ARIEL PLEADS WITH HOOK TO HELP HER FIND PRINCE ERIC, AND EMMA AGREES TO LET REGINA TEACH HER HOW TO USE MAGIC TO HELP DEFEAT ZELENA, ON ABC’S "ONCE UPON A TIME"

JoAnna Garcia Swisher Guest Stars as Ariel

“The Jolly Roger” – Ariel returns to Storybrooke and pleads with Hook to help her find Prince Eric, who never returned to the town when the new curse was invoked. Emma agrees to let Regina teach her how to use magic so that she can help defeat Zelena, and Mary Margaret and David try to prove that they can be just as much fun as Hook is with Henry -- who thinks they are boring. Meanwhile, in Fairy Tale Land during the past year, an angry Ariel confronts Hook over her missing Prince Eric, who she assumes was kidnapped and possibly killed by the swarthy pirate. But when Hook confesses that the Jolly Roger has been stolen and Eric is most likely the thief’s prisoner, Ariel unknowingly provides him with a clue as to who the culprit is, and Hook – with Ariel in tow - goes off in search of his ship, on “Once Upon a Time,” SUNDAY, APRIL 13 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

“Once Upon a Time” stars Ginnifer Goodwin as Snow White/Mary Margaret, Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan, Lana Parrilla as the Evil Queen/Regina, Josh Dallas as Prince Charming/David, Emilie de Ravin as Belle, Colin O’Donoghue as Hook, Michael Raymond-James as Baelfire/Neal Cassidy, Jared S. Gilmore as Henry Mills and Robert Carlyle as Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold.

Guest starring are Beverley Elliott as Granny, Rebecca Mader as Zelena, Christopher Gauthier as Smee, JoAnna Garcia Swisher as Ariel, Gil McKinney as Prince Eric, Charles Mesure as Black Beard, JC Williams as lead guard and Jessa Danielson as wench.

The Jolly Roger” was written by David H. Goodman and directed by Ernest Dickerson.

  3. This episode sounds fun! Lol at Hook being more fun coz he is - Go Henry lol
Cant wait for this episode - Hook centric!!!
And more Hook/Emma - something has to shift between them. I think we were gonna learn that he might of given up his ship/home to find Emma.
I also think Hook went back to his life before, the pirate and womem, drinking, bars - but i dont think he could do it... its Emma or nothing for him!
Look forward to Ariel scene, and she wants to find her true love ;) Honestly think and the signs, and structure Hook and Emma are true love. Development. He finds her, found her, tried a true love kiss (fails in memory loss) and happy ending starts with hope and you work for it.

  4. Can't wait! I'm happy Ariel is back in both realms! This backstory sounds interesting

  7. Anyone getting Charming (Snowing) episode "What Happened to Frederick” and Hook (Emma/Hook) parallals here... pretty sure these two episodes are written by the same writer?

"Ariel pleads with Hook to find Prince Eric"
    VS
"Princess Abigail pleads with Prince Charming to help restore Prince Frederick"

Hook will realise he can’t move on from Emma... Just like Charming realised he couldnt move on from Snow ;)

  8. TRUE LOVE right there!!! Snowing, Ariel/Eric and Emma/Hook!

  9. Well, both episodes have the same writer,David Gooman.
Also,I'm gonna take your thinking a little further and remind you that in "What Happened to Frederick" we got the "True love isn't easy..." line from Charming, which is probably one of the show's most famous lines.I'm gonna go ahead and guess that we'll get something quite similar this time around. ; )

  10. I agree... that line by Charming is epic - honestly i remember that line, and also been used in ABC/OUAT promo vids.
I mean something has to connect that line and the structure of the episode to that! True Love and you have to have faith in, you fight for it, never give up, you cant move on, and it cant ever be replaced,

  11. Pretty much Snowing and Emma/Hook have parallels with each other back from the moment they met... esp the beanstalk journey and the troll bridge journey! And along the way, similar dialogues and similar structure to them.

  12. It sounds good:)

LOL at Henry finding Snow and Charming boring; p but really, it's not surprising since they can't act or talk normal sit in his prezencie.

Maybe it's just bad phrasing, but I don't like that Emma 'agrees to let Regina teach her' - it sounds as if she was doing Regina a favour.

  13. The more Hook there is, the lyeyss I like this show. Why can't we have more back story about EMMA? The magic training is a good start, but there really should be more about her perspective on things.

    More Ariel, yes!!

  22. I suppose how excited you get about this episode depends on how much you like season 3 Hook. I personally don't so I cant imagine I will enjoy this one much. I'm intrigued by the magic lesson's though. I hope they make them a bit more interesting than the one in 3x06.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Another filler episode? Damn.

I hope they smarten Ariel up in this one.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Not really excited about this one. While I like Hook when he's not existing solely to be a love interest, I'm not sure I care enough to see him take center stage over characters I like more.

Not to mention Snow and Charming having the other plot. I'm with Henry on this one; those two ARE boring. And seem to lose intelligence on a weekly basis. Granted, Henry is even worse...

What does sound interesting to me is Regina teaching Emma magic. Its just too bad that it seems to have been relegated to a minor plot in a Hook-centric episode.. So I only expect 5-7 minutes of them at most this episode.

  25. Let´s see, are they gonna sword and apple or apple a sword? talk to a bird or shepherd some lambs or ... ran out of options...

Um. What? You don't think a kid who had been playing a video game where he became a knight would think it was cool to learn how to really use a sword? Or that Snow might teach him how to use a bow?

Actually what David will be doing is teaching him how to drive.

  27. Marysocontrary9 April 2014 at 08:50

Yeah and that's why there's a wench in the episode that looks like Milah.

No they haven't. Not one bit.

  29. Marysocontrary9 April 2014 at 08:53

Yeah but unfortunately the writers think other people are more important than their main character, including the dolt they're forcing onto the fans. We have to wait until the next season for more of her back story.

  30. Looks like a filler episode. Too bad. They've done so well with keeping the story tight and exciting so far.

    ReplyDelete
  31. At least they're bringing back Ariel! (and not forgetting all about them *cough* Kathryn, Cinderella, Maleficent and others *cough*) yet not for the reasons I wanted :/ I'm happy for the Hookriel shippers, though I hope they don't ruin it for them! Can't wait for Emma/Regina magic lessons, they're the scenes I'm most looking forward too, easily. Their dynamic is easily one of the best on the show (as well as Rumple/Regina imo). And LMAO as Snowing trying to prove they're not boring.

  32. Henry likes Hook! Aww and the Charmings are jelly! LMAO! I'm soooo looking forward to this ep!
