THE 100
“Pilot” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, DLV) (HDTV)

ISAIAH WASHINGTON, HENRY IAN CUSICK AND PAIGE TURCO STAR IN A NEW DRAMA — Ninety-seven years ago, nuclear Armageddon decimated planet Earth, destroying civilization. The only survivors were the 400 inhabitants of 12 international space stations that were in orbit at the time. Three generations have been born in space, the survivors now number 4,000, and resources are running out on their dying “Ark.” Among the 100 young exiles are Clarke (newcomer Eliza Taylor), the bright teenage daughter of the Ark’s chief medical officer; the daredevil Finn (Thomas McDonell, “Suburgatory”); the brother/sister duo of Bellamy (newcomer Bob Morely) and Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos, “50/50”), whose illegal sibling status has always led them to flaunt the rules, the lighthearted Jasper (Devon Bostick, “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules”) and the resourceful Monty (Christopher Larkin, “Squad 85”). Technologically blind to what’s happening on the planet below them, the Ark’s leaders — Clarke’s widowed mother, Abby (Paige Turco, “Person of Interest,” “Damages”); Chancellor Jaha (Isaiah Washington (“Blue Caprice,” “Grey’s Anatomy”); and his shadowy second in command, Kane (Henry Ian Cusick, “Scandal,” “Lost”) — are faced with difficult decisions about life, death and the continued existence of the human race. While interviewing the local townsfolk, Sam meets an elderly woman named Julia (guest star Jenny O’Hara), who tells him the Men of Letters came to town in 1958. Josie tells Sam the story of a young man named Henry Winchester (guest star Gil McKinney) and his female companion, Josie Sands (guest star Alaina Huffman). While Sam is away, Crowley (Mark Sheppard) tests Dean. Misha Collins directed the episode written by Adam Glass (#917).

Oliver tells Sara (Caity Lotz) he will handle his ex-girlfriend, but when Helena takes hostages at the courthouse, including Laurel, the Canary will stop at nothing to save her sister. When The Huntress and Canary meet, an epic battle begins. Meanwhile, Roy (Colton Haynes) realizes he needs to keep Thea (Willa Holland) safe, but doesn’t like the way he is forced to go about it. 1. Yes to Henry coming back! That's awesome. And aw, Dean. Can't wait for Misha's directing debut either!

  2. I'm not a fan of Helena, but the episode's title sounds promising

  3. This episode of Supernatural sounds awesome! I think Misha will do a great job :)

Yay! Mark of Cain news! Poor Dean, though. Wondering what those side effects will be? And what "tests" Crowley has for him? I love it when Sam gets into the Men of Letters stuff so I think I will enjoy watching that. Henry Winchester is back! I liked Gil and the character a lot and I'm glad we get to see them again.

    I can't wait!! :)

  4. TVD: WTF? I really hope Enzo isn’t going to
be another love interest for Caroline. And another doppelganger played by
either Nina or Paul? I’m so over there being so many of them. It was fine when
it was just Katherine & Elena but this is just too much. Damon is not Jeremy’s
guardian and just tried to have him killed (again). He should be nowhere near
him. This episode sounds like a hot mess and why did we get the description for
    it before 5x16?

SPN: Crowley testing Dean....I just don't know what to expect there. I'm so excited!

    TVD: Well...Stefan's story sounds interesting.

  8. Star-Crossed - A tabloid photographer? Really? Some random southern town with no celebrities and no entertainment industry has a tabloid photographer? Riiight.
Tomorrow People - I like this show but The CW makes every single one of their synopses seem vague and boring. Every one.
Supernatural - I think there's a typo in there. Where it says "Josie tells Sam the story..." I think it's supposed to say 'Julia' instead of Josie.
Arrow - This all seems great except for two things: 1) Roy will be displaying that insufferable pissy attitude of his and 2) Laurel is taken hostage yet again. Can the Arrow writers please institute a moratorium on abducting and/or detaining Laurel against her will for a minimum of 1 full season? Pretty please?
The Vampire Diaries - Where to start? First, I have a few questions about this new Liv girl. Since when is Liv (who didn't know crap about magic just two episodes ago) suddenly in the know about the Travelers? Why would Jeremy be the one Liv talks to about this stuff? Why would Liv (who as I said didn't know a damn thing about magic two episodes ago) be suddenly useful enough to be making deals with anyone? This totally random witch girl who has been in one damn episode suddenly knows all sorts of stuff and is involved with all the important plot points. What the hell? Moving on...
    - I'm guessing whatever deal Jeremy makes involves wiping out vampires.
    - That parent-teacher conference could be very amusing but I'm sure TVD won't go that way with it. Probably another wasted entertainment opportunity.
    - Bonnie once again is a very minor inclusion and is again separated from most of the cast. This is an ongoing disappointment.
    - Caroline & Enzo? I guess TVD has decided to keep needlessly throwing guys at Caroline this season.
    - Looks like Stefan is the TVD 'captive of the week.' Seems like there's one in every episode now.
    - What upsetting news about Jeremy's personal life could Damon have besides the fact he almost killed him again?

  9. TVD: I can't believe that synopsis was so descriptive. It seems obvious to me that Jeremy will end up quitting school to do something for Liv, and I agree with other people that Damon is not or should not be Jeremy's legal guardian. Elena might not be in the best shape, but it isn't right to keep from her information about her brother that everyone else knows and that might have ripple effects on other parts of his life. It'll probably be about Jeremy sleeping with Bonnie and the problems that brings to a teenager. Add to that Stefan and Caroline's "special moment of friendship" and Elena has been royally screwed by everyone she cares about. I read that Elena is supposed to try to insulate herself from the Salvatore drama, but I don't get why Caroline needs to be involved. Maybe the two will have a falling out for reasons we're not aware of. I'm still trying to understand why Sloan would target Stefan and not any other doppelganger. It makes me wonder if Markos is either uninterested in Elena or too interested. Considering the fact that Luke's family is problematic, I would say that both the travelers and the witches are a danger to the Mystic Falls gang.

Maybe we're missing some vital information that will show up in Episode 16, but it looks like Elena has changed so much that she's drifting away from her old life rather than trying to integrate back into it. Her recent trauma might cause her to "grow up" faster than the people around her due to life experience. She'll become a struggling mother figure while she's still trying to find herself. That might explain why she appears to be either asking out or telling off Luke in the Episode 16 promo pics. I think we might find out in tonight's episode or in the following one exactly what brought on the change. I'm not sure that it's all about Katherine.

  14. I wonder if it's to test what's left of his conscience and humanity. I don't think the show would have him kill an innocent person, but I do wonder where this will go.

  15. Arrow sounds good as always.
VD seems intruiging with the aspect of a new doppel ganger but I see it more as a decoy. But I would love a nerdy Stefan or a Stefan Elena couple which ended happily ever after.
Reign making Henry go mad is a solid move a son killing him could be the ultimate Reign Twist.

  16. Arrow: Less Laurel and Sara and more Felicity, please. The sisters are dragging the show.

TVD: The awkward Damon and Elena afternoon makes me happy, she's probably pissed because all that he's done and hopefullly she will end that toxic, abusive relationship nobody (except DEllusional fans) can stand anymore. You can do better, Elena!

  17. I don't think this SPN episode will focus too much on MOC. Spoilers coming from an ITK person said that Jensen shot 1 out of 8 days only and the episode will be Sam centric in present and Henry centric in the past (he/she hasn't been wrong so far). So what we are going to see is very little. What I think it will happen: it's not a coincidence that people are becoming murderers out of nowhere and Dean is showing side effects. These two points are connected somehow. And Sam will be linked to the MOC mytharc because he will find out something about the mark coming from what Henry and Josie did in the past. Maybe it is the way to save Dean, since the mark is pretty much stuck in him.
Another thing that comes to my head: since we are going to learn about Josie, before Abaddon got her, maybe the episode will delve in possession issues.I just hope this story about Henry and Josie is not told to soft Sam though. Because Dean has yet to say I'm sorry and recognize the mistake he did. But when I think Adam Glass is the writer, my hope for a good Sam writing goes out the window.

  18. Emery is a boys name. You wouldn't name a boy Sue, so why pick a boys name for a female character?!

  19. the thought of a nerdy Stefan makes me so happy.
