  1. Wow, looks like we don't put a lot of faith into the new shows. Only two already running series getting canceled? Really?

    ReplyDelete
  2. Beauty and the Beast? Really?

    ReplyDelete
  3. Haha no faith in the new shows I see, 40 out of 42 of the predicted to be canceled shows are new ones.

    ReplyDelete
  4. "We" are pretty harsh on these new shows. don't think it will be this easy. Some old stuff will be canceled for sure. But let's see, it will be an interesting season.

  5. I would have voted that way because that show seems to have more lives than a cat! I was sure it would be canceled this year, but it hung in there. So now I just predict it will be renewed or at least I don't vote that it will be canceled.

i think people confused "will be renewed" with "Want to be renewed" popularity plays a part in the votes as well. I think that they are stepping up their game in writing the show, and i think the show could recover. Its happened to shows before, where they jump the shark and the ratings plummet but the networks take a chance and the show miraculously recovers and goes on to become as good as it always was. Didnt buffy get canceled in season 5? yet it moves to a new network, and has 2 more seasons. 2 seasons that i couldnt imagine the show being without.

  7. Damn, if it was up to us, all the new shows would be cancelled. LOL, let's see how well we do this year! Going to be fun again.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I don't know why the majority predicted The Millers as cancelled, when it's obviously been protected by CBS and will air after TBBT again.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Since we don't officially know if this coming season is Bones' last yet, it makes me happy to see that the majority of people voted for it to be renewed.

    ReplyDelete
  10. There was 1 vote in it I believe.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Since I see Glee wasn't included in the chart this year that pre-renewed shows were excluded?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Glee will end in season 6.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Ah, I see a lot of faith has been placed into the new shows...not. Just like last year. BTW Andy NCIS: New Orleans (in the to be renewed list) is a new show.

However, I can, in theory, see the new shows predictions being correct.

    ReplyDelete
  14. From the existing shows, I say Hart of Dixie (final season), The Mentalist, Resurrection, The Following, and maybe Beauty and the Beast get cancelled.

It seems I have a lot more faith in new show than most people! But then again, they trust most of the returning shows will be renewed, so I get it...

  16. i didnt make my votes in the pools earlier, but this predictions are way to wrong.
in a interesting note, just by viewing the new shows that the readers predict to be renewed (9), there are 4 based on comic books and 1 show by the same creater as scandal, whitch i dont get it why is so popular. and people seeing that a show of the same creater of scandal its going to be a hit, its tottaly stupid.
about the superheroes shows, i think this "readers" are more like fanboys that whant those superheroes be on tv every single year. and by the looks of it, it will never stop for about 10 more years.
its just sick to see more and more shows based on comic book heroes. this trend need to be stopped asap.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Are 98% of the new shows ALWAYS predicted canceled?

    ReplyDelete
  18. CBS will not be cancelling The Millers people

    ReplyDelete
  19. No way Cw will cancel 3/4 of their new shows.

    ReplyDelete
  20. No matter what will happen (and I think it will be the last season) I am so unbelievable happy to see The Mentalist still on the list and that we will get our 7th season ♥

BTW shouldn´t the first 2 cancelled shows be green as the prediction was right, or am I just not getting it? :)

    ReplyDelete
  21. @Smileyfan Yep you're correct. I'll get it fixed.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Emerald City and Hieroglyph were predicted to be cancelled and they already have been, so how can voters be incorrect?

    ReplyDelete
  23. They weren't marked as incorrect, they were marked in green. Red means incorrect.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I thought the mentalist was an announced final season?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Ugh! How did I miss this poll?

    ReplyDelete
  26. I know what I saw - they were marked red. Now it's fixed.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I think you're right. I'll remove it from the table. I think the table was created before we knew.

    ReplyDelete
  28. How was i suppose to know that? No need to get snippy about it.

    ReplyDelete
  29. When they announced the renewal for a 7th season they didn't say it was the final season,at least not at that time....

    ReplyDelete
  30. Cute how there are only 2 returning shows getting canceled lol. Some tears shall be shed come May.

    ReplyDelete
  31. How was i suppose to know that. But there is no reason to get snarky about it.

    ReplyDelete
  32. How was I suppose to know that? No need to get snippy.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Why is almost every new show in cancellation? Hardly any of them have aired

    ReplyDelete
  34. They wont be cancelling 42 new shows and 2 returning, I assume overall will be 55%

    ReplyDelete
  35. Whether they have aired or not doesn't matter, this was compiled during the summer. And a good part of freshman shows do get cancelled every year.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Last year, around 35 new shows were cancelled and I don't think the predictions this year will be so bad the it only 55%. It will probably be something around 80% again.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Another show cancelled before premiere.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Really??? I'm super excited for Galavant..

    ReplyDelete
  39. I have never heard of Weird Loners or Mr.Robinson. Google is going to be my friend in a few minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  40. They were both straight to series orders.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Hope they're wrong about Cristina and fresh off the boat

    ReplyDelete
  42. No incorrect prediction so far. Even the readers were right about The Millers. Although nobody thought it would be canceled so early into the season.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Thanks haha. That's what I meant

    ReplyDelete

I am happy to see Red Band Society is on the likely to be renewed list at least according to the readers!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Red Band Society hasn't officially been canceled yet since even the article saying that the first season has been shortened there is a possibility of a second, however unlikely it is. So it's not cancelled until FOX anounces it as such,

    ReplyDelete
  46. So RBS gets the first incorrect prediction. Constantine will also be incorrect.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Well they shut production down, didn't order any more episodes and have pulled the remaining produced episodes from the schedule. That's as cancelled as I need. If they announce a 2nd season renewal then we will update.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Well, they are airing an episode next week, so it's not pulled per se, but FOX hasn' tyet to announce when it will return. Te remaining episodes will probably be burned off on Friday or Saturday.
    But yeah, it's pretty cancelled.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Resurrection, Stalker and State of Affairs will also be wrong most likely. Black-ish was also predicted to be cancelled and should be renewed comfortably. I also think that something from midseason will pop, especially on hit-starved FOX or NBC, but we shall see.

    ReplyDelete
  50. There's a typo in the text to this. The text says Gracepoint was incorrectly predicted to be cancelled. It's been cancelled and it's in green in the to be cancelled column. I'm pretty sure you meant correctly predicted to be cancelled.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I'm so OVER THE MOON to see The 100 renewed :D

    ReplyDelete
  52. BATB isnt getting canceled they renewed it for a 3rd Season also it won 2 Awards at The People Choice Awards.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Almost everyone was wrong about JtV TBH!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Yes, and guess what else... AWFUL RATINGS.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Well if it had awful ratings then it wouldn't be a Season 3 and they wouldn't have won 2 Awards at The People Choice Awards. I went to the main source of the person who plays as JT Forbes and he said that Beauty and the Beast is not being canceled cause Season 3 hasn't been on yet. Also its coming on in the Summer this year. I actually do talk to the guy who plays JT Forbes on BATB. B n

    ReplyDelete
  56. Look, it is obvious that it has awful ratings (it doesn't even get 1 million viewers per episode) and I'm only saying that it is very possible that it gets cancelled after season 3, given that they renewed almost every other show on CW, and that they don't even trust the show oneugh to air it before summer. Also, I don't care who you're friends with.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Remember when LITERALLY everyone hated Jane the Virgin?

    ReplyDelete
  58. Not everyone hated it. I personally was one of those who merely mocked its ludicrous premise.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Well I don't remember anyone saying "this show looks really good" or "the premise is so good" or "it will definitely win awards!". All I remember is everyone hating on the show/premise + look at this table; 93% of the voters thought (hoped lol) it would be the first cancellation.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I think we're talking past each other here. I consider "hate" a rather strong word in this context. What you call hate, I call mocking and lack of faith the show could actually make it, so I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I'm happy for the fans that the show is a success, it just goes to shows you can't judge a show by its logline/trailer.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I agree...I don't remember people hating the show....they were just very skeptical about the show's premise and didn't think that it would be interesting to viewers.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Well we will jusr have to wait and see what the show does after each episode and after what will happen. Also Yep its cool i talk to Austin Basis who plays as JT Forbes on BATB. You can talk to him yourself on Facebook just search Austin Basis or go on Twitter he is on there too. Im not trying to be mean or smart here just telling you what Austin says to me and again i mean Jane the Virgin got bad ratings and it won some awards at The People Choice Awards and the other award show that was on last night and it got renewed for 2nd Season. I mean ar
lso BATB had bad ratings when they still had it on Season 1 and it won awards and it got renewed by the edge of its seat. Like I said just have to wait.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I honestly believed it would be awful and that it would be cancelled. I admit I couldn't be more wrong; this is Chicago Fire all over again (I had the same expectations of quality and cancellation). This is a reminder that one shouldn't judge a book by its cover

    ReplyDelete
  64. There was a time before it premiered when plenty of people hated it, mostly because it was picked over some other genre options, such as the SPN spin off and the anticipated The Selection. Those feelings, however changed upon JtV's arrival

    ReplyDelete
  65. People really proved to be pessimistic about new shows.
Madam Secretary turned out to be solid and Empire a huge hit. We'll have to look new ways to predict which shows will stick or not, which is always tricky

    ReplyDelete
  66. The problem is that the ratio of new shows that are actually renewed compared to the number of new shows networks launch is in fact very low. When in doubt, statistics are very clear that you have better odds at winning by predicting cancel than by predicting renewal. So it makes sense that collectively we predict most new shows to be cancelled. The hard part is to predict which selected few will make it.

    ReplyDelete
  67. The Selection wasn't in contention for this year. It was in contention two years ago and three years ago, not last year.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Despite all the acclaim, I am still not willing to give The Virgin a chance. I have nothing against the show (especially now that it hasn't prevented any of my CW shows to be renewed) but it just doesn't sound like the type of show I would be interested in and nothing I've read so far has convinced me otherwise. It is the same for Empire. They can be very successful and all that, but there are some premises that I am just "meh".

The biggest surprise I've had with the show (probably ever, but at least in recent years) has been Reign. I hated when it was picked up over the selection and was furious with the CW for giving it a post TVD slot with so many more promising shows I liked (Star Crossed, The 100) held to midseason and I was even furious with the show when it won the renewal race against TTP and scored an early renewal but I gave it a chance later on and I absolutely loved it, it is one of my favorite shows nowadays. That's a big cautionary tale for me .

    ReplyDelete
  69. I saw the pilot and I thought "this is actually kind of charming", but it didn't hook me. I don't follow JtV, but it changed my mind about it being just generic teen over the top drama, and then by reading about it I have started to respect the show for what it is doing, but it's not my cup of tea, charming as it is.

I was worried when it was nominated for the Golden Globes because I knew it meant it would be renewed, but then when everything else was I was actually happy that JtV snapped the renewal too. My priority was for The 100 to get renewed, and now that it has - along with everything else - I stopped completely to root against the show and I became ready to admit that I was utterly wrong about it. In a way, it has been a really humbling expierence; I was like 97% sure this show was going to be hated by the critics and viewers alike and I was waaaay off

    ReplyDelete
  70. Really? Wow, time has gone really fast for me, I was sure it was in conetention for 2014 xD. Well, that happens. Still, there is always people mad that one promesing premise gets the boot for something else, that's kind of the point I was making

    ReplyDelete
  71. Yeah, but I think this year in particular people were really pessimistic about it; makes sense, but this year they went really hard with them. Returning shows are always a safer bet, but something is going to stick, networks can't cancell everything.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Yeah I agree with that and I myself felt that!

    ReplyDelete
  73. I think that was more my experience with Reign with you are describing. But I definitely agree those things can be humbling experiences!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Yes, BATB has bad ratings. And STOP with your PCA, win a PCA or two or five doesn't make ratings better. Crazy fan!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Ambar Moreno Candelas13 February 2015 at 23:25

    Great Supernatural!!! :) ♥

    ReplyDelete
  76. BTW, Madam Secretary was renewed months ago.

    ReplyDelete
  77. HA! I remember having said that EXACT same thing a couple of years ago!

    I think it's just a default reaction...

    ReplyDelete
  78. People predicted Empire as a goner, and it was a hit lol

    ReplyDelete
  79. We have no faith in new shows whatsoever, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I still hate it.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Yikes, 75% .... Not so good this year with the predictions.
