  1. It was a great episode, but for some reason it didn't feel like a season finale. Is it october yet?

  2. That plague spreaded FAST! great moments but for real that ending didnt look like a final season, i was expecting something more catastrophic?...
I'm glad Greer didnt go with Leith, she should give Lord Castleroy a chance and Ivette is Greet only red head lol and that twist, i didnt see that one coming.
I was hoping to see Clarissa we still dont know if she survived or not D:

  3. October is a long, long time away.....

  4. If only people back then knew that the best way to battle the Plague was to clean their surroundings and learn how to wash themselves often. Plus, it pays to have cats kill disease-carrying rats.

  5. Where to begin... I guess stating that I loved it is a safe place to start. And I'm glad everybody got airtime.

Mary was ready to take over France. Part of me was like "Work it Miss Thang..." another part of me was like "Are you really going to one-up your husband in the name of saving his country behind his back?" This would be so much easier for me if I wasn't both pro-Mary and pro-Frary. Maybe it will be easier for them as the king and queen of France, now that they have power and aren't hindered by Henry.

Henry. Not gonna lie, I cried when he died. Not the ugly cry (saved that for Grey's), but cried nonetheless. I had a feeling Francis would be involved, but I didn't think he would be the one to actually do the deed. I figured he'd commit a little bribery, but no... good on him. If he was going to act on behalf of his soldiers, I prefered that he actually 'acted'. But still. *sniffles*

Greer & Leith - I got where Greer was coming from and applaud her decision to honor her commitment to Castleroy, but, all the same, who wouldn't feel bad for them? Leith in particular. If it weren't for her sisters, I think Greer would have taken him, but right now it's too much of a gamble for her to wait and see what he might be able to make of himself. And, honestly, I don't think he would have been as driven to become successful if she hadn't turned him down. And right up until Yvyette referred to Castleroy as her father I was cursing him because I felt like I was being tricked into liking a cad...But it's all god since the only trick was making me think he WAS a cad for like 10 seconds lol.

Kenna/Bash - I'm happy they're happy, but I feel like the fact that they are happy means one or both will die next season. Hoping I'm wrong, but....Well...there IS a plague going around... I'm thinking The Darkness meant he had to kill to stop the plague that was already circulating. At least I hope so, otherwise they goofed since there was no time skip. I'll have to re-watch to be sure. And what are they gonna do with the mini-darkness they're fostering?

Lola - Things aren't looking too good for her if she's only getting Francis and Mary isn't sending help. That sounds bad. To those who are reading this without watching beforehand (what is WRONG with you? jk), the castle's on lockdown and it's supposed to be no one in or out but Francis went anyway because what might be his only child is being born and Lola might be on death's door. Anyway, I'm kinda hoping Mary and Francis will have to raise the baby if it survives. I am not optimistic about Lola's or the baby's chances under the current conditions, and that is without knowing if Lola's been exposed to the plague.

Yeah, I only have 2 real complaints. 1. King Henry is no more and 2. It feels like I have to wait foreverrrrrrrr for season 2. But I am happy there will be a season 2 :)

That felt more like a Winter finale than a season finale. That said, I'm so very glad they killed Henry as history dictates, I almost can't believe it with all the creative licenses they take. I'm also glad Greer stayed with Castleroy, I mean sure, the man could be her father but he's shown such kindness that he deserves chance.
Kenna and Bash continue to be adorable, and I hope he nevers goes back to Mary (to think I used to ship them, lol).
Oh! and poor Lola! all alone and fearing death! I hope both her and the baby make it.
And, I know I haven't been the kindest in the past with the actor that plays Francis, so it has to be said, he was outstanding tonight by his father's death bed.
Again, it didn't really feel like a finale, but I suppose not all finales can be jaw dropping. It still was a solid episode, though.

  7. So does this mean they will kill off Francis? Since according to Nostradamus' prediction he will die; and in real life Francis really died because of ear infection. Maybe in the show he will be infected because of the plague then dies?
    Can't wait for Season 2!!!!

  8. I do wonder, if they will kill Francis and end the series, he is supposed to die a year after this point unless I am mistaken. It seems like they might stick to that point given how they handled the Henry's death. But then again I have not seen any other history related tv adaption last beyond 3-4 seasons.

  9. Hurt me when Francis said Lola's baby might be his only. Bet that's another reason why Mary closed the gates lol. That stung! I hope she gets pregnant soon!

  10. its to bad Bash didn't make it there in time to get a chance to say his goodbye's to his father...

  11. Oh I know, I am so torn with Greer! Like she said, her type of people don't just marry for love. Plus Castleroy has treated her and her family like they are something special. I had seen the photo's released of the jousting scene. I kind of wish I hadn't because I saw King Henry's death coming. It was a great death scene by Alan though. Sad to see him go. :(

  12. Yes I read that in real life Francis died a year after he was King. But they can still continue the show since it was really supposed to be about Mary being Queen hence the title "Reign". Not about the relationship between Mary and Francis.

  13. Yea, the look on poor Mary's face when he said that was awful. You could tell he wished he hadn't said it though.

TBH, I haven't been following spoilers or promotional potos of this show, but as son as I saw the promo last week I wrote something along the lines of "they may actually kill Henry in a historically acurate way" and I'm glad I was right. Unfortunately this sets a precedence and it probable means that, when the time comes, they will kill Francis that way too. Of course, my guess is they'll leave that for season 3 or even 4, so maybe the show won't make it that far. Or they may use it as a series finale, who knows...

  16. I only cried when Bash came in after Henry's death and kneeled before Francis, and then they hugged.

  17. That just renewed my crying, lol.
