I am speechless for once, and breathless...those last five minutes were unbelievable. Charlie killing Jason and then crying over him was heartbreaking, glad Miles got to kill the kid, even if he will have a hard time dealing with it.
I agree...I think it is funny how the writers try to sell us the Miles/Rachel relationship but end up selling Miles & Monroe so much better. I do believe we will see Miles and Monroe fight the patriots together (and not just doing so grudgingly)
Wow what an episode! I have mixed feelings about it. I Knew Jason was likely to be the one to go, but what a way to do it.
On one hand if Jason had to go and they wanted to make a compelling case to move Charlie and Tom in specific direction, than they did a good job in setting that up. On the other hand kind of disappointed that Rachel and Gene's whole argument about Dillion and the other cadets, including poor poor Jason, didn't pan out (even though it's more realistic this way). It just seems like a contradiction for having them fight for something good and not setting themselves apart from Monroe, The Patriots, and what ever is going to happen with Tom now, although perhaps wanting to prevent this from continuing to happen could still be a positive motivation.
Was that Duncan in the wagon going by Priscilla and Aaron? If so, YAY! I was right that she wasn't dead and seemingly there is a 3rd party like Nunez or someone else...
Which brings me to what we might be getting into. They dropped a bit of California Common Wealth bits -and it should be noted that this is where Monroe was going to send Jason last season, where he told Tom he would most likely die there. Also at the beginning of the season there was casting call for someone named Anna Beth from Texas. The thought of Jennifer Garner getting that part had crossed my mind, because she did "Texas" covers so well on Alias. Interestingly the female Governor of California, who lost her husband happens to have the surname Afflec. Jennifer Garner is married to Ben Afflec!
Also Really fun to see LOST alumni M.C. Gainy (Mr. Friendly) and his role here did not disappoint!
The nanite story is also interesting considering I think they will jump into someone else before the season ends. Could be fun if it's Rachel, Tom, Monroe, or Conner! I'm not sure to what end exactly they're getting at or if they are just playing it by ear in experimenting...but I suspect at some point they may choose a specific ideology.
Tracey Spiradokas and JD Prado did a really nice job there at the end of the episode. I'm going to miss Jason and I definitely fear Tom now...
It was obvious that Jason was going to be killed off because JD Pardo is now filming for The CW pilot" The Messengers" in which he is a series regular!
I think it was likely, but not necessarily obvious. They could have killed someone else and kept him alive for a few more episodes, especially because I'm assuming Revolution is probably close to being done filming for the season.
What i find funny is the the gang is trying to stop the patriots and win back the towns and stuff but what they don't know is that the nanites are and has been the villians of both seasons and even if they save the world from the patriots the nanites will raise and take over unless Aaron can do something bout it but even they are watching him closely lol.
Great episode, they did the same thing with Nora, gave the character a big part in the script to kill him off. I think the death of Jason will change Charlie mind and for Miles kill that kid will give him a push to fight the patriots more and more.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Loved it, loved it, loved it!!! I was more surprised that Charlie was the one who killed Jason than Jason being the one killed :D
ReplyDeleteGreat episode! Knew Jason was going to be the one killed, but was surprised Charlie was the that killed him.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Awesome! Awesome! Anyone who voted Poor or Awful must have been watching American Idol or something and voted here by mistake. :)

ReplyDeleteOr they are just mad about Jason :D
ReplyDeleteVery true! And that was sad, but still.... great episode. Loved it.
ReplyDeleteI think we're going to see some more depth to Miles.... he might end up meeting Bass somewhere in the middle. I like that I think. :)
ReplyDeleteIt was, but it would be even more sad if we didn´t expect it.
ReplyDeleteTRUE!!
ReplyDeleteI was surprised about Charlie tho, I really thought it´s gonna be Miles or Connor, but no :D

ReplyDeleteLoved it especially Walnut LOL and Charlie killing Jason totally shocked me!
ReplyDeleteThat girl is learning how to act.

You just totally got me on the Duncan thing. I had to watch it again and I think you might be right! OMG, if it´s really her.
ReplyDeleteit was dark and i admit i was a bit preoccupied with aaron and nanoinfested priscilla to know for sure, but im going to rewatch it too to confirm...
ReplyDeleteIt is really hard to see to know for sure, but it really looks like her.
ReplyDeleteI really want to see Jennifer Garner as California governor Affleck.

ReplyDeleteWell, that was really sad! Poor Charlie (and Neville).
ReplyDeleteLOL, I love that Jen Garner is Governor of California. I approve (even though Ben is dead).

ReplyDeleteExcellent!!! This episode is a great start to the 3rd season :) I hope this show gets renewed.
