I like that Fox are flexible with episode counts, for me it should always be to the benefit of the story. 22-24 episode seasons are so often full of filler, the best thing that happened to Lost was having shorter seasons from S4 onwards and really the majority of my favourite shows right now are cable series with 10-13 eps.
