    In fairness thou, Callen was turned into swiss cheese in Legend Part 2 (NCIS, backdoor pilot for NCIS:LA). I'm surprised he survived that shooting at all.

    Wasn't Callen shot right back at the start of the series, when it was introduced through NCIS? I'm sure Nate would have been involved then. My memory is a bit sketchy and I read fanfic so i could be completely off base.

    If I was Kensi, I would find it very difficult to trust Hetty's judgement let alone anything she says. Hetty has just been too selective as to when and where to tell the truth or even the whole story when it comes to not only Kensi, but other members of the team as well.

    Yes .At the end of the 2 parter Callen was gunned down and hit 5 times. When the series started Callen was already back at work so the assessment was for the most part skimmed over.
