Rumor - WB/DC Comic-Con announcements revealed?

12 Jun 2014

A lot of stuff remains in flux but my sources have so far:

May 2016 – Batman v Superman
July 2016 – Shazam
Xmas 2016 – Sandman
May 2017 – Justice League
July 2017 – Wonder Woman
Xmas 2017 – Flash and Green Lantern team-up
May 2018 – Man Of Steel 2

There had been talk of a Metal Men and Suicide Squad movie for sometime in 2016 but that project fell off the schedule.

They really should pair Shazam with someone or replace him with Martian Manhunter or Green Arrow before Justice League. I don't think Shazam can spearhead a movie and get interest and nor would he be good for the Justice League film. Same thing for Sandman. they're not well known heroes.

  2. Oh..oh my god. Flash and Green Lantern team-up?! I'd be all up for it.

And it is seriously time Princess Diana gets her own movie, Finally.

  3. I don't know... "Justice League: War" was very good with Shazam, I admit it, but no Aquaman? I guess the Green Lantern could/should be a reboot, btw.

  4. Right? I guess Martian Hunter would be better. I'm just curios to know the member of the league. Tottally DC new 52? Old formation? Maybe Hawk-Girl to honor the amazing "Justice League Unlimited"

I'm almost certain now that we're getting the Justice League: War lineup (with Shazam replacing Aquaman).

I hope this announcement is true. Now the DC haters can stop bitching about Wonder Woman. It's obvious the movie was happening because Gal Gadot is hired to do five movies. Finally I'm excited for superhero movies again. Now I need Sony to confirm the Sinister Six movie.

  7. Yes I'm excited for these new movies particularly the two partner team ups, hope we have more of them in the future.

They don't even need to do any of them. they could do there own justice league line up and very few people would care.

  9. hahahaha - I totally read Princess Diana as the actual British Princess Diana until I went back up and saw Wonder Woman! Epic fail me! lol!

  10. There was talk some time ago that Warner Brothers will be releasing some DC-related films that won't be connected to one single collective universe. Metal Men would've been one of those and I presume Sandman will be as well. But, Shazam makes a lot of sense. He is a very interesting character that could have relatively the same power level as Superman and a cinematic Justice League line up should have a couple of heroes with the similar power level. Plus, with David Goyer's recent comments towards Martian Manhunter as well with WB going for a similar New 52 route, I don't think we will ever see MM(thus, bringing in Cyborg and then Shazam much like Justice League: War).

  11. I definitely think it'll be a mixture of JL: War, New 52 and the JL animated series.

    - Superman
    - Batman
    - Wonder Woman
    - Cyborg
    - Flash(Wally West)
    - Green Lantern(John Stewart)

There's rumors about Aquaman then appearing in a JL film, aside from what this info even says, and Aquaman and the Atlanteans could even be introduced as villains.

Flash should get his own movie and Green Lantern should team up with Green Arrow instead

  13. there it is, there is the real one.... Man Of Steel 2...

  14. That's a lot of movies in the space of 24 months and for all we know none of them (except for BvS) has even reached pre-production.

Batman vs Superman and The Justice League will be shot back to back.

Are they bringing in Cyborg? I did not know about that but that sounds amazing. I really do like Shazam and the movie could be fantastic, but from a purely business sense. I really do not know if Shazam could have a film based around him that'll be a hit.

They casted Cyborg for the JL movie.

  18. A so far unknown guy named Ray Fisher, who recently played as Muhammad Ali in a play was cast as Vic Stone/Cyborg.

Now that you say that I do remember hearing that a while back but I put it out of my mind. Well I'll hope he'll be good cause Cyborg is one of my favorite dc heroes.

  20. The film will be called "The Greenies", lol.

But, no, Flash and GL have to be in a film together…they represent the "Brave and the Bold".

  21. Well, according to hitfix Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) is set to play Aquaman on "Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice"

I saw that, but Nikki implies that it's a cameo appearance. (She also mentions that it's for Justice League but with them filming both films back-to-back it'd be easy to mix up which he's for).

I'm thinking they'll give him a cameo in either BvS or JL and then introduce him proper in one of the post Justice League films (Probably MoS2).

  23. Wonder what a show has to do to be represented on a panel at comic con. the #BATB cast deserves to be at comic con. Who decides who will be invited??
