I’ve always wondered never wondered quite what would happen if Jack Bauer went up against a drone, fully equipped with four Hellfire missiles. That’s purely because it’s never crossed my mind as a possible altercation. However, had I done so, I would have assumed that Jack would be triumphant. And I would have been proven right in this episode.

That was a fantastic action sequence. Seeing Jack driving through the streets of London to avoid missiles was a joy to watch. There was no way Jack was going to be outsmarted by a terrorist, especially not when it would lead to his, Kate and Simone’s death.

Still, the fact that it even happened is a testament to how evil Margot is. Prepared to kill her own daughter just to prevent her ‘operation’ from being compromised? She really is a psychopath. However, she may just be about to get her way.

I find it sad how much Heller is struggling with Alzheimer’s. I used to like his character so it’d be a shame to see him die. It’ll be interesting to see in the next episode whether or not he does surrender himself to Margot – it appeared that he had made up his mind, but I’m sure Jack will have something to say about it.

Surprise of the night (not) went to the reveal of Adrian Cross as the man talking to Navarro. But wait, there’s more! Cross is just a middle man, presumably between the Chinese and Navarro. I don’t think it’ll be long before he’s uncovered, especially after the failed killing of Jordan. I like Jordan, so hopefully he manages to survive and rat out Navarro.

Decrypting the CTU files:

  • Anyone else surprised by how easily Simone’s brother went along with killing her?
  • So, Chloe’s hideout was about to be raided. Next thing we know, 40 minutes later, she’s safe and sound. Come on show, some explanation please.
  • Mark is definitely running into trouble with the Russians.
  • I apologise for the lack of/lateness of/shortness of reviews lately. Unfortunately, I have been bogged down with other things which meant I didn’t have the time to get these reviews written. Luckily, I am now free for the foreseeable future, so reviews of the final five episodes should be on the site by Tuesday afternoons.
