MONDAY

8:00-9:00 P.M. “THE ORIGINALS”

The first season of THE ORIGINALS brought the most formidable creature on earth, the Original vampire-werewolf hybrid Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan), back to his former home – the vibrant and supernaturally charged city of New Orleans. When he arrived, his siblings Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) not far behind, he was stunned to learn that werewolf Hayley Marshall (Phoebe Tonkin) was pregnant with his child. Though Elijah hoped that the news of a baby might help rebuild their fractured family, other forces threatened to destroy it further: namely, Marcel Gerard (Charles Michael Davis), Klaus’ beloved vampire protégé, whom the Originals thought to be long dead, and a dark secret that Marcel and Rebekah held for a century. The Originals and Hayley soon found themselves caught in a bloody war between vampires and witches, the stakes raised by a vengeful young witch, Davina (Danielle Campbell), and by Klaus’ surprising connection to Cami (Leah Pipes), a student with a painful past. Meanwhile, Hayley helped her exiled werewolf family return to the French Quarter, unaware that a ruthless pack of wolves was already lurking in the city, waiting to stage a violent coup on the vampires. As the first season came to a close, the werewolves decimated the vampire community while the witches made a horrific assassination attempt against Klaus and Hayley’s newborn daughter. Season two finds our heroes adjusting to a new status quo, with the newly empowered werewolves controlling the city, Klaus struggling to adjust to new weaknesses, and Elijah desperate to save Hayley, now a hybrid, from a vicious spiral of self-destruction. THE ORIGINALS is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with My So-Called Company, Alloy Entertainment, Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios. Julie Plec (“The Vampire Diaries,” “Kyle XY,” “Wasteland”) and Leslie Morgenstein (“The Vampire Diaries,” “Gossip Girl”) are executive producers.

9:00-10:00 P.M. “JANE THE VIRGIN”

When Jane Villanueva was a young girl, her grandmother, Alba, convinced her of two things: telenovelas are the highest form of entertainment, and women must protect their virginity at all costs. Now age 23, Jane is a driven young woman studying to become a teacher, nursing a dream to be a writer, and supporting herself with a job at a hot new Miami hotel. All the years of watching telenovelas with the two women who raised her – her sexy, young-at-heart mother, Xiomara, and her still-devout grandmother, Alba – have given Jane a slightly unrealistic view of romance. Still, she is determined not to make the same mistake her mother made – becoming an unwed mother at 16. Jane has managed to find a wonderful fiancé: a handsome, hard-working detective named Michael, who loves her enough to accept her detailed timeline for their future together and even her insistence on “saving herself” until they’re married. All of Jane’s meticulous life plans are turned upside down, however, when she sees her doctor for a routine check-up and is accidentally artificially inseminated with a specimen meant for the patient in the next room. Unbeknownst to her, the specimen belongs to Rafael, a reformed playboy and cancer survivor, who is not only the new owner of the hotel where Jane works but also a former summer crush of hers. A few weeks later, the unsuspecting Jane is faced with the most important decisions of her life. Will she continue with the pregnancy? How can she explain the situation to her fiancé and family? And what should she do about the wishes of the biological father, Rafael, and his scheming wife Petra? Though she has always tried to be the good girl who does the right thing, Jane’s life has suddenly become as dramatic and complicated as the telenovelas she has always loved. The series stars Gina Rodriguez (“Filly Brown,” “The Bold and the Beautiful”) as Jane, Justin Baldoni (“Single Ladies,” “The Bold and the Beautiful”) as Rafael, Brett Dier (“Ravenswood”) as Michael, Andrea Navedo (“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” “Golden Boy”) as Xiomara, Yael Grobglas (“Reign”) as Petra, Ivonne Coll (“Switched At Birth,” “The Bold and the Beautiful”) as Alba and Jaime Camil (“Devious Maids,” “Que pobres tan ricos”) as Rogelio. JANE THE VIRGIN is produced by CBS Television Studios and Warner Bros. Television, in association with Electus, with executive producers Jennie Snyder Urman (“Emily Owens, M.D.”), Ben Silverman (“The Biggest Loser”), Gary Pearl (“10.5: Apocalypse”), Jorge Granier (“Que el Cielo Me Explique”) and Brad Silberling (“Reign,” “City of Angels”). TUESDAY

8:00-9:00 P.M. “THE FLASH”

Barry Allen was just 11 years old when his mother was killed in a bizarre and terrifying incident and his father was falsely convicted of the murder. With his life changed forever by the tragedy, Barry was taken in and raised by Detective Joe West, the father of Barry’s best friend, Iris. Now, Barry has become a brilliant, driven and endearingly geeky CSI investigator, whose determination to uncover the truth about his mother’s strange death leads him to follow up on every unexplained urban legend and scientific advancement that comes along. Barry’s latest obsession is a cutting edge particle accelerator, created by visionary physicist Harrison Wells and his S.T.A.R. Labs team, who claim that this invention will bring about unimaginable advancements in power and medicine. However, something goes horribly wrong during the public unveiling, and when the devastating explosion causes a freak storm, many lives are lost and Barry is struck by lightning. After nine months in a coma, Barry awakens to find his life has changed once again – the accident has given him the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only “meta-human” who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion – and not everyone is using their new powers for good. In the months since the accident, the city has seen a sharp increase in missing people, unexplained deaths and other strange phenomena. Barry now has a renewed purpose – using his gift of speed to protect the innocent, while never giving up on his quest to solve his mother’s murder and clear his father’s name. For now, only a few close friends and associates know that Barry is literally the fastest man alive, but it won’t be long before the world learns what Barry Allen has become…The Flash. The series stars Grant Gustin (“Glee,” “Arrow”) as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton (“The Game”) as Iris West, Rick Cosnett (“The Vampire Diaries”) as Eddie Thawne, Danielle Panabaker (“Necessary Roughness,” “Justified”) as Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes (“Once” on Broadway ) as Cisco Ramon, with Tom Cavanagh (“Ed,” “Eli Stone”) as Harrison Wells and Jesse L. They even came face to face with Lucifer and the Four Horsemen in averting the Apocalypse. With the help of allies — both human and supernatural — they’ve discovered that every threat they vanquish opens a new door for evil to enter in. 8:00-9:00 P.M. “ARROW”

After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. He returned home to Starling City, bent on righting the wrongs of his family and fighting injustice. To do this, he creates the persona of the Arrow and allies himself with former military man John Diggle (David Ramsey), computer-science expert Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), street brawler Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) and international assassin Sara Lance (Caity Lotz), while keeping his secret from those closest to him including his sister Thea (Willa Holland), who has allied herself with his most deadly enemy. 9:00-10:00 P.M. “THE 100”

Season one of THE 100 saw the human race return, after a 97-year exile in space, to a wildly transformed Earth...only to discover that the human race had never truly left. Clarke (Eliza Taylor) found herself forced to lead a band of disposable juvenile delinquents as they faced death at every turn – from a world transformed by radiation, from the fierce Grounders who somehow managed to survive in it, and, perhaps worst of all, from themselves. Alternately challenged and supported by rival leader Bellamy (Bob Morley), the two found common purpose: Survival. Through it all, Finn (Thomas McDonell) was helplessly drawn to Clarke, destroying his long-standing relationship with the brilliant young mechanic, Raven (Lindsey Morgan). Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) got close to a possible enemy Grounder, Lincoln (Ricky Whittle) -- some say too close. Meanwhile, as The 100 fought for their lives on the ground, The Ark's situation was no better. Though Abby (Paige Turco) believed that The 100 were still alive, she didn’t have proof and couldn’t stop Kane’s (Henry Ian Cusick) population reduction. The killing of 320 volunteers and the subsequent realization that it was in error broke Kane and enflamed a revolution on the Ark that Chancellor Jaha (Isaiah Washington), despite his best efforts, was powerless to stop. Both on the ground and in space, the final episodes will reveal the true desperation of their plight, as our heroes risked everything just to stay alive. Noble sacrifices and heartbreaking choices changed everyone forever and left them scattered to the wind. The epic second chapter picks up with the newly returned human race desperate to be reunited. Season two’s quest will challenge them beyond anything they have faced before. Hearts will be broken. Lives will be lost. Heroes will be born. Based on the book series by Kass Morgan, THE 100 is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Alloy Entertainment, Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios with executive producers Jason Rothenberg (upcoming “Twilight Zone” feature), Leslie Morgenstein (“The Vampire Diaries”) and Gina Girolamo (“The Lying Game”).

THURSDAY

8:00-9:00 P.M. “THE VAMPIRE DIARIES”

Season five of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES began with a sense of hope for Elena (Nina Dobrev). After a passionate summer with Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Elena headed to Whitmore College with Caroline (Candice Accola), not knowing that Bonnie (Kat Graham) sacrificed her life to save Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen). As Bonnie’s friends fought to bring her back to life as the Anchor to the Other Side, Stefan (Paul Wesley) had to face-off with his doppelganger Silas, and a newly human Katherine (Nina Dobrev) struggled with mortality and motherhood. Damon’s relationship with Elena was put to the test when Enzo (guest star Michael Malarkey), an old vampire friend from Damon’s past, revealed he was still alive and looking for revenge. Stefan and Caroline’s friendship deepened as they stood up to the Travelers, a nomadic witch tribe driven to strip Mystic Falls of magic and cast out its supernatural residents. Finally, having lost his town and fearing losing his loved ones on the crumbling Other Side, Damon made a huge sacrifice to bring them all back – to catastrophic results. While the cliffhanger will send our characters reeling, season six will be the story of their journey back to each other as they explore the duality of good versus evil inside themselves on their quest to reclaim their home. Based on the series of books by L. J. Smith,THE VAMPIRE DIARIES is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Outerbanks Entertainment, Alloy Entertainment, Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios. The series was developed by Kevin Williamson (“The Following,” “Scream”) & Julie Plec (“The Originals,” “Kyle XY,” “Wasteland”), who serve as executive producers along with Leslie Morgenstein (“Gossip Girl,” “Pretty Little Liars”) and Caroline Dries (“Melrose Place,” “Smallville”).

9:00-10:00 P.M. “REIGN”

Over the course of the stormy first season of REIGN, Mary, Queen of Scots (Adelaide Kane) struggled to balance her many roles — as Queen of Scotland; as faithful friend to her ladies in waiting; as royal fiancée, and later as young wife to the future King of France, Francis (Toby Regbo). Challenges came in every form: the reigning Queen Consort of France, Francis’s mother, Catherine de Medici (Megan Follows), did everything she could to destroy the union of Mary and Francis, even if that meant taking Mary’s life. Francis and Mary were both torn by their duties to their respective nations, paving the way for Mary to form a close bond with Bash (Torrance Coombs), Francis’s illegitimate brother, who could offer Mary a level of devotion the future king could not. King Henry (Alan Van Sprang) descended into madness, and a bloodthirsty menace in the woods threatened those within the Castle and beyond the Castle's walls, taking dozens of lives before it was ultimately annihilated. REIGN begins its second season with Mary and Francis at the helm of a nation burning. France is rocked by the after effects of the plague – a disease that takes thousands upon thousands of lives across the land and ravages the stability of a nation. From the ashes, powerful lords will rise, carrying out personal, religious and political vendettas, taking lives and tearing at Mary and Francis’ commitment to each other and to their people. Friendships will be tested, loved ones murdered and alliances betrayed. Meanwhile, a mysterious and deadly threat snatches victims from village streets and Castle corridors, leaving evidence of savagery that looks like the work of monsters: mythical creatures who are the stuff of nightmares, but who may actually walk among us, doing the Devil’s bidding. REIGN is produced by CBS Television Studios and Whizbang Films/Take 5 Productions with executive producers Laurie McCarthy (“The Ghost Whisperer”), Frank Siracusa (“Beauty And The Beast”), John Weber (“Beauty And The Beast”) and Brad Silberling (“Moonlight Mile”).

FRIDAY

8:00-8:30 P.M. “WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY?”

Hosted by comedian Aisha Tyler, WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY? features cast members Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady and Colin Mochrie, who helped make the original U.S. version of this comedy improv series such a hit. Along with a special guest comedian in each episode, the cast members must put their comedic skills to the test through a series of spontaneous improv games. Prompted only by random ideas supplied by the studio audience and host Aisha Tyler, our four performers must use the little information they have and their wild imaginations to depict different characters and an array of scenes, as well as perform songs. After each round of improvisation, Aisha will dole out points to our four performers and declare a winner at the end of every episode. Based on the wildly successful U.K. format, which also spawned a previous incarnation in the US that ran for eight seasons on ABC, WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY? is executive produced by Dan Patterson, Mark Leveson, Jimmy Mulville, Ryan Stiles and Wayne Brady. Co-created by Dan Patterson and Mark Leveson, “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” is from Angst Productions and Hat Trick Productions.

MIDSEASON

“iZOMBIE”

Olivia “Liv” Moore was a rosy-cheeked, disciplined, over-achieving medical resident who had her life path completely mapped out…until the night she attended a party that unexpectedly turned into a zombie feeding frenzy. As one of the newly undead, Liv is doing her best to blend in and look as human as possible. Her appearance now passes for “Goth,” with shockingly pale skin and nearly white hair, and her demeanor has gone from exuberant to exhausted. The change in Liv is baffling to her mother, her former fiancé, Major, and her best friend and roommate, Peyton, who still has the high-energy, Type-A personality that Liv has completely abandoned. Despite her post-traumatic ennui, Liv has devised a way to resist her baser urges to devour fresh human brains – she’s taken a job in the Seattle coroner’s office. In this appropriately dead-end job, Liv can secretly snack on the brains of the many Jane and John Doe corpses that make a final stop in the morgue. Despite carefully covering her tracks, Liv’s boss, Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti, discovers her secret and is surprisingly excited about the scientific possibilities. Even with her boss’ enthusiasm, Liv remains resigned to an eternity without hope or purpose, until she realizes that with every brain she consumes, she retains a portion of that person’s memories. Liv begins to experience visions from the point of view of the murder victims. Much to the surprise of Dr. Ravi and homicide detective Clive Babineaux, Liv often has detailed knowledge of crime scenes and motives that she can’t easily explain. Posing as a psychic, she works with Detective Babineaux to investigate these crimes and discover who is responsible. It’s not the same as being alive again, but at least Liv can find purpose in her undead existence by helping Clive solve the murders of those who are indeed fully dead. The series stars Rose McIver (“Masters of Sex,” “Once Upon A Time”) as Liv, Malcolm Goodwin (“Breakout Kings”) as Clive Babineaux, newcomer Rahul Kohli as Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti, Robert Buckley (“One Tree Hill”) as Major Lilywhite, Alexandra Krosney (“Last Man Standing”) as Peyton Charles, David Anders (“Once Upon A Time,” “The Vampire Diaries”) as Blaine DeBeers and Nora Dunn (“Entourage,” “Saturday Night Live”) as Eva Moore. Based upon characters created by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred, and published by DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint,iZOMBIE is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Spondoolie Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Rob Thomas (“Veronica Mars,” “Party Down,” “Cupid”), Diane Ruggiero-Wright (“Veronica Mars,” “The Ex List,” “That’s Life”), Danielle Stokdyk (“Veronica Mars,” “Party Down,” “Cupid”) and Dan Etheridge (“The Carrie Diaries,” “Veronica Mars,” “Party Down”). The pilot was directed by Rob Thomas.

“THE MESSENGERS”

“And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.”

(Revelation 9)

In the white-hot sun of the New Mexico desert, scientist Vera Ivanov watches in fascination as a mysterious object plummets to Earth and explodes in a blinding flash, sending out a shock wave that briefly stops her heart. But Vera is not the only one affected by the blast: she is instantly and mysteriously connected to four other strangers, who also collapse only to miraculously come back to life hours later. Erin, a young mother desperate to protect her 7-year-old daughter from an abusive ex-husband; Peter, a troubled high school student who finally lashes out to end the constant bullying he can no longer endure; Raul, a federal agent looking to escape his undercover assignment in a violent Mexican drug cartel; and Joshua, Jr., a charismatic second-generation televangelist following in his father’s footsteps – all awaken after the pulse with powers they can barely believe, from inexplicable strength to the ability to heal others. Most mysterious of all is the figure known only as The Man, who offers Vera the one thing she wants most in life – to be reunited with her kidnapped son – if she will help him with one morally complicated task. That task puts Vera on a collision course with nurse Rose Arvale who, after a seemingly random act of violence left her in a coma for seven years, suddenly begins to stir. As Joshua, Jr. prophesizes, the wheels of Revelation have begun to turn, and this group of strangers might be the only hope for preventing the impending Rapture…or causing it. The series stars Shantel VanSanten (“Gang Related,” “One Tree Hill”) as Vera, Jon Fletcher (“City of Dreams”) as Joshua Jr., Sofia Black-D’Elia (“Betrayal,” “Gossip Girl”) as Erin, JD Pardo (“Revolution”) as Raul, Joel Courtney (“Super 8”) as Peter, Anna Diop (“Everybody Hates Chris”) as Rose and Diogo Morgado (“Son of God,” “Sol de Inverno”) as The Man. Beauty And The Beast

Finally breaking free of Muirfield, manhunts and beasts, Detective Catherine Chandler (Kristin Kreuk) and Vincent Keller (Jay Ryan) are able to focus on their love. However, that love will be tested as new and more dangerous threats await. When they learn that innocent victims are being used to test the boundaries of the impossible, Cat and Vincent will uncover a deeper conspiracy, one which Vincent can fight only by turning to the beast he carries within. But unleashing the beast will risk Vincent’s life – along with his and Cat's love – as they struggle to build a normal life together. BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Take 5 Productions/Whizbang Films with executive producers Brad Kern (“Charmed”), Bill Haber (“Rizzoli & Isles,” “Thurgood”), Paul J. Hart Of Dixie

Rachel Bilson leads a stellar ensemble cast in this fish-out-of-water comedic drama about small-town living, big city attitudes and complicated love triangles. After three years, Dr. Zoe Hart (Rachel Bilson) is starting to feel at home in BlueBell, Alabama, and still continues to shake up life in this small town. Though they are no longer a couple, Zoe still finds herself drawn to bad boy Wade Kinsella (Wilson Bethel), and she and Wade continue to be friends with George Tucker (Scott Porter), who is still trying to figure his love life. Lemon Breeland (Jaime King) continues to pursue her dream of being a business owner, while always on the lookout for her true love. Zoe’s best friend and landlord, Mayor Lavon Hayes (Cress Williams), is determined to keep BlueBell the quaint town everyone has come to love, while AnnaBeth (Kaitlyn Black) has come into her own by co-running the local women’s social club, the Belles. After her difficult return to their shared medical practice, Zoe’s personal and professional relationship with Dr. Brick Breeland (Tim Matheson) seems to have gotten to a better place. Zoe’s love life is still a mess, and she’s not sure what the future holds in store for her, but we know it will be juicy and full of fun. Hart Of Dixie is from Bonanza Productions Inc., in association with Fake Empire, Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios with executive producers Leila Gerstein (“Gossip Girl,” “Eli Stone”), Josh Schwartz (“Gossip Girl,” “Chuck,” “The O.C.”), Stephanie Savage (“Gossip Girl,” “The O.C.”) and Len Goldstein.

  12. 2015 midseason + Beauty and the Beast

    ReplyDelete
  13. No iZombie in Fall? Seriously? I hate this!

    ReplyDelete
  14. I'm glad The Flash has been paired with Supernatural. It worked well when they paired Arrow with it. Sucks that The Messengers is mid season though.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Supernatural isn't an 8pm show

    ReplyDelete
  16. Happy to see The 100 get the post Arrow slot again and I love The Flash/Supernatural pairing. Damn, I was hoping iZombie or The Messengers would get a spot on the fall schedule.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I should hope not. I think 13 is enough.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I can't believe that I will have to wait until 2015 to watch Hart of Dixie. This sucks.

    ReplyDelete
  19. osman babayiğit15 May 2014 at 13:14

Does it mean Hart of Dixie will have 13 episodes next season?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Not that I'm gonna watch it but at least Flash isn't against AoS so comic fans can watch both if they wish.

    ReplyDelete
  21. why is iZombie, The Messengers and HOD all in the midseason? (don't really like this schedule!)

anyway, imho, I think Jane The Virgin will be pulled and one of the others takes its spot!

    ReplyDelete
  22. EuphemiaWonderland15 May 2014 at 13:18

My guess is that if it does well it will get the back 9.

    ReplyDelete
  23. probably, most likely. it'll probably be the last. and B&TB will probably be on Friday with HOD in the midseason.

    ReplyDelete
  24. To much kept for midseason, I assume BatB & Hod will fill in Friday nights.
For midseason Reign could with The Originals, as I don't see Jane succeeding at this time slot, and iZombie taking the spot.
The Messengers should replace The 100, as it was announced as a "short" season show.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I hope The Originals work well on monday. Excited for Arrow, The Originals, Flash and iZombie.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Glad they are moving The Originals.. makes it easier for me to watch. Plus it won't ne competing with PalL anymore. I think it will do well on Mondays.

    ReplyDelete
  27. That's a good schedule. For once they moved something else (The Originals) instead of SPN. And they finally gave up on trying to launch a new series out of TVD. Reign does okay there, they kept it in place. That's wise. Flash/SPN could recreate the magic of Arrow/SPN last year, although Flash will have to compete with NCIS which is no mean feat... presumably Flash will skew male, like SHIELD which suffered from competing with NCIS.

    ReplyDelete
  28. So i guess having to wait for almost 3 months for the return of BATB this season and having to wait until January 2015 for the return of BATB next season is a way to build up the viewership and improve the ratings.

    ReplyDelete
  29. They should've kept the originals on Tuesdays! And The Flash with SPN, ummm does that sound weird to anyone else?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Eidnoreid Pills15 May 2014 at 13:37

    It looks like midseason.

    ReplyDelete
  31. so does HOD not need 22 for syndication? unless they plan to have a 13 episode season and then maybe an even shorter final one? ithink all the rules everyone is speaking about dont really hold true for the cw. i am glad cause BATB was renewed but still do not make sense of i tall

    ReplyDelete
  32. whoa Hart of Dixie won't return until 2015???! just no -.-

    ReplyDelete
  33. Only CBS put my favorite pilot in Fall

Im really mad they put iZombie for mid-season. If they changed iZombie with Jane, i think it would be their strongest schedule ever.

But still, this schedule can do very good.

I assume that one of the BatB/HoD will return after ANTM is done and the other in January when WLIIA is done. The Messenger will probably be paired with Arrow after short season of The 100 is done. And iZombie will most likely replace Jane and if Jane is successful i can see them sending Reign to Fridays and pairing iZombie with TVD

    ReplyDelete
  34. Everyone thought that Nikita needed full season too and it got only 6. I think that there are exceptions and not every show need 88 episodes

    ReplyDelete
  35. Pedowitz won't comment on the episode orders for Hart of Dixie and Beauty & the Beast --'

    ReplyDelete
  36. EuphemiaWonderland15 May 2014 at 13:44

No. Both are male skewing/actions shows. The Flash and SPN airing together makes sense.

    ReplyDelete
  37. also i am very happy that the are promoting Jane as a comedy. After all it could be very good show

Do they usually announce it immediately how many episodes will their shows have? Or if they have last season? Im curious because of The 100, HOD and B&TB

    ReplyDelete
  38. Can't wait for Beauty and Beast midseason 2015, great!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think it will get 13 episodes and be replaced by The Messengers midseason. I really hope they keep The 100 at 13 episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I would've preferred pairing The Flash with Arrow and moving Arrow to the 9PM hour.. I think it would have benefitted both shows.

Interesting that both iZombie and The Messengers are saved to midseason. I thougt iZombie would be in the fall schedule..

Caity Lotz is listed in Arrow's press release. I wonder if they will now announce her promotion. Kaity is interestingly not listed..

    ReplyDelete
  41. Because both shows are strong enough to self start.

    ReplyDelete
  42. TheShiftyShadow15 May 2014 at 13:47

Yeah, I'm confused about how many episodes I want. I've never seen a full 22 episode season of anything where all 22 eps were of the same high quality. They're burning through story fast in these 13 episodes, would a 22 episode season mean a lot of filler episodes?
I don't think they'd put a 13 episode show in their fall schedule though, would they? Like if they knew for sure it's only going to be 13 episodes, more likely they'd keep it for mid season. Probably, as EuphemiaWonderland says they'll be looking to give it a back 9 if it goes well.

    ReplyDelete
  43. SPN have more female than male viewers. Arrow had almost double the male viewers SPN had their last weeks paired together and I imagine The Flash would be the same.

    ReplyDelete
  44. The Venezuelan show which Jane the Virgin is a adaptation of seems to have a lot of remakes in different languages. There was one in my country as well which was moderately successful but that was 8-9 years ago. I don't really know how much interest it will generate among CW audience though.
I love Arrow but I don't think I'll be tuning into The Flash. I hope it works well even though I wasn't very thrilled with the first look. Then again, better to wait for the actual promo.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Really glad about The 100's spot in fall, I just hope they keep it at 13 episodes and replace it with The Messengers when it's done. I was hoping to see The Messengers in the fall but a 13 episode season for The Messengers would be better than 22 imo. So The Messengers taking The 100's spot would work really well for them I think.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Great, Monday I wanted to watch Gotham but now The Orignals was moved errrrr. I don't watch or don't plan on watching at all on Tuesday or Wednesday. Cutting down on my CW!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Just a hunch - when Jane flops, CW will put BATB back there. It will be done by February, so they can put iZombie there.
They left too many shows for midseason. Its gonna be interesting to see where they place all of them.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Yeah, that was the only one I was interested in.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I can see HOD + BATB on Mondays. The Messangers replacing The 100 and iZombie replacing Jane the Virgin or if it is successful, sending Reign to Fridays and debut iZombie after TVD

    ReplyDelete
  50. Oh crap, I forgot they moved SHIELD to 9 PM. My poor boys!

    ReplyDelete
  51. So Catiy Lotz being listed in the PR...series regular status for S3?

    ReplyDelete
  52. I would be so much happier if they had put The Originals behind Vampire Diaries.

I'm glad The 100 will be back. And Arrow.

Doesn't look like I'll be watching any of the new shows.

    ReplyDelete
  53. If it was I'm afraid it would have been announced in the PR above like two and a half men was. I think. Maybe not. I sort of want it to be the final season as well.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I'm glad that The Vampire Diaries was kept on Thursdays. What works should be left alone, and I think a lot of people got used to it being on that night. I lost interest in Reign a long time ago, but maybe I'll check out some of the new shows when they debut in 2015. I might try to catch up on Heart of Dixie. I really did like that show. I just didn't have time to watch it for a while. I don't think The Flash will last very long, regardless of what night it falls on or what show it's paired with. It's really a bummer that the Supernatural spin-off wasn't picked up. I would have watched that show. This is the first I've heard of iZombie or Jane the Virgin. I might try watching Jane the Virgin because I would like to see another comedy, but I think there's enough zombie stuff out there.

Tonight's TVD finale and Season 6 look sort of bleak. I'm excited about watching it, but it looks like the cliffhanger will leave something to be desired. I don't care about character deaths as long as the characters who die stay dead. Maybe I'm misinterpreting the synopsis. I'll just wait and see.

    ReplyDelete
  55. That's what I was going to write after I saw that! I hope so because she has really developed during the season.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Claireholt4ever15 May 2014 at 14:25

Am I the only one worried about The Originals?

    ReplyDelete
  57. EuphemiaWonderland15 May 2014 at 14:27

If Jane flops iZombie or The Messengers will take its place.

    ReplyDelete
  58. EuphemiaWonderland15 May 2014 at 14:30

TO did well against The Voice and PLL so I'm not that worried. Also most of the family is back now so I can see a stronger second season.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I am surprised they moved The Originals to Monday considering it's a relatively new show. I thought they'd move SPN there.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Claireholt4ever15 May 2014 at 14:36

    I hope so *fingers crossed*

    ReplyDelete
  61. I was freaking out about SPN going up against Sleepy Hollow...which to watch live?! But now I'm safe.

    ReplyDelete
  62. But now SPN faces AoS which i completely forgot about.Though i agree airing against sleepy hollow was a worse idea.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Yes! The 100 is starting this fall! This means MORE EPISODES!
    Excited for The Flash!
The Originals on Monday with that horrid show?! Eh.... Hope it still does well and get's a 3rd season. I need more Joseph Morgan.
Mid-season shows should be entertaining. I'll definitely watch both.
It seems I'll be tuning in only on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Oh, AoS is going to hurt in the ratings for sure, but I don't watch AoS so my Tuesday night is healthy. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  65. Jane The Virgin sounds terrible. I don't even know why they decided to pick it up.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I don't really like this schedule. The Originals is gonna be up against Voice, DWTS, Big Bang Theory and other CBS comedies. And lets not forget ABC Family and VH1 shows. Jane The Virgin is done for. SPN up against SHIELD? And TVD will be slaughtered up against Greys Anatomy. Reign against Scandal??? And why leave iZombie for midseason? I don't think CW will have that good of a season next year.

    ReplyDelete
  67. TVD was never gonna move this year no matter who aired in that slot, maybe next year for it's final season.Let's not forget it's the most difficult slot,TVD is going up against TBBT for years, why stop now.If i were you-i would worry about TO.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I really hope The 100 doesnt have more episodes. I think it will have 13 and then The Messengers will take its place.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Supernatural Final Season??? Our little show makes me proud and happy with 10 super seasons and I hope that ends in 10. Want seeing on the big screen the talent of Jensen :D and Jared for this they must either leave the series. :)

    ReplyDelete
  70. Oh, I guess that makes sense. LOL I got my hopes up. xD
The Messengers sounds interesting. I can't wait to see the first promo.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I really hope Reign doesn't get hurt too much by Scandal....

    ReplyDelete
  72. So happy for Arrow and The 100, hope they will get a full season. TVD Thursday as always, nice! But I am also in for The Flash and The Originals!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Same, I have high hopes for The Messengers :) There seem to be a lot of angel-y type shows coming, Constantine, The Messengers, Dominion...im looking forward to them all though!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Brandy Danforth15 May 2014 at 16:02

I hate this schedule -TO paied with Jane with? Totally incompatible .Why move TO?It risks hurting it moving it so early and putting it against similarly female skewing shows like Voice,Dancing, abcfamily shows.Im kinda suprised kinda not Reign kept the VD slot.I hate having to wait til Midseason for HoD,BatB,IZombie.Im very suprised IZombie wasn't in fall as IMHO ,only it and Flash have a chance at being sucsessful .Hate that 100 is in fall and hope it dosent get more than 13 episodes.I guess BatB,HoD take over Fri when ANTM & WL finish.Have they said how many episodes HoD,BatB,The 100 will have?Im suprised they didn't with HoD/BatB what they did with GG & Nikita -air em in fall, get em done and off the schedule and not have to deal with spring declines making already awful ratings worse.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Funny how Caity is listed and Kaity isn't

    ReplyDelete
  76. Christina Sherwood15 May 2014 at 16:05

Its going to crash & burn so freaking hard! I have no idea what those morons were thinking! This sounds like some family friendly ABC type gabage & has no place on the CW with all the paranormal/comic book shows. They are delusional to think that anyone who watches The Originals will want to watch that tripe. If they wanted to try out this garbage show then they should've waited & paired it with HoD because it would stand a slightly better chance with that audience. Paired with The Originals, really!? I mean REALLY?

    ReplyDelete
  77. I'm wondering if we'll get a series regular announcement. I heard an internet rumor that they're going to make the announcement at Comic Con but I don't know.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Yeah but Katie C is at the upfronts and Caity Lo isn't so it's all very confusing.

    ReplyDelete
  79. No Shield is moving to 9pm next season:)

    ReplyDelete
  80. Eh, guess it makes sense for "male shows"

    ReplyDelete
  81. Yeah I don't either. Especially the iZombie/Messengers hold up. I really wanted to see these in the fall.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Jane The Virgin 0.0

Supernatural X Agents of shield It is not good idea

    ReplyDelete
  83. Pérola Cardozo Alves15 May 2014 at 17:21

I'm not betting on Jne, the virgin, seems like it would fit Lifetime better, so I think they will eventually bring Hart early to fill the hole of the first early cancellation of CW in a good time.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Just glad SPN was left alone on the schedule. I LOVE having it on Tuesday nights!!!

    ReplyDelete
  85. Christina Sherwood15 May 2014 at 19:01

I just saw the promo on here & it looks just as horrible/stupid as we think its going to be. Ugh, such a waste! Maybe we'll get lucky & they'll pull it & bump up iZombie or Messengers :D

    ReplyDelete
  86. I think they need to switch TO to 9:00 or they should have left it where it was paired with Supernatural.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Nope. That was one of the worst possible places to put it and pairing it with that horrid new show won't help.

    ReplyDelete
  88. i also it would get hurt badly.Good for reign for retaining that slot, otherwise cancellation was imminent!!!

    ReplyDelete
  89. SHIELDNCISArrowfan15 May 2014 at 20:00

I want to know about Paul Blackthorne status too.... they would give us some good new at comic con?

    ReplyDelete
  90. I take it Tommorow People and Star Crossed got canceled then. No big loss on Star Crossed, I never watched a single ep of it, lol. Sorry for peeps that liked it though! Too bad about The Tomorrow People, I liked that one much more then The 100. I thought Hard of Dixie already got the axe and this was it's final season? I'm not mad, I love the quirkiness of the show but I thought it was done already.

    ReplyDelete
  91. SHIELDNCISArrowfan15 May 2014 at 20:00

they also missing Paul Backthorne so I wonder what with that?

    ReplyDelete
  92. It would be better off paired with Hart of Dixie or even Reign.

    ReplyDelete
  93. I know a lot of ladies appreciate the Winchesters and their personal trenchcoated Angel, myself included. Bow Chicka Wow Wow.

    ReplyDelete
  94. The same amount of content air on every day of the week. By your logic, put it on Saturdays so it won't have any competition.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Supernatural's gonna end up with the tenth season being it's final just for the simple fact of it's gonna be going up against Agents of SHIELD and I've already seen too many people say that if that happened then it was SHIELD all the way. I hate this because I'm not a fan of AoS, but I'm not seeing how SPN will fair against it...

    ReplyDelete
  96. Dumb question: does this mean that the 100 will return for 20 something episodes run??
    Please please say YES!

virgin show - i only read half the description, too much stupid overwhelmed me.
1 she is 23 but she is only studying to become a teacher???? WTH? did she have to repeat any grade couple of times? I graduated at 21 from university. And most other people do too.
2 she is 23 but she is afraid she will repeat her mom's mistake and become unwed mom at 16?? congratulations Jane you are 7 years late.
    that's it, i couldn't read any more.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Good, maybe it will get cancelled and we will be saved from having to watch "Hayley viciously spiralling into self-destruction"
    A girl can dream.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I think he's fine. If they were going to kill him off they would have confirmed his death in the finale.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Might just not want to confirm his involvement. Him collapsing is really the only major cliffhanger the show had.

    ReplyDelete
  100. While this article is about The CW, I think it's SHIELD the original commentator is worried about.

    ReplyDelete
  101. I sure do!! I love my SPN family. Blissful sigh, Ohh Cas. = )

    ReplyDelete
  102. No Beauty and the Beast then? Sad. :(

    ReplyDelete
  103. Hello everybody. It concerns me that Hart of Dixie gets a midseason start! It's a great show and in many countries! Unfortunally the writers made a bad turn from S3E1 till E16!!! Don't let us fans be punished for the "to long in the show Joel Mistake". Im sure if the writers go back to the writing as in S1+2 and the end of S3, the fans will be running back again! Its not only Zade (but it's a big part) but there are so much storielines to persue with great actors! (Lemons mom and love live, Levon, AB, George, pff all the cast that is there now (no Joel!!) Please give us a full 4th season!. You could start midseason (preferably not) but if you do, give us 2 episodes per night! Look at the Facebook site, there are so many fans who from all over the world who really love the show and stuck by it, allthough it sucked this season!
Thanks for listening from Amsterdam, Holland!

    ReplyDelete
  104. I don't watch TO so it isn't about that but I do think Mondays are tougher than most other nights. Besides the other competitive shows there are The Voice, Dancing with the Stars and The Bachelor. At least last year they were big competition for the CW shows.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Brandy Danforth16 May 2014 at 03:05

Not gonna happen.CW loves Reign and won't move it especially to fri.HoD & BatB are going into malmost certainlly thier final seasons and are too low rated to justify not being on fri plus CW moved HoD to fri this season for a reason, they're not not gonna move it back.I agree about Messengers replacing The 100 but IZombie will probably replace Jane.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Well, this move doesn't look good for The Originals, i mean, mondays are the death slot for CW. Besides, to much competition. Very risky shot!

    ReplyDelete
  107. I loved to see Caity's name in the PR!

    ReplyDelete
  108. LOL if you say so.

    ReplyDelete
  109. It's the CW so even getting 0.6-0.7 in this timeslot would be considered a success for them. I think The Originals will do good enough for the CW in that timeslot, but I can't say the same about Jane..

    ReplyDelete

    Midseason 2015

    ReplyDelete
  111. Brandy Danforth16 May 2014 at 16:13

Both Originals and Jane are very female skewing shows, thats why they're pair even if they're incompatible .CW said there's a point of oversaturation of genre shows on there and after next season, they'll move back to family programming.CW also said he won't completely non genre female skewing shows. They also weren't gonna premire Jane a new scripted show on Fri,which is where HoD ll be next season.I actually will watch TO & give Jane a try,

    ReplyDelete
  112. That's too long. :(

    ReplyDelete
  113. Christina Sherwood17 May 2014 at 18:33

Well if they go back to Family Friendly crap they will lose the ground they have gained, this is their best viewership in 3 years. I think tou are referring to the head invester that was flapping his mouth at the upfronts a few days ago, he is a complete moron because he didnt even care that the this had been thier best year in a long while. I know i watch CW more than any other network BECAUSE of the paranormal genre shows, if they start dropping in garbage like Jane the Virgin then the network will crash & burn. Genre show are what everyone is watching & interested in, they want to see more not less.

    ReplyDelete
  114. There cancellation was announced a couple of days before the schedule was released.

    ReplyDelete
  115. HoD needed another season for syndication as netflix prefers shows that have an ending. CW could give the show a proper ending in less than 22 episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Who in their right mind thought pairing up Jane the Virgin with The Originals was a good idea? I want to know! I get wanting to give the show a chance and not shoving over to Fridays paired with either Whose Line or ANTM, but it's THOSE two shows with which it's more compatible. *eyeroll*
I'm disappointed. What I really liked last season about the CW was that the blocks contained shows that complimented each other.
    This schedule, is very erratic...

Also, I think all the interesting shows are being held for midseason, but whatevs....

    ReplyDelete
  117. Brandy Danforth22 June 2014 at 18:44

No I wasn't talking about the Tribune CEO or whoever.I was talking about Pedowitz saying at the TCAs when asked about Lauren Grahms pilot"Unfamous" he said "there's a point of oversaturation of genre and well move back to family programming. Were nearly there".Just cause YOU like genre shows dosent mean EVERYONE does.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Brandy Danforth22 June 2014 at 18:46

No, there's too many shows for Midseason and the showrunners said they prefer to keep it at 13 episodes and Deadline said twice it got less than 22 episodes.

    ReplyDelete

This past season = Mostly Genre shows
This past season = Highest viewership in 3 years

It's not rocket science, I'm far from the only one who favors the genre shows.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Brandy Danforth23 June 2014 at 15:26

Yes and look at this past season of genre shows
VD is declining rapidly,Arrow declined too,TO declined,TTP started high then collapsed,Star-Crossed started and stayed very low-all genre shows.Secret Circle a few years started high but declined all season loosing half it's audience.BatB did ok in season one but collapsed in season two,Cult was a flop right away,Nikita barely lasted four seasons and was never a ratings hit even by cw standards.TVLine Jan 23,2014 Pedowitz said "at some point, there will be a point of oversaturation of genre and we' ll move back to family genre. It feels like we're nearly there".The highest rated season in three years was only for fall, not for spring/the whole season.I didn't say you were the only one that favors genre shows ,just that not everyone does.CW needs to have more than one type of programming to be sucsessful"It's like males complaining when they only had girly/teen soap shows on.Secondly, why do you think CW kept HoD,Carrie past season one with less than great ratings if they only wanted genre shows? Why did CW pick up Jane instead of SPN:Bloodlines if they only wanted genre shows? There were also several non-genre shows in delopment for them this past season:Unfamous,Painted Girls,Perfectionists,Revengers,Star-Crazy to name a few.

\outl0\strokewidth0 \strokec2 Yep VD is declining soooooo horribly it got a spin off show & is still the biggest ratings drawer for the network. Just because the genre shows show a bit of a decline doesn't mean anything because that's how alot of shows on all networks progress. Big ratings in the fall, slow decline through to spring & then a hike back up for finales if the show is good. The genre shows are still the network's bread & butter, they still do 2-3 times better than HoD & will no doubt crush Jane in ratings as well. All you have to do is read any of the many TV blogger's out there to know that they all think Jane is steaming pile of a concept & is very likely going to fail epically.\
    \
    Bloodlines didn't get picked up because it didn't go over with the Supernatural fans aka the target guaranteed audience not because Jane was better than it, totally different audience. Why did they keep HoD? Because it does decently & is funny, I watch it too not just the genre shows. As for all those other shows they had in development: they werent picked up because they weren't as good as what was....just because Jane was on the top of crap pile doesn't make it smell any better. They wanted a non genre show, it was apparently the best of what was offered. }

  123. Regarding Beauty and the Beast season 3. So far, IMO! Season 1 was amazing, Season 2 was a bust so Season 3 needs to top season 1. That will only happen if Vincent and Catherine are together not apart. I sincerely hope the show runner actually learned a thing or two this year. I sincerely hope we don't have to go back to Vincent choosing his beast side for awhile as we already did that this year- along with the love triangles, along with figuring out who they are individually. We spent all season with Gabe being the focal point of the show so hopefully now the show runner has finally learned that what makes this show successful is VinCAT TOGETHER not apart. No we don't have to see them all over each other all the time, though some would be nice as we basically got nothing really in season 2-, but they still need to be a couple. We need some romance and we need some women being executive producers, not all men. Sorry no offence but season 2 proved that women do romance way better than men!
