    I knew it. I knew Will didn't kill Freddie. That means he isn't far gone as we were led to believe. I hate Mason for taking away Will's chance to be a father. Michael Pitt is doing a great job playing such a disturbed and disturbing character. I suspect Hannibal ate his sister, that she may be the first person he ever ate.

    Hannibal and Will talking about Mischa and Abigail was the most intense scene of the entire series.

    Will killed again. He is going to change sides in the next episode. It's time for Mason to meet WIll's dogs.

    Man Mason Verger is downright evil. With all the violence on this show, there is something to be said about how horrific Mason is even if he did not actually use a weapon. That scene with the boy was messed up.

    Amazing episode.

    I knew Freddie wasn't dead but I was not expecting Jack to be in on it! Loved that twist. The look on Alana's face when Freddie said "How was my funeral?" was priceless.

    Michael Pitt is seriously up there with Mads Mikkelsen in portraying one of the most horrifying characters I have ever seen on TV. This episode showed just how vicious Mason truly is. And holy shit, the scene in the beginning with the little boy and the scene with Margot in the hospital gave me chills. Seriously messed up.

    I loved the talk between Hannibal and Will about Abigail. She really did feel like a daughter to the both of them.

    Alana finally woke up, I can take her seriously again now. If she went on believing Hannibal was a poor victim any longer I would have to completely write-off her character.

    Hannibal was wearing the plastic suit last week because he was waiting at Freddie Lounds' place to kill her. Alana had told him she was sniffing around.

    wow another amazing ep... loved the little book callback bits that I could recall: Freddie Lounds set on fire in a wheelchair, Hannibal's sister Mischa (I wonder if they'll delve more into that as that was one of the main reasons that Hannibal became a cannibal iirc), and the delicacy of the little birds that are drowned alive and then cooked.... the complexity of Will and Jack's plan to lure is just awesome, though I'm a bit at a loss with the "manimal" killer that Will apparently killed and displayed....

    I knew Freddie was alive! And Jack and Will are trying to take Hannibal down! The ending was really good, but the episode felt a bit slow paced. I'm guessing Jack also knows about Will killing Randall Tier in self-defense and it was also part of their plan to fool Hannibal. What I really don't know is if Hannibal is really buying it or he realised Will is still the same man he was.

    Well, there's a Promo pic which says the opposite. Will will at least help Hannibal to take revenge against Mason and he also is going to forgive him. The season finale will be about Will having forgiven Hannibal and having an inner conflict.

    Well you are right. He is not the same man he was, but isn't a serial killer or a cannibal either, in my opinion. Maybe he's been having these feelings about killing but I believe he would only kill someone if strictly necessary (Randall was trying to kill him). Will has always had strong moral values.

    And he's not going to change sides. He going to let Hannibal THINK he changed sides but he has not. It's all part of his plan to take Hannibal down. Will getting Hannibal to kill Mason is probably his way to trap Hannibal/get concrete proof he's a killer.


    Will will not forgive Hannibal or 'understand' Hannibal and all he has done. This is all part of his ruse to make Hannibal think that his 'therapy' is working.

    Loved it! Wink to Red Dragon, but with a good twist, not to mention Michael Pitt's Mason Verger is SO perfectly horrible, he's really proving himself to be a good character actor. Poor Margot and good for Will by confronting him! Only 2 episodes left, but at least we have another season! Phew!

    They have already changed the time line, so it can't be directly related to WII the way it was in HR. But I'm sure the idea of it and the revenge story will be the same, since there have been winks to certian things (Georgia - farm house/shed - bathtub on the outside juxtapostion)


    But just remember some people have never read all of the books and/or seen all of the films and the story of Mischa could be considered a really big reveal, especially because the fans that don't know about that, can't yet see Hannibal as the anti-hero.

    Not so sure. I don't want to reveal film/novel spoilers, but if Fuller is sticking to his original 7 yr plan, then I definitely think that part of next season will have to be about Will fending for himself, because I suspect given our flash forward from episode 1, that Jack will be taken out for a bit and possibly replaced by someone like Cynthia Nixon's character...

    Totally called it. I was absolutely sure Will had not killed Freddie and Jack was in fact in on the action.


    As for Mason, Pitt certainly did an amazing job of making Hannibal's opposite. He is everything Hannibal hates, yet he is the only person who up until now was at his level.
    Btw, Alana, please, run. Just... pull a Du Maurier and get the hell out of there.

    Didn't you just describe the first half of season 2? Lol. So I hope the similar thing doesn't happen in s3.


    Anyway, Fuller have already said the plan for season 3 was to focus on Lady Murasaki.

    No he won't. He's made it clear he has no problems murdering Hannibal because of his actions toward Beverly, Abigail and himself. He won't just magically decide, "Hannibal I love you now, I'm going to abandon my long awaited plan of revenge all because we're bros again." He just set-up him up to die by Verger's pigs he doesn't want to save him. I honestly don't get why you keep thinking he does.

    No, because Jack became on his side (and even when he was institutionalized, he tried to protect him to some degree from CN's character), where Jack could be altogether taken out of picture.


    Lady Murasaki is just a foil and problem for Hannibal , as if for anyone who read Hannibal Rising, he had to leave France because he is at odds with her and Pascal's request/belief system, which has been the philosophical highlights of these season. She may not be able to help Will, but she could be a monkey wrench leading Hannibal to feel like he has to chose between whom he loves more...

    Because those of us that know the source material, know that despite whether Will holds true with this until the end of the series or not, that Will won't to have an opportunity be successful until then.


    Plus just looking to next season, it very possible that Jack won't be here to protect Hannibal and depending on how Fuller goes about Murasaki, could make Hannibal feel forced to choose between his loves and/or feel pushed to re confront old feelings that makes Hannibal act more irrational/careless paving the way to beginning of the Red Dragon...

    Well of course. Will catches Hannibal and gets horribly injured and retires, until he's pulled back in Red Dragon and asks for Lector's help. Everyone knows he'll fail in killing Lecter. But he's not backing out of trying to stop.

    And with those final moments I'm back on board with the show after a rough few episodes. I was desperately hoping Freddie would be alive and Jack part of a long con with Will but I had to admit I was a bit worried. I also hope Chilton isn't dead but in a coma as many fans have speculated.

    He very well might, if he has no one there to help catch him and/or if more people turn against him, because almost no one else but Jack believes him, especially if Cynthia Nixon or someone far worse comes to helm the FBI. She might even re institutionalize him and it's possible at first that Chilton also would have a replacement...Mason is alsi politically powerful and I can see a plot where whomever Will may have to deal with at FBI could be in their pockets, as this was also theme in Hannibal novel...a corrupt FBI.




    And Fuller plans on keeping Will around...

    The "Most Under Viewed/Rated Series" on television delivers, yet again! Let's count the ways shall we (No Spoilers).
    1) Mason Verger is officially on my list of "Best TV Villains". Michael Pitt is fiendishly good!
    2) Alana is finally out of the "Dark", but "How was my funeral?" That's a quote of the week people!
    3) The reference to "Red Dragon"...................PRICELESS!
    4) Was it just me or did Hannibal appear unimpressed with Mason and at times outright bored with him? The "Cannibal can't stand rudeness.
    5) Abigail Hobbs - remember I said it before and I'm saying it again...........................Abigail Hobbs is alive! The "Tea Cup" analogy.
    This great series has been renewed for a 3rd season, which is no surprise. What is a surprise is the viewership. Way more people should be watching this series. I'm really looking forward to the last episodes of season 2! 4 A MASON VERGER SLEEP OVER PARTY, I am Nobody!!!
