It's the season finale already! And then a long hiatus, but at least the show is coming back in the fall.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, this episode sounds fantastic! I'm a bit afraid of the "The end of the world as we know it" part, I do hope they dont kill off the entire Ark just yet. It also says the situation comes to a stunning conclusion.
Sounds amazing! I'm so happy we are getting more Bellamy/Clarke focus and some Jasper/Raven stuff in the season finale! Exciting! :)

So the damage caused by the dropship launch must be severe enough to doom the Ark as we know it. I'm wondering if the Ark breaks apart into multiple stations again to mitigate the damage.
Finn's up to something, as are Raven and Jasper. And Bellamy must have his heart set on all out war.
This is going to be an awesome 2 parter.
Finn and Clarke are like Jack and Kate of Lost. IF anything happens with Bellamy it will be a brief obstacle to the inevitable. Shippers brace yourselves. I hope this show does not get submerged in silly shipping wars. We have Raven or the grounder girl as love interests for Bellamy. We do not need Clarke so as to have another ridiculous CW triangle/quadrangle

ReplyDeleteThere's not a ship war because most people don't care about the love triangle or Finn/Clarke. And the problem with Finn's character has nothing to do with Bellarke. People dislike Finn because he handled the Raven/Clarke situation pretty badly and he expects the grounders to act peaceful.
ReplyDeleteAlso if you think this a ship war look at the TVD, Arrow or even The Walking Dead comments. Those shows have real ship wars.
I don't think Finn handled the situation that badly, both Clarke and and Raven really had their part in it. Raven knew something was up and choose to ignore it. Clarke also did not want to talk about it and pushed him away, not because she did not love him but because of Raven. First season have always problems to develop character all at the same time, we know way more about Clarke and Bellamy.
ReplyDeleteAnd The 100 don't have the man power nor the guns to survive the grounders if they really attack. We don't even know how many there are. There could be thousands considering that they have survived that long. So what is so bad about trying to find a solution? It not that Bellamy or Clarke so far have come up with a great plan. Finn at least tried to postpone the inevitable.
Yes there are ship wars. I've seen them for myself and the Bellamy/Clark fans are just as terrible as other rabid fan bases. Did Finn handle the situation the best way possible? No. But other characters have made terrible mistakes and they don't get as hard of a time as Finn. I don't care what anyone says, he is hated because it gets in the way of a ship. So, anything that he does even slightly wrong will get him much hate to make other ships look good. I used to ship Bellamy/Clarke, but not anymore because from what I have seen for the most part their fans are terrible.
ReplyDeleteThe girls are not at fault. Raven knew something was up but it took her some time to accept it was over and finally broke up. I understand her position. Finn has been the only person who has been there for her entire life so it was hard to let go.
ReplyDeleteClarke was mature about it and decided it was better to stay away. She did the right thing.
Finn just played with both of them and lead Raven on instead of telling her how he felt. Also Clarke has every right not to trust him so he needs to stop acting like him and Clarke are a thing and he owns her.
I'm sorry, but I have to disagree. Finn maybe all righteous and all that but he's not a leader. I see Bellamy and Clarke as yin and yang and they make a far more interesting couple to watch on screen with their interactions.
ReplyDeleteI will still say that romance and love needs to be minimum bc the show is about survival, unless of course it's Lincoln and Octavia (with no Jasper to serve as a third wheel in a triangle) bc that one relationship actually helps push the narrative of the story.
If anything you are the one trying to make the Bellarke shippers look bad. The 100 shippers aren't as rabid as the Reign, Arrow, OUAT and Walking Dead shippers. Look at the comments on this site for those tv shows and tell the Bellarke shippers are worse.
ReplyDeleteI already said why people disliked him and people have every right to dislike a character no matter who they ship. I love Jasper and lots of people hated the way he behaved in the last episode. But I guess according to your logic it was the Lincoln/Octavia shippers and not the way he behaved with Monty.
I don't think so. A reporter (I think from TV guide) said he saw the finale and wrote "that Lincoln is a damn boss". What ever that means.

Totally agree, Finn hate makes no sense, especially the one after Episode 10?? I started writing because it felt like I was watching a different show. Ridiculous comments give fan sites a bad reputation and spoil the fun of sharing ideas.

ReplyDeleteI could care less who hates who or who ships who, but if you can't see that Finn gets an excessive amount of hate for more than just how he handled Raven/Clarke then there is no point in me even trying to reason with you because clearly you are one of the ones I was referring to. I also so where people didn't agree with Jasper's actions, but again it was nothing like how people treat Finn, you are comparing apples and bananas, so until Jasper gets hate like Finn then we can talk about that particular comparison.
This show is going better after all the episode,but unfortunately season final are coming...

ReplyDeleteAnyway, regardless of if Finn and Clarke are endgame, I will always prefer Bellamy and Clarke. Finn and Clarke just do nothing to me because I find Finn really dull. I don't hate him, but he's boring. Doesn't have to be a triangle if Finn and Clarke would just be over for good. I know it won't be though. Won't stop me from shipping Bellarke forever.
I've actually never seen a nicer group of shippers than Bellarkers. I think you're just one of those people who hate anyone who ships something you don't. Not cool.
ReplyDeleteAll characters have people who don't like them. Saying hate for a character doesn't make sense...actually makes no sense. I've seen every main character on The 100 have people who hate them, for whatever reasons. They have that right.

If anything I always see the anti-Bellarke people being really vicious. They choose to hate on and bash REAL people, not characters. All Bellarke shippers are doing is shipping their ship and we're being called all kinds of names.

Some fans just can't accept nobody cares about their ship. Even Thomas said he is jealous that Bellarke gets all the attention and nobody seems to care about Finn/Clarke.
You seem to judge and hate anyone who ships Bellarke so I guess you are that Flarke fan that attacks the Bellarke fans in tumblr. The fandom is really small so it could be you.

ReplyDeleteI think that Finn and Bellamy both have strong individual characters, Bellamy has the act first think later mentality and Finn likes to take the path of non-violence, which IMO you need those characters in show about survival! whether either of them ends up with anybody they both bring something to the table!

One last thing before I check out:
I like all the characters just fine be it Finn or Bellamy or Clarke or anyone else from the remaining main characters. The show has done quite a good job at showing each and every character's motivations and their frame of minds. I don't hate any character nor do I assign labels to ships ( as being better or worse). I am simply enjoying the story unfold without passing judgement on the characters and their numerous strengths and flaws(everyone has them and no one is perfect).
Back to watching the show in my own peaceful bubble like I watch Arrow. Better for my sanity.

If not them then maybe people on the ark. I hate just thinking about it. He wants to go all Game of thrones on us. But it does make for good story telling. And I'm just going on a whim here but I think Kane is Bellamy and Octavia's dad. Don't know if that would matter since the ark is dying but I always find Kane's actions in the ark
And his personality to be similar to Bellamy's on the earth. Don't know if that would be a story to tell but its a theory.

I don't have a preference over either Flarke or Bellarke because I love all characters involved. Guess what? It is possible to love a show and not having a preference to a ship and genuinely liking all characters involved regardless of their flaws. It's possible, but I suppose you only know how to hate anything opposed to your ship. Which is fine, but do not get mad when someone calls you out about it. And for the record I never said I wasn't a shipper, I just don't have a preference over those particular ships. IF I was a Flarke shipper, why would I be mad? When it seems like Flarke ship is sailing and according to the EP, Bellarke isn't even a thing. Run along now child.

Yeah, I don't get the ships either - especially this early into the show. I think the plot is way more interesting than any of the potential relationships.
ReplyDeleteI was really disappointed they set-up the Finn/Clarke/Raven love-triangle so early on in the show.
I'm actually happy that the fans are not going to influence the writers as far as the story is concerned. That has happened way too many times with a certain other show and the story has suffered immensely.
ReplyDeleteIf there is one thing I wish to be included more in the coming episodes and in Season 2 ... it's more action and more hand to hand combat especially with the girls. I just caught up with Arrow and I'm in a huge withdrawal now because I miss watching those action scenes!
And this mess of a discussion after my previous comment is the very reason why there should be no so called Bellarke or triangle to start pitting one group of people against another. I wish one could screenshot it to Rothenberg and crew to see it just to know the vortex they could potentially slip into even now when nothing has happened. Just imagine if anything does? SMH.

Right now, everything is imaginary ... some people like seeing the interaction between Bellamy and Clarke and want that to happen, others like to see the interaction between Finn and Clarke and want that to happen. It's okay, for people to want things and throw around ideas to the writers and to Jason, much like how you just previously said that Raven or Anya can be used off as love interests for Bellamy to secure Finn and Clarke.
ReplyDeleteBut the writers and Jason thankfully know exactly what they need to do with the show and they'll do that and just because another fan wants to see something else happen, an opinion you don't agree with, doesn't mean that they are wrong or what they want is wrong. The writers don't need to be influenced by what fans want ... either set of fans.
Lets just please enjoy the show and forget about romance on the show completely. Our priority needs to be to get people to watch the show whatever may happen romantically. :)
Disagreed. If anything, in Lost comparisson Clarke would be Jack and Bellamy Kate.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think of this before until seeing it here. I think you are right. Maybe it's the reason I like Clarke and Bellamy together in the first place. Jack and Kate was my couple on the Lost. Bellamy really seems like Kate's guy version, so more badass and tough.
