  1. This show keeps getting better and better! Whoa at the end. This isn't going to end well. And it's been a long time since the Titanic sank in the show's 'verse - it was a good metaphor, but a really outdated one?

I'm starting to like Henry Ian Cusick's character.

  2. I was kind of expecting that ending. They don't have enough ships for everyone to go to Earth. That won't end well.

The Grounder speaks and he does understand them. And he seems to really like Octavia. But we need to know more about his people.

Honestly, I wasn't too crazy about how Finn got a miraculous save. Up till now, the show has been good with being unpredictable, but this was just too fake. It would have made for more drama if he had died from the poison inspite of all their efforts to save him.

  3. I loved it! There aren't any characters that I dislike right now. I was on the edge of my sit for the entire episode, even though I knew Finn wouldn't die.

Clarke was really great in this one, as were all of the women. Anyone else think Clarke and Bellamy would be better together than Finn and Clarke?

  4. I knew they didn't have enough ships for everyone. I don't know if I saw it online somewhere or it was mentioned on the show previously but I knew that was the case.

I care about Raven way more than I care about Finn - so I was happy for her but I didn't understand why Clare was so attached to him when she barley knows him (as she stated in the last episode).

  5. Those first days there, Finn was Clarke's best friend. He was there for her, respected her, he helped her. I don't even ship them but I can understand how she feels about him.

  6. kane is surprisingly becoming more human in this episode but i'm sure that'll change lol, and i'm guessing bellarke shippers liked their scenes, i do not trust that former chancellor, that look between her and the husband very suspect in my opinion, might've been nothing but i don't know

It doesn't matter she hasn't known him for long. Ever since they landed he's helped, supported her, respected her and been there for her in general when he had no obligation too. If you add to that, that her only and oldest friend died, I'm not surprised she latched onto him, it's a very natural reaction.

Yep, that look made me think that it was all staged.

  9. This keeps getting better and better.
I'm glad that Kane's showing depth.
Also the Romeo & Juliette with Octavia and the Grounder is fun even if it is a cliche.
I hope Finn get's back on shape fast, I like him on the group dynamic.
I also like Raven but when she's not all cheesely over Finn, I think they need to break up and be awesome single couse together she truns into a stupid chashing girly girl. And she's awesome when she's not like that.
I like Clarke and Bellamy's partnership, I hope they keep it up.

  10. This episode raised a lot of interesting questions about the situation on board the Ark, which is ultimately what I'm the most fascinated about after all. I was prepared and content with Finn dying so it was more surprising to me that he made it through the episode. I really like the interaction between the Grounder and Octavia. There's a lot to be explored there.

  11. God dam Ark people why do they want to mess with their own survival by playing stupid power games. I still feel like the new Council women Diana Sydney is still up to something.
-But maybe we might be getting a good Kane soon? hope so, redemption is always good.
And Now the Ark got Titanic problems.
    - They got some serious real world problems. I suggest start reformatting the Ark for a different purpose someway allowing a portion of it to steadily land on the ground or use them 200+ years of tech knowledge to build a return vessel if possible.

On the Ground stuff was fantastic as always.
The interrogation + torture was a good way to see what these teens are willing to do in their darkest times.
I give props to Octavia for being the nice girl and understanding through the whole incident. Tho Clarke has proven that she is willing to do what it takes, so it was no surprise that she would partake in the event. Knowing she really does love Finn.
Funny moment was when Raven came up asking whats taking so long, I knew the way she is she would do something worse, lol she did to old spark wires move.
-But somehow I knew when that knife fell on the ground that it would be Octavia who would stop that whole scene and make him give the an answer.
In that regards I gotta give props to this Grounder lol, the fool won't budge no matter what unless it has something to do with his girl Octovia.

Basically in the end Clarke let Finn go for the time being, making Finn go no don't go what do I do. Then the writers do the stupid hand touch move.

  12. Of Course that needed to happen in the ark DAMN! that's a huge problem and that woman Diana? is not good news.
Octavia was the star/non star in this episode what she did was brave, she knew he was not going to let her die her dinamic today was good she was trying to be the good person when everyone was diferent and woao at Raven shocking the grounder.
At the end i think what Bellamy did was correct it that situation everyone would've done the same cause you dont know the guy, you see he has a record of the people living there and he crossed the ones that are dead, for everyone those are bad news and when you are scare you do reckless things.

  13. Not really, I think Clarke and Bellamy thing that is upcoming is basically going to be a result of her circumstances. Can't people sometimes just be single for a long time? at least here when top priority is survival.

  14. Me too @ I'm starting to like Henry Ian Cusick's character.

  15. Another great and solid episode. People in comments forget about the new player in the game, this Diana seems to be a new kind of villain, now Kane show more human side, I think she will be the next obstacle for Clarke's mon and the counsel.

The things on earth got really interesting, I think this grounder like Octavia, but also think he is trouble, let's see what happens next.

  16. i actually don't think that Bellamy and Clarke will get together in this season. Jason said that this show is not about who's sleeping with who, but they definitely have a strong connection

    ReplyDelete
  17. Could be so but the thought that they want to keep trowing those flags at us, will make it a little displeasing, but that won't take away from the rest of the show.

But how is disagreeing all the time a strong connection.

    ReplyDelete
  18. but don't you think that their relationship, if they will become something more, is realistic? because in such hostile environment, they have to think about other things, but it is really possible for some people to grow closer. i think now it's not a romantic connection at all, they are very strong characters with different approaches, so they will grow closer, because they have to make decisions about their survival, etc. I actually like them like this - i think they will become really good partners and friends and then maybe they will become more.

the problem for me with Finn and Clarke is that Finn's character is not being developed. I really liked him in fir 3-4 episodes, but then he became Clarke's sidekick and that's why I don't think their relationship is between equals anymore. I hope Finn's character will be explored more, because now, I really don't care if he lives or dies. :)

    ReplyDelete
  19. I don't mind them as a good partnership with different ways of leading, but when you always have that different it just doesn't feel as right, IDK based on the current 6 episode I would find it not realistic if they become more, I would have to see more progress and more reasoning behind it then just the She can't be with Finn now so then lets do that.

There is nothing wrong with Finn other then the fact that the writers really like you said don't want to develop him as a leader or someone who outshines Bellamy or Clarke, they want the focus to be Clarke, which I am ok with, and also Bellamy, but when you insist on doing that with a big enable cast, its going to leave a lot of people in sidekick status. I feel like Lost did it well, it was a big group of people, but the main cast didn't outshine one another that much.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I actually think they are developing Bellamy and Clarke as friends now, not as 'lovers'. I hope I'm right, because their romantic relationship would be unnecessary just now.

  21. I hope your right too. smiley face thing here

  22. So intense!! I was emotional throughout because of Clarke/Abby scenes and then the torture scenes were just so dark!! Whoa ... love the show!

  23. YES! Clarke and Bellamy are yin and yang! =D Totally rooting for them!

I think nothing romantic will happen this season and I'm fine with that. I can be patient with romance as long as there's no love triangles. I think Bellamy and Clarke will keep growing closer and will be friends before the season ends. I just want Clarke/Finn to be over because they are so boring.

  25. EuphemiaWonderland1 May 2014 at 13:58

It looked staged. Diane always knew there weren't enough ships so her group is probably planning to get all the ships for themselves and leave the others behind.

I'm probably way off here, and I'm not talking romance, but I kind of look at Bellamy and Finn as like the angel and devil on Clarke's shoulder. Since they got there Bellamy has been going one way with his decisions and actions whereas Clarke is usually pulling the other way. All this time she's had Finn beside her, agreeing with her choices, pushing her to follow through on her gut reactions, basically backing her up and helping her retain her original and natural character. We see in this episode that left on her own with nobody to bounce things off she's capable of being much much darker. She struggles a tiny bit but once Finn is poisoned she doesn't need a lot of persuading to allow Bellamy to torture him. So..... if you look at it that way her crying over Finn and telling him she can't do it without him makes more sense than her being madly in love with him after 5 minutes. Bellamy's line about who they are and who they need to be to survive was pretty spot on. I think that even harks back to last week's flash backs. He's made questionable decisions all his life to protect Octavia and now on earth they all have to do it. He's still clearly affected by what he's just done, as is Clarke but he's right. You can't make decisions in a situation like that based on the same rationale you make decisions in a normal safe situation. Of course I'm not implying that Bellamy is a literal devil, his way of thinking isn't wrong, it's just coming from a completely different place than the rest of them.

The Ark stuff wasn't as interesting for me this week but the blonde one clearly can't be trusted and I'm interested to see where all of that stuff goes in future episodes. Interesting too that it wasn't Jaha who made the argument to save Abby's life, again. Can we assume it was Kane then? Perhaps a result of his guilt over the 320 people dying?

Overall I think it was a pretty good episode. I enjoyed the character development of last week but not much happened story wise. This week was back into the thick of the action and it was intense. Raven coming up and electrocuting the guy was pretty spectacular! Interesting to note too that although Clarke was willing to let Bellamy torture the guy Raven was willing to actually do it herself!

  27. can't they be smart about this? to send some of the people down to earth and leave some behind (probably engineers) to build more dropships. they would buy themselves some more time, because the population would decrease, if they have put more people on the ground. but i guess it's not going to happen and some power struggle will do something terrible

    ReplyDelete
  28. It struck me as obtrusive as well that Jaha mentioned the Titanic. They don't seem to teach history on the Ark but who knows maybe someone brought a copy of the movie with them when they fled from Earth.

  29. I didn't see the poison twist coming but I do agree that the outcome was too easily achieved.

  30. That's a good point. Finn, Jasper & Octavia were really the only people willing to go with her to try and get the supplies when they first got there. I guess I can understand that since she didn't know anyone she'd latch on to the people who were there for her in the beginning.

  31. Fantastic ep! Well done to all the actors/actresses involved. That torture scene was so hard to watch. Jaha's reaction to Wells death was so sad. I am not surprised that Clarke gave to okay to torture him considering it was Finn she was trying to save. I am so glad this show isn't focusing too much on romance. We have enough of that with other CW shows. I am loving this show so much. We need a season 2!

As I said is very natural reaction, people tend to pair up, and I don't mean only romatically in extreme situations. You can be as independent as you want, and Clarke has proven that she is strong and independent, but everyone needs someone to lean on every once in while.
Now, regarding Raven, Iove her on her own, but I hate the dependable little girl she turns to when Finn is around. I mean, with the life she had she should be stronger tan that, and it seems that she turns into a pile of goo everytime he's near. Why can't she be a combination of both, kind of like Clarke? Maybe we'll see a better mesh of her personalities in the future, but so far, I just wish they would cut her interactions with Finn to bare mínimum, so we can get strong, Smart Raven most of the time.

They should be, but they won't. Being smart all of the time doesn't make for goos drama, lol.

  34. Loved it in a creepy (seems my word of the week with AoS and all) way. I think Bellamy and Clarke will grow closer together not romantically but for companionship. Both of them, although from different angles, are going through the same changes, decisions and loneliness. The will look for companionship in each other and that is what attracts me to the two. Clarke reminds Bellamy of morals and he remindes her of the necessary things. Finn is actually an interesting character but the writers have neglected him the last few episodes. Raven is so bad ass and it is great that they show that a person like her also has somebody who is her whole world, but she comes off as needy and depending to me.

I'd love for them to become close friends and partners, without the romance angle, you know... for them to just work together for the bennefit of the 100 and to be there for one another when the burdens of leadership turn to be too much. But the problema is, this is TV and a CW show, so chances are they will stir it towars the romance angle.
And ITA on Raven! she's so fabulous on her own, so strong and Smart, but when she's with Finn I hate what she becomes. Hopefully it's only because she just got to earth and she thought she'd lost him, only to almost loose him again a day or two after getting him back. At least that's what I'm holding on to, because I really like her.
