V-Wars comic being developed for TV

23 May 2014

Entertainment One Television and IDW Entertainment are going to co-produce V-Wars, with Tim Schlattmann (Dexter, Smallville) set to write the pilot and executive produce.

The project, developed as direct-to-series, is the first from a recently struck first-look co-production agreement between the cross-border partners.

V-Wars is based on the IDW Publishing property written by Jonathan Maberry and portrays a world transformed by a catastrophic environmental event that releases a millennial-old virus.

V-Wars is set in a world transformed by a global pandemic caused by a millennial-old virus that, once triggered, affects individuals differently depending on their DNA. The result is vampires as unique as their cultures and a response from those unaffected humans like never seen before.

  1. WTF I thought TV was going through a much more appreciated witch phase.

  2. Yeah, but vampires, zombies, and people back from the dead, are still going strong it seems. Next horror craze: demons.

  3. Well, at least they're changing the vampire genre up a little bit.
