  1. So it looks like Damon and Elena will be sleeping together AND feeding off each other. The need for vampire blood every eight hours is probably why they'll stick together. In the promo photos for the episode after this, Jeremy is with both of them at the parent-teacher conference. That might be why the synopsis calls it an "awkward afternoon." It also looks like Liv will show up and attack Elena to demonstrate her power. I have a feeling that the new doppelganger might be one of Damon. That would explain a lot, and it could be a way to kill off a character without removing an actor. If Jeremy decides to protect his sister, and also possibly to defy her, by getting Liv's help killing Damon, that could be what devastates Elena. I don't see what else the writers can do with Damon's character anyway at this point. Too much damage is done, and he can't be redeemed if Elena accepts him as a monster and he has no intention of ever changing. If I'm right, I wonder if or how someone might save the new doppelganger. It seems like everyone is pre-occupied, but there isn't a doppelganger in sight at the Travelers' camp where Stefan and Caroline appear to be reunited and escaping, unless he or she just isn't being shown in the promo photos. I think it's Markos standing on top of that car.

  2. the new doppelganger is either Amara's or Sila's i think

  3. In his last conversation with Stefan he said he doesn't want to be another Katherine Pierce. So I think he will change himself but this time for himself, not for Elena. In general human POV, vampires are monsters. They're dark creatures who instinctively like to kill, no exception hence they're monsters. I don't think the show will come up with Damon's doppelganger. I think they will continue to tell story about Damon and Elena relationship, how they handle and work their issues, their struggle to make the relationship work to see at the end if it could really work. They have good foundation actually, friendship and understanding.

  4. Damon also said he was going to get Elena back. Then when Katherine dumped him while impersonating Elena, he went on a killing spree. He is responsible for his own behavior and he chooses not to change unless he has to for Elena. Now he doesn't have to because Elena wants to be with him anyway. My theory about Damon being a doppelganger is just a theory, but it would be a way to stop the repetitiveness of Damon's behavior without disrupting the cast of the show. Killing Katherine off only lightened Nina Dobrev's workload. My theory would also explain why Elena can't stay away from Damon in spite of what he is. Then again, the problem could also be that she's a vampire, or that SHE is a doppelganger and doomed to be stuck between two brothers, or maybe it's a combination of both. Either way, Elena is not herself because of Damon's presence. She even questions who she is in the promo.

  5. Qetsiyah might have been lying, but she said that there are more doppelgangers than the Mystic Falls people realize, and there's one born every century. That could be taken to mean that there are more doppelgangers of the same two people, or it could be interpreted to mean there are doppelgangers of more than two people. If the latter is the case, there could be doppelgangers that are not identified as supernatural beings. Maybe they're dismissed as a matter of genetic combination because they resemble ancestors, or eccentric people might refer to them as part of a "doppelganger effect." So far, there have only been stories about Silas, Amara, Tatia, Stefan, Katherine, and Elena. No one has explained why Katherine was drawn to both Klaus and Elijah, and yes, she was drawn to Klaus. I saw her reaction when she learned he had drawn Caroline a picture. I don't think Stefan was the only one Katherine was ever interested in. She shouldn't have made that face over a guy who hunted her for 500 years. When the EPs say that the doppelganger issue will be addressed in its entirety so that it can be put to rest by the end of the season, I really hope that's the truth. I think what's coming will be very interesting.

  6. I have a different view. Damon already has a plan to kill Wes, to end all the Augustine society. And that was the main reason why he broke up with Elena (1st break up). coz he didn't want Elena defend him, which means he will changed Elena become worst. He refused that idea by letting Elena go. He did this becoz he knew he has to deal with the ghost from his past (Enzo). The 2nd break up only confirm what he thought about him self in 1st break up, that he can't change, that he will always be a monster who's bad for Elena. He didn't kill Wes at first becoz Elena asked him not to, but the cell incident had confirmed his killing instinct that people like Wes, would never stop unless he's dead. He killed Aaron for Enzo, the only person who stand by his side. He made mistake by trusting Jeremy in Enzo's hand. Jeremy was meant to be a leverage to make Bonnie did what he asked. If Damon and Bonnie knew Enzo killed Jeremy before Wes location is found, don't you think Bonnie would refuse him? And I think Jeremy's case would be the main problem that he has to face with Elena. Actually Damon never changed, he is a vampire, to him he is a monster he and anyone else believe he always is. The difference is that Damon season one has his humanity off, while now a days Damon has his humanity back becoz of his feeling for Elena. I think he will change him self coz he doesn't want to be like Katherine. it's a self realization. Just don't underestimate the good in Damon. Coz realization of the good in Damon is the reason why Elena fell in love with him. the good in Damon that no body even Damon him self realize.

  7. All vampires are monsters though. It's been discussed before that all vampires end up killing someone and Elena first killed Connor (and then Jeremy accidentally) but then she also has killed an innocent waitress and she staked Jesse (even though she could have tried to break his neck or something instead like Stefan did to Damon). I think sooner or later both Caroline & Elena will rack up more victims.

It's going to be some dumb cop out & be another Elena doppelganger so they can dump her into that body so she can be human again. I know that they very loosely use the books as source material & Katherine ends up some disembodied ghost entity or something, which could be the direction they were going with that scene with her getting sucked out of the church. Also in the books Elena goes back to being human somehow, as does Stefan but I dunno if they would go that route.

  9. Damon trusted Jeremy with Enzo because he didn't care what happened to Jeremy. He didn't even bother staying in town when Stefan told him to leave. Damon stopped caring about everything, while his humanity was still on, because he believed that Elena no longer loved him. Even the EPs say that Elena looks at the world differently and tends to justify murder, making her the perfect girlfriend for a serial killer. Humanity on or off, Damon still kills people, and Elena will never leave him for it. Elena is more of a crutch for Damon than a source of redemption. I'm not saying that, hypothetically, he could never decide in the future to save himself, but Elena is incapable of saving him now that she's been with him. Every good thing he did was to make Elena love him. Now she loves him too much and the relationship is extremely unhealthy. I don't know why or for how long the writers intend to have Damon and Elena go through this before they're finally separated somehow. They will have to be apart again for Damon to be able to hit rock bottom and decide to be good for the right reasons. You're right about Wes. That was not the worst that Damon can do. He still has to do his worst and get the punishment he deserves before he'll be willing to redeem himself. As of now, he doesn't want or need to change because Elena loves him no matter what. Stefan is aware that giving Damon too much positive attention will encourage his bad behavior, and that's why he doesn't give Damon any more blood than he needs to stay alive. When Elena enters into the blood-sharing arrangement with Damon that I'm sure she will at the end of the upcoming episode, that will negate what Stefan was trying to do. Elena lacks the knowledge and experience it would take to put Damon back on track. He has to do it himself. Elena most certainly should not be with him because her unconditional love and affection shows him that he can be loved as a murderer. I really don't understand why Caroline Dries is doing this.

  10. I only read the first four books. It was said in an interview that Katherine will never come back, not even as a ghost, because she went into a deep void that won't be explored on the show. I would like to see Elena human again because being a vampire is probably destroying her character, but I'm not sure if simply making Stefan and Elena human again is the route the show is going now that travelers have been introduced. Stefan will be more capable of helping Damon with his problem if he's made human, and it looks like the Travelers are going to get their hands on Stefan in an intrusive way. When Katherine was still in Elena's body, I had a theory that one of the Travelers might have been Elena and someone dug her out of Katherine's corpse. That's definitely not the case.

If it takes a while to find a cure for the virus, Elena would be the first to get put in a different body. Since it was said that a doppelganger is only born once every century and Elena is only 19, there might not be a doppelganger body to put her into unless there's another Petrova doppelganger who is a vampire. Then what would happen to the other doppelganger? It's also too coincidental. My hope is that Elena switches bodies with someone else until a cure can be found. Markos could force her into that. He's supposed to be a villain obsessed with finding meaning with doppelgangers.

Elena has already been a doppelganger and a vampire, why not make her a traveler? I would like to see what Elena would be like if she wasn't a doppelganger. She would be free to go wherever she wants and be with whoever she wants. I am sure that being a doppelganger is what's making her want to stay with Damon.

  11. I don't see why make Elena a traveller would be a good thing for her. From all the supernatural being in TVD, traveller is the least moral creature for hijacking someone's life and body and mind.

  12. Vampires drink blood, and a lot of them kill people. If not all vampires are bad, then maybe not all travelers are bad. We know they don't all move in packs. Both Silas and Qetsiyah were travelers, and they appeared to be aristocrats or something in their time. It's a new mythology. We'll have to wait and see how it turns out.

  13. Damon is a vampire, of course he killed people with or without his humanity, just like the rest of mystic fall's vampires gang. They're all guilty for killing innocent people and killing their friend's friend. If you say Damon did good thing to make Elena love him, then I think you missed a lot of facts, coz many of good things Damon did are outside Elena's knowledge/concern. He never bragged and openly talk about the good thing he did becoz it won't change the fact that he is a vampire who's capable of killing without remorse. The show keep showing me, even in front of Elena he will still do the bad thing that he need or wants to do. He bit Bill and tried to kill him, he snapped Jeremy's neck, snapped Alaric's neck, he turned Abby, he slept with Rebekah, he said he want to kill Shane at the lake house, he tortured Shane at island, and many more, and all of these happened in front of Elena's eyes. And the good thing he did just slip away from anyone's sight becoz he loves to put "i don't care mask and be an ass with his snarky comment". He save Caroline's and Tyler, he took Stefan's place to turn Abby, he tried to keep Stefan's role and image as good brother, he apologized to Jeremy for turning Vicky and say sorry about Anna, Rose death bed. Elena's rejection doesn't make him bad, Elena's rejecting him many times, but he put aside his feelings and still save Elena for his brother. And contrary with your opinion, unconditional love is what Damon needs the most. That love is redeeming. And my view about love is that love is not a prize. Love is a gift. You need to gain and work for trust, honor, righteousness, but love is given.

  14. Can I just say that you are awesome in the way that you described the Delena relationship? I felt like I was alone in seeing their relationship for the disaster that it is. I really cannot understand how anyone can still ship them anymore.

  15. If Elena sleeps with Damon and then they all think it's because of the virus influence, and until the end off the season Damon waits to see if Elena really forgives him for real i'm really going to be so pissed off with this show talent to recycle stories. Please TVD give us something original.

  16. lol. so Wes make a love potion eh? The virus make her craving for vampire blood, not to love Damon more.
