuing to get better under the leadership of Pedowitz. Right now it doesn't matter what airs on the CW; it won't be nominated. They have to continue to slowly increase people's awareness about the new direction the network has taken before any show will be considered for any major award.

    ReplyDelete
  77. One reason being is that CW cancels before it even gives a show a chance.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Haha, is this a serious question? Joke of the month!

    ReplyDelete
  79. You can say that about a lot of networks, but the CW rarely pulls anything early, meaning that it usually has at least 13 episodes to show its stuff. The CW more than any network gives shows plenty of time to catch on and often saves shows that have no business continuing. No other network would be as generous to shows as The CW is, mostly because they cannot afford to get rid of them.

    ReplyDelete
  80. It would be fabulous to see one of the boys from Supernatural finally be recognized for the tremendous work that they do from week to week, hopefully through a Best Actor nomination. I don't think that the show has a wide enough appeal to win a Best Show, though. From the list I could see Arrow making the leap first.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Even if nominated by some miracle, it couldn't win.

    ReplyDelete
  82. These are more MTV award categories. The Emmy's don't have a Best Kiss category.

    ReplyDelete
  83. 夢見るクラゲちゃん♕15 June 2014 at 19:04

    Supernatural !

    ReplyDelete
  84. Good question. I really don't think it's any more unlikely than having Julie Plec win the Nobel Prize for Literature...

    ReplyDelete
  85. By the way, the Emmy nomination ballots for this year can be found here: http://www.emmys.com/ballots/2014. There are a lot of options but only five or so will be nominated. As to CW shows, for performance, SPN, The 100 and TO are not even an option to vote for. Arrow dominates with four (Amell, Thompson, Bennett and Rickards), followed by HoD (Bilson, King and Matheson) with three. TVD (Somerhalder and Dobrev), Reign (Coombs and Follows) and TTP (Young and Yoo) have two each, and Nikita (Q), BatB (Basis), TCD (Robb) and SC (Lanter) all have one. For writing, only TO (A Closer Walk With Thee) and The 100 (We Are Grounders (Part II)) are options. You can see the rest for yourself.

But let's all be honest: when the nominations come in on July 10, there won't be a CW show among them.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I say that Nina Dobrev has a chance to win an Emmy for her AMAZING performance in the season 5 finale of TVD.

    ReplyDelete
  87. yeah that is the only show I can see getting a nom

    ReplyDelete
  88. I probably should have said 'nominated' instead of 'winning' because that's probably a pipe dream if I'm being honest.

    ReplyDelete
  89. yeah winning seems unlikely but a nom is still an achievement

    ReplyDelete
  90. Victoria Llanos15 June 2014 at 22:11

Don't get me wrong, I watch the CW and I love.. two of their shows right now, but I don't think any show in this network will ever win an Emmy or even be nominated for one. There are some strong preformances, but non award worthy.

    ReplyDelete
  91. EuphemiaWonderland15 June 2014 at 22:12

The Emmys have been a joke for years. They nominated crap like Glee for years and Fringe never got a single nomination when they had the best acting.

Also it's nice to see the regular CW haters who don't even watch one show of the network here ;)

    ReplyDelete
  92. No it hasn't gotten an emmy because it can't compete against other the dramas.

    ReplyDelete
  93. 100% yes.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Only thing on here that would come close is Arrow for stunt coordination and music, imo. Which, to be fair, Arrow should win on both counts.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Supernatural won several people choice awards very proud about my favorite tv-show #SPNFamily

    ReplyDelete
  96. The CW gets no love. Supernatural is in the rarefied air of 10 seasons and yet it's not ever recognized. Only a major industry insider could move this mountain because we fans, the show, and the netlet haven't got much of a chance.

I would be over the moon if "We Are The Grounders Part II" actually got nominated, but honestly, it won't happen xD.
At least they have the option to vote for CW shows

    ReplyDelete
  99. Pablo Troncoso16 June 2014 at 00:23

Supernatural season 4 & 5 was way better than Boardwalk Empire in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, Boadwalk Empire is a great show, but I think it's a bit overrated; the characters are great, but the storyline and the pacing always dragged the show down for me until I finally stopped watching on season 3

    ReplyDelete
  100. Pablo Troncoso16 June 2014 at 00:24

Probably not, sadly. I see The 100 getting really great on its upcoming seasons, but even if it becomes the best thing on TV I doubt the emmys would vote for it :(

    ReplyDelete
  101. Carver is not perfect, but he's doing a show with a 7 years of history behind it. The episode Sacrifice (8x23) is pretty Emmy worthy to me. In fact, the acting, writing, cinematography, directing, and sets were so impressive that I think it's why Season 9 was tough to swallow. It made an incredible promise, and the writers struggled to live up to it.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Don't forget Mark Sheppard.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Victoria Llanos16 June 2014 at 00:38

    LOL! brillatly put!

    ReplyDelete
  104. Supernatural's one of the most Dramatic show all beginn with the death of their Mother burn, theirs Father, Father Figure, third brother and friends all dies.

    ReplyDelete
  105. And for me that is the big problem, Carver has thrown away most of the history and canon of the show. I am looking at season 8 & 9 as a completely new series and the way he torn down Sam in the first ep of season 8, turned me off. But I am not going to fight that battle again, this is just MHO and as a show runner Carver is a super writer.

    ReplyDelete
  106. I would pick SPN over BW but the acting in SPN has always been total B level, same goes for most CW shows. They're fun regardless, the acting isn't why I watch The CW.

    ReplyDelete
  107. It depends on what fails16 June 2014 at 02:44

    LOL, I can't stop laughing.

Next step is Adam Sandler winning an Oscar and Australia winning the world cup.

    ReplyDelete
  108. I do not disagree one bit that canon, pacing, and "throwing ideas out and see if they stick" have been problematic throughout the last season.

    ReplyDelete
  109. That's not how it works. Look it isn't Emmy material, it's a great show but it's not.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Fair point (about it being overrated) but that doesn't lesson that Supernatural as great as it was in seasons 4 and 5 still by the majority is not as good as those other shows.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Sadly that is true.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Great, the show is great. But still overall a CW show at this point doesn't have the acting (each cast has moments and people, like Joseph Morgan and Nina Dobrev who if given the correct material and and show could pull if off in my opinion), writing, or directing to really make it superior to those shows. It would be cool if a show got there though, but the CW doesn't really have the resources or at least vision right now to do so.

    ReplyDelete
  113. So no SPN in any ballots, right. Ha, at least they are not delusional. Its shows own choice to submit its/cast name to the ballots list (as much as I know). Then its all in voters hands. So the fact that SPN doesn't even try - I can respect that. They know better after 9 years.

    ReplyDelete
  114. I understand that this is apples and oranges, but Jensen Ackles had few nominations for Daytime Emmys. Yee-yee, but still. I can not imagine he lost all his acting skills in 15 years, usually its other way around.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Yeah, true. Jensen is pretty good. I like him a lot however. But he's not GREAT, at least I don't think so but there so many better actors on TV at the moment. But have you seen daytime TV? He would definitely deserve an Emmy for that category. Although I have seen great actors on soaps and they're still bad sometimes.

    ReplyDelete
  116. None, simply not the type of shows that would have a chance in that league.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Seriously the acting, Jensen and Jared are brillants actors. That's not the first tv-shows or even movies.

    ReplyDelete
  118. some shows who won a Emmy are so boring.

    ReplyDelete
  119. SHIELDNCISArrowfan16 June 2014 at 06:28

Emmy don't give the crap about network show anymore.........it all cable show which is really boring and bad.............

    ReplyDelete
  120. Okay. Doesn't really change anything. A lot of people probably think Supernatural is boring.

    ReplyDelete
  121. They're good, but their range is limited. More importantly Supernatural doesn't always give them fantastic material or a change to show it, and they're not as polished or well-rounded as say Bryan Cranston or Aaron Paul or Jon Hamm or Peter Dinklage, actors who they would compete against in the eyes of Emmy voters (and me, but me opinion doesn't really matter).

    ReplyDelete
  122. are you watching Supernatural? not only few episods or the first seasons?

    ReplyDelete
  123. Honestly, none. That doesn't mean that a lot of the shows listed aren't popular or fun to watch, but really when you compare the general standard of production, acting, writing etc then they are second best to a lot of the cable shows.

    ReplyDelete
  124. #StarCrossed When I watched the pilot I was immediately reminded of the black integration into white schools in the 60's "Little Rock Nine". #StarCrossed, if given the chance, could have been a n awesome show, perhaps showing kids that we still have a lot to do to be truly HUMAN.

    ReplyDelete
  127. If anybody ever deserved an Emmy it was Maggie Q for Nikita or Nina Dobrev's performance on TVD Season 2. Both of them don't exist anymore :)

  128. I am not saying he is the best. And I don't think he (or any other CW actor) ever will have a chance to be even nominated (while still on CW). I am just saying that there are some talented actors here and if they are given proper material to work with they can deliver Emmy-worth performances. Genre, low budget and CW reputation equals zero chance.

  131. None. I don't think the Emmy's even know what the CW is.

  132. My exceptionally primitive understanding is that the actor or his/her representation (agent) has to 'self-nominate' with the show's backing. I read that Jensen/agent did 'this' at least once in SPN S2 for 2.21 AHBL 1, I think. I recall asking the question on the old CW board why Jared didn't do the same thing and as far I recall the non-expert answers I got was Jared and his representation didn't think it worth it as Emmy's for genre shows in the past were snubbed.

  133. I was talking as a whole season. In that entire season she did a phenomenal job. Since then she had her moments in later seasons. But now that the show is a sh**feast. She doesnt get to work with much material!

  134. I've seen the entire show. Yes. Again they're excellent in their roles, but not as good as the other contenders in my opinion. Nor have I ever seen them play anything else role wise that differs from that of their Supernatural characters or is at all substantial as a role.

  135. I think ABC Family is lining towards Emmy-worth programming with shows such as Switched at Birth, The Fosters and now Chasing Life... I can understand that sci-fi shows are overlooked, but I just don´t understand why are teenage dramas overlooked overall...

Interesting, only 13.49% of the votes are for "none" yet most of the comments here point out that a CW show may never win an emmy (to which I mostly agree, though I'm open to be surprised)

  137. If shows like "Buffy", "Angel" and "Veronica Mars" never win an Emmy and was only ever nominated for one for writing, no CW shows will ever get one. Period !

  138. 2374 persons have vote for a CW show until now

  139. Since Emmy's are more than just acting and writing, I would say that Arrow will be the next CW show to get an Emmy and it will be for stunt coordination, I see it happening in the next two years. Oh and fun fact a CW show has won an Emmy, two to be exact: Nikita actually has two Emmy's for sound editing. If we are talking acting, writing or directing I'd put my money on someone from the Flash in the next three years.

I was bored and I saw the ballots and I found out that emmy voters can actually for The 100 for outstanding drama series! It's not going to happen, but I was happy to see that the option was there :)

  141. I agree with this. Buffy & Angel were better than any of the current CW shows.

  142. I think the material is so bad now that all the actors have kind of checked out and it really shows in their acting. I think Nina is still good but I don't really feel like she's into playing Elena anymore and it shows.

  143. I know she probably wont be nominated but i truly love how Adam Sepinwall from hitfix would give the Ballout to Emily Bett Rickards. Love how she is getting praised for her work.

  144. I believe Jay Ryan & Kristen Kreuk should win an Emmy as they are the 2 best actors in a drama. He plays both parts in the series the Beast & the human in BATB & she is a tremendous actress & has the skills to do Karate without having to use a double. Their chemistry is next to none .
