  1. I thought it was pretty awful until I saw Peeta. :(

  2. When you've read the books, you feel yourself so powerful with this teaser.

  3. Nice slow build up to the visual punchline. I can't wait to see these last 2 movies even though Mockingjay was by far the worst book of the three.

  4. I think the three books are great and I loved the bittersweet ending but I agree that Mockingjay is the weakest. Especially because the book drags out and nothing significant happens before Peeta shows up.

  5. It's definitely the most slow but for me it is also because Katniss is unbearable as a character for a full third of the book. I actually wanted Collins to stop focusing on her and switch to the other more fun characters instead. I firmly believe that the first part of the book should have followed Gayle and Prim's perspectives.

  6. Or Finnick ;) I agree that Katniss was terrible during the first part of the book. I get her depression and how out of touch she felt but I hated her selfish attitudes and the fact that she kept repeating the same mistakes all the time.

Most of that part felt like a filler.

  7. I can't wait to see the final two movies but the problem is it to took me a while to recover from the depression the last book caused me I don't want to live that again, even though it was my least favourite book of the trilogy but it really affected me especially Prim.

  8. FINALLY.... DAMN that thing in 4k is amazing... Mockingjay book is my second favorite after CF...b i really like how they built up Katniss emotional state after the events on CF....

  9. people hate the first part of the book cause it's too slow but i really enjoyed, Katniss emotional state was a wreck and the way the author put it it was great .. i really liked reading that... but i hope in the movies (or at least the first part) they change that a little and we can see more of the survivors and their torment.

  10. Ah yes, Finnick. How could I forget the fandom favorite? I think the author dwelled way too much on Katniss' depression. She needed to be affected of course, but it dragged too long. I agree that it was mostly filler to me so Ihope they shortchange it in the movie.

  11. To be honest while Katniss did need to be affected by all the previous events, they dragged it out so long and turned her so incompetent and whiny that it began to feel completely out of character to me. It was like the author had forgotten the core strength that had always been in Katniss and which had made her a character people would fight for. I understand where she was going with it and the dichotomy it made between her image and how she was really doing, but it didn't make for compelling reading for me and it sure won't make for a compelling movie.

  12. Oh I definitely loved the series as well. It is one of my favorite series in recent years. Mockingjay just felt like the character I can to love and root for died and an imposter was put in her place, but I wasn't supposed to know that that happened.
