  2. Thank you!!! Thank you for adding this sneak peek. Can't wait to see this episode :)

Looks like Mycroft is off the hook. Just great (sarcasm).

  3. Soooo glad there's a JoanLock reunion. I thought for sure they'll forward to a few days or a week.

  4. OMG Finally! The look on Sherlocks face when Mycroft told him is priceless!

  5. My thoughts exactly. He still lied and tricked them, and is continuing to stir up trouble. But he's a good guy, so we're all immediately supposed to cheer. No thanks.

  6. Well, I'm sure that Sherlock isn't going to let him off the hook, for this and for other things -- maybe ever. So I don't think you'll be alone in wanting to bash him a lot of the time. Sherlock'll be doing it too. He's not going to let this go.

And I don't think the writers are dumb enough to want everybody to totally excuse all of Mycroft's stuff (at least I hope they aren't.) Since holding Sherlock to account for his behavior is one of the show's top themes, I'd like to think that they would be equally inclined to focus on both Mycroft's good side and his bad side. Are they really dumb enough not to? I'll be very disappointed if the thing goes as you fear it will. That would be the dumbed-down version of what I thought the show was trying to be and a huge step backward for them, in my opinion. (not that this never happens with tv shows, of course)

  7. Thanks for replying and it was really great to hear your thoughts. Maybe I just reacted too soon after seeing the sneak peek, but you said makes sense. I just hope that Mycroft's actions that led to Joan's kidnapping isn't forgotten about or forgiven too soon. We all know Sherlock won't let this go, but what about Watson? Wonder how she reacts once she knows all the details.

  9. Yeah, I agree about Watson being the wild card. She definitely seems quite mad at Sherlock during the sneak peek. And I don't see what she has to be so mad at him about -- although I guess it's partly all the mornings that he busted into her room and picked out bad outfits to throw on her bed. Frustration about her personal situation slowly building up, which I guess they've been sort of showing all season. ....

Here's hoping that they don't fulfill your worst fears and that they give us an ending that honors the complexity of all three of these characters and doesn't just make Sherlock into the jerk.. ... I can see that they might want to do that, but I'm really really hoping that they give us an ending that lets everybody remain a complicated character -- which couldn't be one where Sherlock was all wrong and everybody else was all right .... Wondering whether, unlike last season, they'll give us a cliffhanger this time, with everybody at odds, or maybe Mycroft and Watson heading off into the sunset and Sherlock left alone and unhappy, with his bees and his Moriarty correspondence .... and the heroin in the book. Yikes..... Only a few more hours before we find out some of it, at least.

Interesting. I didn't get the vibe she was mad at Sherlock. She makes eye contact to reassure him. She looks mighty irritated at Mycroft, though. I guess the blush is off that freakish rose, lol
