  2. It's supposed to air at 9 pm eastern tonight.

  3. I'm really hoping that airing this episode at 9 helps with ratings, and the episode was great, what kind of nickname is Flowers, lol, oh well, she does like those flowery clothes. #HailHydra

  4. That's because they are usually programmed to be post at 9PM. It was an honest mistake

  5. Wow. That was an awesome episode. And Brett is an awesome actor - the switch between SHIELD!Ward and HYDRA!Ward? Fucking wow.

I've been reading too much post "Ward is a traitor" Skye/Ward fic. One scene was straight out of a fic.

I hate Garrett, but his one liners are hilarious and the best. Those need to keep happening.

And aw at Coulson's meltdown. That's probably been a long time coming. And LOL at the fact that they were shot at.

  6. now can anyone give me info on the episode!

  7. Coulson was an emotional mess this episode. I wonder if this is a side effect of the Kree juice? I like this turn of events because the team is being tested, everyone's loyalties and relationships are changing under the conditions. I'm not used to it, but I like it. Adds new dimensions and conflicts!

I'm all the more convinced that Ward isn't a triple agent. He's HYDRA through and through.

  8. Great episode!

God, I can't wait everyone finds out about Ward and blows up in his face. He deserves it but seeing Skye's reaction will be heartbreaking.

I have to admit, I'm loving the dynamic between Garrett and Ward. They're badass together.

I wonder what Garrett is going to do with the Gravitonium. Possibly take out Franklin Hall since he lives in it and can't get out? Or use it for phase 3 of Centipede?

  9. Another fantastic episode.

    What a moustache Talbot had!

It's smart that Coulson is suspicious of everyone who was associated with Garrett -- hope this applies to Ward as well. I am glad that Triplett is joining the team - but I don't want a love triangle between FitzSimmons and Triplett.

Ward is a good actor - I loved the tie in to Black Widow. The cheer leader line was funny too. Garrett has awesome lines. I am torn between believing that Ward is a triple agent or Hydra. What does everyone else think?

  10. They seem to be setting a lot of things in motion for S2.

The development of Fitz has been really interesting to watch. He doesn't want anything to change but I think he has changed more than anyone so far. Maybe that is where his fear is coming from though.

    ReplyDelete
  11. It was Awesome! Hydra's destruction of Shield is almost complete. Ward is a double agent who has gotten Hydra into the Freezer and equipped them with all the 084s that Shield had obtained. Including the Gravitonium.

  12. I think I just watched Fitz's heart get split in two. Granted, I think when Simmons said "It's too late for that", he took it the wrong way. She meant it's too late for change--SHIELD is 'gone' after all, and he probably took it personally.

I was kinda hoping there wouldn't be a romantic connection between Fitz and Simmons. I'm a fan of FItzSimmons as an inseparable team, with the ultimate platonic love thing happening. But if it goes another way, it goes another way. I just REALLY hope this doesn't become a 'Fitz-has-his-heart-broken-by-an-unaware-Simmons-and-goes-all-super-villain' plot line. Without Simmons in his world, I don't think there's much to keep Fitz from going all Doctor Horrible.

I have no idea what to think of Ward. I just...can't even...

    ReplyDelete
  13. Even if Ward is a triple agent, he's crossed too many lines to be redeemed--for me, anyway. He's killed too many SHIELD agents too ruthlessly.

Well Ward clearly isn't a good guy. He's doing some pretty bad stuff here. I'm still thinking however that he may not be hydra. He might be out for himself. A Rouge. A mercenary. Perhaps Ward will turn out to be Paladin.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I like that it wasn't as intense as the last few episodes and instead spent time on character moments and how the whole Hydra thing is effecting everyone.

I really love Garrett he is so deliciously evil and hilarious - the bit with the Hail Hydra agent was so funny.

I am so on board with bad!Ward when he was explaining how he got the team's trust, oh he so played them!

Thought it was great how Raina and Quinn were both pissed of that the Clairvoyant doesn't have magical powers. They so wanted to believe! Even bad guys want to have faith.

Lots of great call backs, the slingshot, all the weapons they have found across the season.

Delighted that Coulson knows Fury is alive, phew!

Oh Patton Oswalt was a lot of fun as well. Poor dude stuck in a windowless base for two years!

It's official I hate Ward. The screenwriters have gotten I wish to see to Ward died.
Until this moment I liked Ward but now I don't like his way to play with the people who trust him.

I know what you mean, the writers play with our emotions.

  18. Loved this epsiode
but what was up with the metal on Garrett´s body.
Oh and am I the only one who would think it would be cool if wand is a evil as he seams

  19. Anyone else notice the chemistry between Garrett and Ward in this
episode? They work well with each other and their word byplay is pretty
much the best this episode. Bill Paxton when he was revealed as the
Clairvoyant (which I am still not entirely convinced he is) I thought..
'man this is gonna end badly for the show.. lots of over the top rants
    etc'

But it hasnt gone that way. Garrett still seems kinda
friendly and someone you would like to have a drink with. Hell Ward gets
more interesting just being around Garrett. Quinn on the other hand
seems more wooden and Raina.. well Im unsure about her.

    Also,
is anyone else a little bit over the Fitz jealousy angle? Its happened a
fair few times now and its getting a little tired.

  20. Id watch Agents of HYDRA.

It's like you say, they play with our emotions. During 16 episodes they have made we appreciate the characters of serie, including someone have loved them, then betraying us. I have felt betrayed with Ward's turn and this feeling doesn't like me.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I love Garrett and how he is basically a really fun villain, he has great chemistry with Ward like you say. You can also totally understand why people would follow him to the dark-side, Hydra does seem more fun than SHIELD and all its rules and security clearances!

May be we ll see another twist,we have 4 more episodes. I dont trust Simmons and Tripplet at all.

    ReplyDelete
  24. principe.encantador16 April 2014 at 10:15

Please no. Another disappointment and I'd stop watching the serie. I would regret it a lot because I like the serie but I don't like the screenwriters play with me.

  25. That any essentially SHIELD is modeled on HYDRA, just with more 'restraint'

    ReplyDelete
  26. How many different ways can you say "the good guys are fucked"?

    ReplyDelete
  27. HYDRA!Ward definitely seemed like a completely different character, that was awesome acting. And I hate to be shallow but HYDRA!Ward is... so... freaking... sexy. He has really has the dark, foreboding charm down. And the stubble doesn't hurt.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I loved this episode!
I'm loving Ward too, even though I'm hoping against hope that he'll redeem himself in some way down the track. Garrett is such a charismatic bad guy, I can't help but like him, and the dynamic between him and Ward is so great to watch! This show just gets more entertaining as it goes!

Just a comment on Ward, I think that his background must have been pretty dark. He says Garrett saved him from hell, and himself, and that he owes him everything. I'm beginning to understand exactly where he's coming from, even if he's more or less a stone cold killer. Which, I guess he trained to be, be it with Shield or Hydra (which let's face it at this stage are pretty much the same one and the same).

I reckon Garrett and Ward aren't true Hydra believers, Garrett of course said exactly that in the previous episode. I think Garrett is working to his own, personal agenda, and Ward is with him all the way because as he said, he owes him everything. They've obviously been working together for a long time. I'm wondering if they started out Shield, something happened to Garrett, something personal, and he's been working on some big plan for a long time. Saw that Hydra was the way forward, with more resources and opportunities, and as he said in the previous episode, set his sail with them.

I also think (ok, hope) that Ward is conflicted over what's been happening although at this stage I don't think it's enough to pull his support from Garrett. It's going to get harder for him though I'm sure. Makes for some excellent story telling that's for sure!!!

Next week's episode looks awesome too!
I think the secret will be out.
    We'll see ...

    :)

  29. Yes! HYDRA!Ward is so attractive I can't even. Like damn, Brett, what are you doing to me?

    ReplyDelete
  30. I hate hate hate that Fitz got jealous because Tripplet got on the plane. I don't understand why every single great show has to be sullied by the love triangle BS. I guess that's how powerful shippers are. Even if I bought into the whole FitzSimmons romance thing (which I don't - they're like twins to me), I doubt Fitz has even witnessed enough interaction between Simmons and Tripp to pick up on an attraction between them and therefore react with jealousy. And even if it did make sense, it would still be BS.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I think we got to see more of the true Ward in this one. And he is not all bad, just messed up. He was messed up in his youth, when he was discovered by Garrett. His loyalty is with Garrett, not Hydra. His loyalty is with people who help him, and he feels he owes everything to Garrett. Notice he did not deny he felt some loyalty to Coulson. He agreed, he owed Coulson much --- but something big ties him with Garrett. Which also leads to a possible solution: whatever it is Garrett used to get Ward's loyalty was a lie. When Ward finds out, he turns on Garrett.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I'm not sure how I feel about this episode. I still have this niggling feeling at the back of my mind that Ward is trying to convince others and more importantly himself that he is a bad guy.

Garrett just seems to be an opportunistic sociopath as Coulson more and less said previously. I was right that Flowers was a little bit pissed that the clairvoyant was just a ruse and he has now "powers" but as yet I see no sign of her betraying HYDRA and helping out Team Coulson.

Most interesting bits of the episode were with the man himself Coulson. He did seem to have a sort of man on fire mentality about him in this episode but he seems to be heading towards a dark obsessive path when it comes to Fury and finding out what happened to him and why.

Not sure what I think about Agent Koenig yet but it stands to reason that if Fury locked him up in that super secret base during the Battle if New York then he must be far more intelligent and savy than he let on.

  33. Maybe some type of body armor?

  34. I've always loved this show, but these several past weeks were truly incredible. I'm loving this HYDRA!Ward, I hope he truly was a double agent for HYDRA as he's now 100% more engaging as a character - I loved the explanation of how he played the whole team, jfc, Ward, you deserve a gold star for that. Coulson - poor guy, his whole world collapsed, he feels betrayed and actually IS betrayed, and even despite all of that he still has faith that it all means something. That little meltdown was painful but so, so needed; I'm glad that after it it turned out that a part of his faith wasn't misplaced.

Selfishly, I can't wait till the double agent thing blows up in Ward's face - but not before he manages a win against Coulson's team, that would a cherry on a cake - and I howled in frustration in this ep after Agent Eric told the team that the Fridge has been compromised but seemed to have no details as to how that happened. UGH. I know that Ward cannot be rooted out YET, but it's so painful to watch the team being led by Ward thus.

  35. I honestly really like that Ward is a HYDRA agent. I think out of all the characters, his was the most lacking in depth. The HYDRA element makes him so much more interesting. I don't believe he is a triple agent. I think that they are "grooming" Triplett, who I just love, to in a sense take over the position that Ward held with the team.

I knew about the Backup driver. Loved that Skye put an lock no one can break, just her. Loved the episodes a hole. Loved all the insecurity of not knowing which is the next step. All the weapons found over the season now tie up beautifully. Now every single boring episode makes ll the sense. Is really all connected, I hand it to the writers, boy they made nice work. Love Ward/Garret vibe, almost want them to win. Almost.Ward became such an amazing character with this move. I'm very happy about him being on team Garret, not necessarily Hydra (since even Garret isn't on team Hydra, he left clear he's on his own team, and just went with the hype). I don't see Fitz jealousy as a love triangle, is more a friendship thing, those two were so glued together, and had just one another in a way, and now there is tripplet, who messes with their balance, and Fitz doesn't like sharing his best friend with another person. Is not necessarily romantic feelings. And, as I imagined, they are STILL Agents of SHIELD, just working as an non-authorized organization now.Love that!!!

  37. Great episode. Loved Coulson in this, and I liked the revelations that Fury wasn't in total control of Coulson's treatments, it introduces a nice level of concern/doubt over some of his reactions and about what may have been done to him while he was in treatment. Nice twist. Leads to possible decent in the ranks and conflict with May and Coulson and the others if they find out why May was sent there.

Less subtle and infinitely less welcome we have the cow eyes between Ward and Skye and the possible love triangle between Triplett, Fitz and Simmons. Seriously guys it was bad enough they were heading down this road with Ward and Skye without making it twice as sickening by adding the other three onto the love boat. Seriously what have they been drinking on that plane love potion number 9. Next we will have Lola falling in love with the aeroplane.

    ReplyDelete
  38. ok, ok now I believe that Ward is HYDRA. Still wondering about the exchange nod between him and Coulson though.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Well, expect someone getting killed at the end of the season... It's a Whedon show, he makes you love the characters then BAM the most beloved one is a traitor that kills the nicest in the bunch. Or Willow goes full Dark Phoenix... you know...

    ReplyDelete
  40. in three episodes you'll go for the Fitz/Simmons cuasi-romance, until Ward shoots Simmons in the head or something like that.

Whedon is prone to kill someone important. And the best thing of all? It won't seem forced, it will be the most logical step ever taken...

    ReplyDelete
  41. In this show? just one: "Joseph Hill Whedon" XD

    ReplyDelete
  42. I thought Clark Gregg was brilliant too.

I want Ward to be good!!! It's not fair when he finally admitted his feelings to Skye then BAM! :(
