DAMN ITTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JULIETTE WHAT THE F.. ARE YOU DOING YOU"RE SUPPOSED TO KISS NICK NOT THAT SOB AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHH
Well after seeing that Trubel kinda reminds me of the main character from an old but very underrated ps2 game called primal I think her name was Jen she was Gothic and was part demon
I was getting flashes of Buffy in that action scene - this young, small framed gal kicking supernatural butt with roundhouse kicks and jabs, that was badass.
I don't know why I was thinking this, but whatever happened to that story they had of Nick going white as a corpse and just zoning out. I don't recall that ever being explained and it has been a dozen episodes since the last time he zombied out
If I roll my eyes ant stronger I'll be staring at my own brain. It was a lame storyline that doesn't need to be revisited. (And thank you for explaining what it was about, I was really very curious).
This is wrong on so many levels.... I really really really wish it is some kind of allucination Nick has after some Adalind potion, Harry Potter style (Ron).
great ep, more setup for the upcoming finale eps... ok cotw, but it served to shed some more light on Trubel's character, who I've said before reminds me of Faith to Nick's Buffy (on the run after a monster killed her family - much like Faith was on the run after that old vamp killed her watcher) - her charcter has possibilities, just as long as they don't turn her to the dark side, ie. Victor and the Royals get her on their side much like the evil mayor did with Faith. I trust that the writers will avoid that (I hope)
Oh no, it better not be Juliette's own violation! That would piss me the hell off. The promo also showed Adalind brewing up a potion so that may come into play in all of this.
If it is Juliette I will be so annoyed that I'll have to give this show a "time out". Not because of shipper stuff, but just because I barely made it through that awwwwwful storyline and now they are threatening to bring it back? The whole relationship angst and Juliette-Renard shennanigans? Nope. I can't.
Okay it's official, I need Trubel (Jacqueline Toboni) to be a series regular as soon as possible. She's such a great addition to the show and a breath of fresh air. Was anyone else getting sibling vibes between her and Nick? I wouldn't be surprised if she turns out to be Nick's half-sister.
My only complaint is that didn't Wu see Trubel on video camera in the last episode? Then why doesn't he recognize her when she was at the murder scene or at the precinct? Anyways, can't wait to see more of these keys!
I really hope they don't kill Trubel off at the end of the season and I really hope they see her as a potential cast member or recurring character. She's fantastic! To quote a great movie title: I Love Trouble!
volition, not violation. :-) Otherwise, absolutely spot on: the whole Juliette and Renard Season 2 storyline was not only way too long, it was extremely tired and contrived. Perhaps -- big perhaps -- it's just another one of those flashback scenes that this show likes to put into just about every episode.
I really enjoyed this episode. I had expected, based on the promo, that it would be Trubel causing trouble and making Hank question his decisions with regard to Nick. I was very pleased that went the excited smart student. The down side is that her competence and my starting to like her is making me worry more that she won't survive the episode (referring to Adalind's agreement with Victor to get rid of a Grimm.)
My best friend and I were talking about this tonight. They dropped it very early in the season with no payout whatsoever. I know some of the people on spoilerTV were theorizing that that may have had something to do with Nick's seeming coldness to Wu's situation. But no sign that it was connected to the zombie thing. They just dropped it. I find that annoying.
I tweeted that with the writers on twitter and they said the long-term effects of Nick's periodically turning white is mostly enhancing his Grimm abilities, i.e. longevity under water, super-hearing and seemingly unlimited stamina which we still get to see in recent episodes.
However, it's possible they're holding back on some key details that they're not telling us so I'm hoping they'll revisit this very soon, or at the least for next season.
Trubel is an interesting addition so far. She brings a refreshing new dynamic to the show, and especially in her relationship with Nick. I find it interesting that they found another Italian-sounding named actress to play another Grimm. Plus, some of her features does have some resemblance to Nick. I agree with others on speculating that Trubel could turn out to be Nick's sister or something. I actually hope so, because that would be cool.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteWhat are you talking about? I missed the episode and can't watch it now. WTF happened with Juliette?
ReplyDeleteOnly Truble is not gothic, more punk inspired
ReplyDeletewhat is going on at the end......how did he get the key....
ReplyDeleteCurious minds would like to know (will catch the episode much later, but I am surprised about ivan's comment)
ReplyDeleteI don't know why I was thinking this, but whatever happened to that story they had of Nick going white as a corpse and just zoning out. I don't recall that ever being explained and it has been a dozen episodes since the last time he zombied out
ReplyDeleteDidn't Nick entrust the key to Rosalee in the S2 finale before he was zombified?
ReplyDeleteAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh. I need to know.
ReplyDeleteHe's talking about the promo for next week. There's a part that quickly shows Juliette (sadly) kissing Renard again.
ReplyDeleteWTF?????
ReplyDeleteivan is probably referring to the promo for next week's episode. There was a quick shot of what looked like Juliette and Renard kissing in the promo.
ReplyDeleteYup! I had to rewind it back in slow motion to make sure. I couldn't believe it.
ReplyDeleteIf I roll my eyes ant stronger I'll be staring at my own brain.
ReplyDeleteIt was a lame storyline that doesn't need to be revisited.
(And thank you for explaining what it was about, I was really very curious).
Hmm, thanks for the answer. Now why would the writers go down that path again? Is it a new spell of Adalind? - that would be repetitive
ReplyDeleteOr is it of Juliette's own violation? - that woould be totally out of left field, sort of a character 180.
This is wrong on so many levels....
ReplyDeleteI really really really wish it is some kind of allucination Nick has after some Adalind potion, Harry Potter style (Ron).
I think so but looks like someone find the "key"
ReplyDeleteWell you may be right about that because the promo also showed Adalind brewing up a potion!
ReplyDeletein the promo for next week, they say that there is another key in town... so this is a seperate one from Nick's
ReplyDeletegreat ep, more setup for the upcoming finale eps... ok cotw, but it served to shed some more light on Trubel's character, who I've said before reminds me of Faith to Nick's Buffy (on the run after a monster killed her family - much like Faith was on the run after that old vamp killed her watcher) - her charcter has possibilities, just as long as they don't turn her to the dark side, ie. Check it out for yourself:

She was just another girl caught on a grainy security camera. Hard for Wu to connect the dots.
ReplyDeleteI really hope they don't kill Trubel off at the end of the season and I really hope they see her as a potential cast member or recurring character. She's fantastic! To quote a great movie title: I
ReplyDeleteLove Trouble!
She reminds me of Sin from Arrow.
ReplyDeleteThere's more than one key in the world though so that's a different one.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering that too except my thoughts were that, that man where she was staying had a poster and called the police. Unless I'm mistaken?
ReplyDeleteDoesn't look like Juliette to me?
ReplyDeleteIt's not Juliette. I watched the promo frame by frame and although there are resemblances it's not her.
ReplyDeleteCome on, that's not Juliette, is it? Please don't prove me wrong. :-)

ReplyDeleteThanks for posting it...
ReplyDeleteI won't be pleased if they kill Renard.
I think most viewers would agree with that sentiment.
ReplyDeleteThat's probably what Jen was too
ReplyDeleteIt's Juliette.

ReplyDeleteIt certainly got us buzzing!! The next episode seems so long away!
