  1. I love Mellie and Andrew. Loved Mellie slapping the hell out of that hypocrite. Fitz is one to talk about betrayal. He and Liv should just let Mellie and Andrew thing their thing.

I love you, Jake, but please stop. And did Liv really think there wouldn't be any consequences for what they did?

    Great episode!

  2. Great episode!

Hell yeah at Mellie slapping Fitz in the face hard as hell. Go Mellie! Loved that.

Intense dinner scene with Rowan, Maya, and Olivia! Loved the snarkiness between Rowan and Maya.

Quinn continues to be stupid and not following orders. Ugh, Maya and Adnan should have stayed in the hotel room so they could shoot her. I'm sick of her.

Oh shit at B613 shutting down, Jake grabbing Olivia by the throat, and Maya having a bomb.

Can't believe there are only two more episodes left. This finale is going to be insane.

Scandal writers have this very fascinating quality that every time I think and hope that the episode I'm currently watching will be good and consistent, they throw there something that makes me totally hate it. It was like that last week and it's the same this week. This ep seemed so good and then we had to witness Olivia sleeping with jake for access to his phone, Shonda made her prostitute herself for info. I guess she really wants a reason to call Liv a whore. And this is the continuation of a narrative that Olivia Pope only serves others, with her body, mind or other skills. She isn't a badass fixer anymore, she isn't her own man, she's losing her integrity. That's really sad. And I don't have enough patience and faith to wait and see whether writers ever decide to rebuild her.

  4. Duh. She has to lose her integrity at some point, it has to be realistic. No one is perfect.

  5. Mellie and Andrew like everyone else on this show are big hypocrites. Andrew could have chosen Mellie but instead choose to be Vice President. Mellie could leave Fitz and be happy with Andrew but she loves Power too much and cannot give up being First Lady.
Liv's read hit home to Andrew and he realized that Mellie is not some innocent victim and would leave him if he had no power. Andrew is now facing reality about his princess - she wants a king not a powerless knight.
Fitz is acting stupid. Jake is a whiny idiot and as Papa Pope said should never have been out in charge of B613.
For once Quinn was right, Jake should have taken the terrorists into custody before it got to this point of endangering the country. Papa Pope would have handled this issue and shut it down quietly.
Jake needs to stop being physically abusive to Olivia - concussion and now choking. He should not be shown as a romantic interest and Shonda needs to stop sending the wrong message.
With her dysfunctional killer parents, I'm surprised Olivia can even get out of bed and function.
LOL - I loved Abby trying to be Olivia Pope. Those scenes were hilarious.

    Wow, what an elaborate comment.

That's the point, I get that at some point she might lose her integrity, with so much shit going on to her and around her, I'd expect that. But I want it to be realistic, believable and sadly what I see isn't remotely plausible. Writers just tear apart Olivia for the sake of tearing apart. I've watched Shonda Rhimes previous shows, and in GA with Meredith, she succesfully managed to make Mer lose her integrity and I believed in what I saw because it made sense. There were reasons for falling apart and writers used that potential fully. While with Scandal, writers are just writing some story, adding some random things along the way hoping that it all will click. But it doesn't. They should spend some time trying to explain and show how and why all that shit affects Olivia so much and in which way.

That's not what prostituting one's self means. Olivia made a conscious choice to exploit Jake's weakness (his affection for her) to get what she wanted.

You're doing a LOT of work there to frame it as a narrative of subservience on her part.

And the high quality speeches continue. Also, Abby in a white coat... loved it.

  9. This episode was sooo good. Episode after episode, my dislike for Fitz grows. Millie slapped the shit out of Fitz. I felt that through the TV. Good for her. She deserves a side piece too lol. The Pope Family dynamics are insane. I really think one if not both of them will die in the finale or the premiere next season. I can see Marie killing Rowan and then Jake taking Marie down. I'm glad Olivia finally had to walk the walk the rest of her associates have to get the information they needed but talk about bad timing smh. That ending was everything! Quinn, Quinn, Quinn smh. I just feel sorry for her. She truly didn't ask for this life. Ppl get so mad at her character but I say she wouldn't be in B6-13 let alone Washington DC if it was not for the original Defiance scandal. This is why I cut Quinn slack. Everyone else I know wants her dead lol. I knew Claire was going to get it SMH. Mya Pope aka Marie Wallace is your role model? Girl bye. Now Fitz could almost lose his life again. I can't wait for the next episode.

  10. If they were going to kill someone in 3.17/3.18, I'm guessing Fitz, Andrew or Mellie.

She "sold" her body to get what she wanted...the only difference between what she did and a prostitute is that what she wanted wasn´t money!

"Sold" implies a buyer. Who, pray tell, bought her in that perceived "transaction"?

She had consensual sex to gain something from Jake. Ammoral, perhaps, but certainly not prostitution. Learn the words before using them.

  13. I think the sex was more than consensual. Olivia looked like she was very much enjoying herself.
