  1. This one was disappointing compared to the last 2 episodes, but I did enjoy all the flashbacks. My vote goes to Octavia finally getting to see the moon before it all went wrong.

  2. These eps go nowhere. Octavia learned nothing from the Grounder. No one seems to really explore Earth. They still never made it to Mt Weather. I didn't mind the flashbacks, but the actual story really isn't advancing much.

  3. I liked the flashbacks but I voted for Bellamy and Octavia trading blame over their mothers death. They both had craptastic childhoods and both needed to say and hear what was said.

There was too much of the love triangle in this episode for me but I'm hoping that Clarke's proclamation that she barely knows Finn and his life being in danger puts and end to it.

Good episode overall but compared to the pace and tone of the last two or three episodes, it fell a little flat for me.

  4. It bothers me too that they don´go exploring and they seem to have forgotten all about Mount Weather. I need more of that and I hope that the Grounders are introduced slowly.

  5. Great episode, I think it put things into perspective. They probably have too many things to worry about right now, for instance contacting the Ark to stop more deaths and then Octavia going missing and now Finn injured to think about supplies or exploration - but it's coming up in episode 8.

  6. I went with the sewing kit scene or rather the seconds before. Morley really showed the conflict Bellamy was in.

I liked the scene where Octavia got to leave their home and see the moon for the first time. Bellamy's face through all of that was lovely too. But..... I thought their argument at the end was the best scene. It kind of twisted everything we'd seen in the flashbacks on it's head. Yes there's a crazy amount of love there but their relationship is so much more complicated than I thought at first.

I agree with everything. Both were great scenes and I felt bad for both of them. Also it was nice to see their mother.

  9. Generally the show has a more Lord of the Flies vibe for me, and thus makes sense to me why they rather explore the society structure/relationships than anything els. Maybe they will go there in S2 (hopeing there will be one).

I agree. I think establishing the inter group relations are more important at the moment than exploring the wider world. And I don't mean romantic relations, I mean all the relationships. I think this episode may not have moved the overall plot forward much, but it did a lot for character development, especially for Bellamy. Up until now he's just been a bit of a pain and all his actions were explained by "he loves his sister", this episode shed a lot of light on that and makes all his actions so far that much more complicated.

I still can't figure out how I feel about their mother.... Her choosing to have Octavia and keep her secret, was it brave or selfish? She was obviously prostituting herself after Octavia was born but was she doing it before too? Was their life so terrible that she really needed to do that? I don't know.

My guess is that they didn't explain those things because Kane (or someone important) could end up being Octavia's father. Also I hope they explain how birth control works in the ark because I'm sure there's some kind of control or the Blakes case would be much more common. The kids acted like it was very unusual that someone had a sibling.

I thought it a bit weird that they seemed to leave the "one child per family" thing to the individuals to enforce. Maybe it's a bit too extreme for a CW show but I would have thought, given how strictly they enforce everything else, they would have had a medical way of ensuring no more pregnancies were possible after the first child was born. Tubes tied or some such thing, but then you're really going into dark stuff. There's obviously some sort of basic birth control otherwise nobody would be able to have sex ever.

  14. I love all the scenes between Bellamy and his sister in this episode, becasue this episode is pretty much about their backaround story on the Ark relating to what they have become on earth now.
If I had to choose one best scene I would rather choose Bellamy getting Octivia the dance scene over Octivia blaming everthing on her brother scene in the end. It's good to see this siblings had some sweet moment on the Ark, considering their relationship has been so tence since they reunited on earth. It's so sweet for Beallmy as a big protective brother trying to do something to fulfill his sister's wish since she was born.
The ending scene between them was more heartbreaking more Bellamy after what he has done for his sister unconditionally all these years and all Octivia could say to him is everthing has gone wrong is Bellamy's fault. Poor Bellamy, I really hope their issue could be solved eventually!

I loved it when Jasper said he'd go through hell just for for Octavia
