ReplyDeleteOmg that is so tough, I'm torn between Max Guevera, River Tam, Melinda and Faith. Melinda has the clinical precision, Max has added abilities as does River but Faith would just fight dirty and she is more of a scrapper.
ReplyDeleteI immediately thought Buffy, Faith and Xena but then I remembered River Tam took out all those Reavers in Serenity so I think she would win in the end as long as the crazy doesn't overwhelm her.

ReplyDeleteI admit that it's a bit of an unfair poll because superpowered fighters like Buffy, Xena and River have an advantage over the others. But I couldn't resist grouping all of these badass women together in one list.
Definitely Nikita, one of the awesomest, kickass characters, then Melinda May and Sara Lance.

ReplyDeleteNikita (Maggie Q) and River (Summer Glau) for me based on the actresses, not the characters on the list. They do their own fight scenes, weapon play, and most of their own stunts. They're both like the "Zhang Ziyi of North America" IMHO! The remainder of the list is "wire work", stunt doubles, and camera tricks in reality. Two "Slayers" versus cops, secret agents, and "masked super heroes"...........the match - ups on this list are just not fair. 4 EVER, Nobody!!!
ReplyDeleteBuffy/Faith they're slayers, extra strength, stamina and speed. And Xena because hey should could take on gods, how can she not win a steel cage match.
ReplyDeleteBuffy and Faith has the supernatural strength and training, River is programmed to kick ass. As much as I'd love to vote for my favorite spy Sydney Bristow, she got her ass handed to her by Quentin Tarantino.

ReplyDeleteThat's not entirely true. Quite a few additional characters here were/are played by actresses who do many of their own stunts, like Jennifer Garner, Yvonne Starhovski and Caity Lotz.

ReplyDeleteCertainly not Sara Lance/Canary. Despite being trained by the League of Assasins she regularly gets knocked out on Arrow and even by fighters who are far less experienced & have inferior training in martial arts.
ReplyDeleteNo ordinary human would have a chance against supernatural women so Buffy or Faith would likely come out on top, but Claire Bennett would have a chance because she would heal faster than everyone else.

Buffy and Faith for obvious reasons as they're both slayers and then Xena, and after that then maybe Sara Lance because she'd have better training than the other choices on here.
ReplyDeleteThe League of Assassins didn't train Bruce Wayne, but the man who trained Bruce(Kirigi) trained members of the League of Assassins. Also, Sara wasn't focused in her fight against Helena in the beginning of "Bird of Prey", and almost killed her in their rematch.
ReplyDeleteMax Guevera obviously! She's a genetically enhanced killing machine with military training, can move so fast that she blurs, has enhanced strength, agility and endurance, night and telescopic vision and supersensitive hearing! She could waste ANY of those others on the list!

ReplyDeleteyou really put some tough choices in there. I voted for Buffy,, Nikita, Melinda May, Sara Lance and Max. From the list Buffy is my no. 1 although I believe Melinda would win in the finale aginst Nikita. Sara L. and Max a very similar typs. Have not watched POI, Chuck, TWD or Firefly
