Well I guess Dan Harmon should start the kickstarter campaign for the movie.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! That's the worst possible cancellation this season.. Damn NBC!!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Well, that is sad. Netflix, HULU, anybody

    ReplyDelete
  11. FUUUUUUUUUUCK!! @CancellationBear must be orgasmic right now. :P ;)

  13. Pablo Troncoso9 May 2014 at 19:37

We were so close to 6 seasons! It can't be...!
    NBC, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!
Please, Netflix, please pick it up!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Deep effing sigh.
The first show I've lost this season. Boo.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I feel bad for the fans.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Now this irks me...

    ReplyDelete
  17. CancellationBear9 May 2014 at 19:38

Consider this punishment just for the possibility of taking Revolution from me.

    ReplyDelete
  18. NOOOOOOOOOO! WHY! This one hurts, this one hurts REAL BAD!
Season 5 had been SO GOOD!!!! ='( WHY!!! WHY NBC!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Pablo Troncoso9 May 2014 at 19:38

I was so, so sure that Community would be renewed again!
I simply can't believe this is happening!
    Please:
    A) Be a mistake
    B) Let another network pick it up
    C) Let Netflix or another streaming service pick it up!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Hulu (it's one of their most-streamed shows), Comedy Central (it's on syndication there), SOMEONE pick up the show. I AM NOT READY TO LET THIS SHOW GO.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I sign up for the hunting party. ;) :)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Must taste good to finally get this one in you gullet I bet!
It has eluded you for years

    ReplyDelete
  23. And I'm back to hating NBC. Seriously? Seriously? Just... I don't... fuck NBC. I hope the entire network burns for this.

Can we get Netflix or Hulu to pick it or something? Maybe just go to a movie?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Guys, I think we need a Renewal Bear asap.

    ReplyDelete
  25. CancellationBear9 May 2014 at 19:40

Just follow the trail of cancelled shows.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Let's hope it suffers indigestion. It snatched Revolution too.

    ReplyDelete
  27. NO #SixSeasonsAndAMovie then DAMN!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Something must have gone wrong in the last week or so because most insiders/tv critics felt like it had a good chance of coming back then suddenly the last 24 hrs was doom and gloom.

I mean S5 was a step up from S4 in terms of quality though I didn't enjoy the last few eps that much I still wanted a S6. This is such a shame.

    ReplyDelete
  29. We have to follow Parenthood...

    ReplyDelete
  30. Pablo Troncoso9 May 2014 at 19:41

I think Netflix and Hulu are the safiest choice for its future.
Damn it! I was so sure it would be renewed again! The bastards even said a S6 was likely at TCA!
    DAMN IT NBC!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I am miserable. Still was by far the best comedy on NBC. Hope all new comedies fail!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Trail? So, we're looking for failed careers and future bad choices by writers/actors :P ;) :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. you got revolution now!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. It just might give indigestion since both shows were beyond their expiration date last year far as I'm concerned! XD

    ReplyDelete
  35. Screw you NBC! First Revolution and now this!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Liam Neeson vs. The Cancellation Bear. I think I've just stumbled upon the plot for Taken 3.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Just because Neeson took on wolves doesn't mean he is capable of taking down a bear.

    ReplyDelete
  38. CancellationBear9 May 2014 at 19:43

Just one more canceled show and I level up to Dovahbear. Bring it on.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I used to dislike NBC, but now I like them. Hannibal and The Blacklist.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Liam Neeson - "I have a very specific set of skills"

    CancellationBear - "Burrrrrp! Me too."

    ReplyDelete
  41. Was worried this would happen... tis a shame when most comedies these days are just total garbage.

    ReplyDelete
  42. As dessert. :)

    ReplyDelete
  43. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

    ReplyDelete
  44. We were sooooo close.

    ReplyDelete
  45. CancellationBear9 May 2014 at 19:46

Oh I like this game. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Hahahahahahahhahahaha.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Comedy Central could be a decent spot too since its been on syndication there. As long as it lives on somewhere.

What I don't get why Parks & Rec was definitely going to be renewed, and Community hovering with the same ratings and almost on as long wasn't definitely going to be renewed. They both benefited from each other and remained fairly consistent, which is like the only thing NBC has going for it.

If we don't see anything in the future, it has been a pleasure discussing Community with you in your reviews. As for me... I'm going to go prepare for the impending meteor... it's canon.

    ReplyDelete
  48. cancellation bear you are just so funny:) i have read your other
comments here and on other post and it wouldnt surprise me if you
happend to be a real bear :P sure you dont want to be a stand up
comedian instead of eating tv shows ;)

    ReplyDelete
  49. There's a little Chevy Chase aftertaste there. Tastes toxic. Not so happy about that, huh?

    ReplyDelete
  50. Such a shame! Season 5 was pretty good and I was certain that this little show would get renewed again. I hope someone else picks it up!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Ugh....I was hoping for at least another 13 ep season to finish up and maybe let everyone else graduate.

    ReplyDelete
  52. To be fair, we've dodged this bullet for years. It's sad but we got more than we probably should have.

    ReplyDelete
  53. CancellationBear9 May 2014 at 19:49

    That is a downside yes.

    ReplyDelete
  54. SophieTheFrenchy9 May 2014 at 19:49

noooooooOOOOOOOOO ! WTF ?? I love the show !! I really hate this time of year !!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Hannibal is good, but I don't love it like everyone else. And Blacklist is fine, not a must watch for me, but I'd take Community over it in a heartbeat

    ReplyDelete
  56. Pablo Troncoso9 May 2014 at 19:49

We better do, but before that let's hope that the meteor is stopped by the laser machine, may it be the one called Netflix, Hulu or Comedy Central.
It just can't end like this.

I have also liked discussing the show with you, I hope we get the chance to keep doing it, but we must be ready for doomsday anyway

    ReplyDelete
  57. The darkest timeline, it caught up to us.

    ReplyDelete
  58. CancellationBear9 May 2014 at 19:52

This is just so much more fun.

    ReplyDelete
  59. 5 Seasons And A Movie?

    ReplyDelete
  60. i hate you for eating 666 park avenue last year so i will find you and hunt you down.

    ReplyDelete
  61. To say that I'm disgusted by this is an understatement!!!!! :(

    ReplyDelete
  62. Renewal Rhinoceros :P

    ReplyDelete
  63. Victor Basetta Sideburns9 May 2014 at 19:58

Are you kiddinng me?? Fuuuuuucccckkk. I put all in that Dan Harmon will get the show to be host on Netflix or Hulu. Probably on Hulu.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Justyna Kubica9 May 2014 at 20:00

What is happening right now? Come on, guys!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Hell Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! :(

    ReplyDelete
  66. CancellationBear9 May 2014 at 20:01

The bear just cut a bloody swath through a bunch of shows and people's feelings.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Pablo Troncoso9 May 2014 at 20:02

I'm already plotting my Revenge on you, you will fall CancellationBear, but first you will suffer, just as you did when Beauty and The Beast was renewed!

    ReplyDelete
  68. You know how I know that we are in the darkest timeline? BaTB gets to continue and Community doesn't. I know, why don't we forget that The CW ever renewed BaTB and they can save community and air that instead!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Katarzyna Skop9 May 2014 at 20:04

    NOOOOO, WHAT THE HELL. D:

    ReplyDelete
  70. I shall quote Jeff Winger (mostly): "[Community] still might find a second life on cable." At the very least, be happy that we got the pleasure of viewing one of the greatest comedies. And as the title of the opening number suggests: At Least It Was Here.

I hope some other network Chang's this, otherwise my whole I-Dean-tity will be torn asunder, and that's not nice; I guess we have stumbled into the darkest timeline; NBC is cruel, cruel cruel cruel, they totally Britta'd it.

Now excuse me while I go cry in a bathroom singing Butterfly in the Sky.

    ReplyDelete
  71. CancellationBear9 May 2014 at 20:04

    There's still more to come.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Maybe just a special to wrap things up? Like they do on some of the UK comedies like Extras?

    ReplyDelete
  73. TvLine eleborated - There’s no official word from the Peacock but sources confirm that the show’s April 17 Season 5 finale will end up being itsseries finale — unless, of course, Sony finds a new home for the Greendale gang.

What is with them prematurely depressing people just so they can be first?

    ReplyDelete
  74. Justyna Kubica9 May 2014 at 20:11

Seriously? It was almost season 6!

    ReplyDelete
  75. I don't watch it but I still think it deserved to stay way more than other shows like Beauty and the Beast (I know that's on the CW).
Does it have a proper conlusion at least?

    ReplyDelete
  76. Nathan Convey9 May 2014 at 20:15

But but but #sixseasonsandamovie!! Stop being killjoys NBC. Do a truncated season and give us a movie!

    ReplyDelete
  77. Not cool cool cool!

    ReplyDelete
  78. Ohhh maaan!!! Só sad :(

    ReplyDelete
  79. Why in the world would you let Mindy get away and eat Community alive????

    ReplyDelete
  80. Eric Van Velson9 May 2014 at 20:35

I pray that Hulu or Netflix or even Amazon will pick up the sixth season.

    ReplyDelete
  81. #Six Seaons and a f*cking movie!!!!! Come on NBC you had it right in front of you!!!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Nicolás Festa9 May 2014 at 20:37

Don't worry, with the onlinem edia buzz this show has, Sony will find another place for Community in nothing(Comedy Central, Hulu, Netflix(ONE HOPES!), TBS, etc).

    We will have #sixseasonsandamovie!

    ReplyDelete
  83. This really made me sad. I guess that an asteroid has just destroyed all
    human civilization :(

    ReplyDelete
  84. Kaalyn Johnson9 May 2014 at 20:51

I suspect this show will find it's closure one way or another in time.

Still sad to see it go.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Dominika Jurčíková9 May 2014 at 20:57

    what the FUCK!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  86. #darkesttimeline is trending!

    ReplyDelete
  87. CruzLovesMovies9 May 2014 at 21:24

I hope you're right. Any guesses as to when we'll know if another place has picked it up?

    ReplyDelete
  88. Pablo Troncoso9 May 2014 at 21:26

This is how I am right now

    ReplyDelete
  89. >What I don't get why Parks & Rec was definitely going to be renewed,
and Community hovering with the same ratings and almost on as long
wasn't definitely going to be renewed.

P&R is produced by NBC, so they get syndication rights, dvds etc. Community is produced by Sony, so NBC only gets the ad money.

    ReplyDelete
  90. boooooo not happy about this..... knew it'd be a long shot but was hoping for at least a short season

    ReplyDelete
  91. Bearded Timbino9 May 2014 at 21:39

Really?! I'm not a fan of this show, I really haven't watched much of it at all, but kinda uncalled for when it comes to those who love the show.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Sad but not surprising, I did like this show it was funny at some points in the first and second seasons.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Darn. Sad news. This was one of a few current comedies that I was watching. Will be missing you, Greendale gang.

    ReplyDelete
  94. WTH?!!!
First Revolution and now Community as well?!!
    I'm heartbroken.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Sarah Collins9 May 2014 at 22:02

Sometimes shows just have to get cancelled, none of the shows that are on now would ever live out 10 seasons would they these days, with money cuts and stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Mariana Sanches9 May 2014 at 22:05

    #fiveseasonsandfuckyounbc

    ReplyDelete
  97. Prepare yourselves, this is what is going to happen. It's canon!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KhLdSfS3qw

    ReplyDelete
  98. Nope. The one character that plays the line between staying in the show's universe and breaking the fourth wall said in one episode that if the show isn't renewed, the audience should assume that the reason is because an asteroid hit Earth and killed everybody, but he just likes to pretend that life is a TV show; nothing he says actually holds that kind of weight.

So it got a "proper conclusion" if you take what that character said to heart, but even that wouldn't really fit as "proper". :P

    ReplyDelete
  99. Dominika Jurčíková9 May 2014 at 23:27

I want six seasons and movie!!!

    ReplyDelete
  100. I am so sad :( I will miss you Community :(

    ReplyDelete
  101. It was time for Community to go. I was excited when the show was sort of rebooted at the beginning of season 5 and Mark Marmon returned as it showrunner. I thought that after the Re-Pilot, which I really enjoyed, the show was going to be infused with renewed energy and vitality. Unfortunately it fell flat by episode 3. I struggled through season 5, I actually had the show running on the background while I did things more interesting than watching (like washing the dishes or vacuuming the carpet). Overall I find that season 4 (not run by Harmon) was funnier and more entertaining than season 5. I'd like to see Joel McHale pursuing other endeavours, he is talented, handsome and sexy as hell.

    ReplyDelete
  102. You bet it will.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Netflix this is your time to get more subscriptions, pick this series up.

Damn shit... gonna miss Abed and Troy, and the love triangle, and the whole community college. It was one of the few comedies I watched.

    ReplyDelete
  104. I think he's expressing dismay.

    ReplyDelete
  105. First Chuck now Community (well at least Chuck got an proper finale) you keep killing everything I love NBC.

    ReplyDelete
  106. I don't know how to feel, on the one hand Hannibal is coming back (which is awesome not only because the show is the best network drama, but also because Bryan Fuller finally has a show that got past two seasons), but I'm also really, really sad and angry over the death of Community and Greendale.

    ReplyDelete
  107. To quote Bryan Mills of Taken, "I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you!"

    ReplyDelete
  108. A meteor just wipped out humanity. And that's canon!

Worst: NBC let it happened! NBC, you just destroyed humanity! Are you proud?

    ReplyDelete
  109. My sentiments exactly. Not happy about this news at all.

    ReplyDelete
  110. As always, Troy speaks for us all.

    ReplyDelete
  111. I'd like to see Joel McHale pursuing other endeavours, he is talented, handsome and sexy as hell.
    Can't argue with this.

    ReplyDelete
  112. I've never been this sad because of any other show... F**k you, NBC.

    ReplyDelete
  113. My 1st non-rookie show. I sincerely believed it would get S6.

    ReplyDelete
  114. This is truly the darkest timeline. Batb exists while Community doesn't. There is no God.

    ReplyDelete
  115. You are awesome. Let my tears mix.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Long live Netflix #fiveseasonsandanetflixoriginalfuture

  117. αнмαď ∞10 May 2014 at 13:07

What a horrible loss. Too bad.

    ReplyDelete
  118. I was ready for this, but I'm still upset. Definitely going to miss the show.

    ReplyDelete
  119. CruzLovesMovies10 May 2014 at 14:36

If it wasn't for the exclusive digital rights syndication deal the show has with Hulu, it would probably get picked up by Netflix or Amazon prime (like AD or Ripper Street).

    ReplyDelete
  120. Samantha Petrelli10 May 2014 at 15:39

    NOOOOOOOOOO!!!

    ReplyDelete
  121. Wow... I didn't think they would. It's such a cult show.

    ReplyDelete
  122. So disappointed :( Was hoping for a final season, S5 could have ended better and given the show real closure.
