Teen Wolf fans, prepare for the loss of another fan favorite. Following the shocking death of the MTV hit's female lead, Allison (Crystal Reed), and Aiden (Max Carver) in Monday's finale, executive producer Jeff Davis exclusively reveals to E! News that Daniel Sharman, who plays fan favorite werewolf Isaac, will not be returning for the fourth season when it premieres in June.
"Daniel Sharman came to us, much like Crystal did, and said that he wanted to go out for pilot season and for movies and try something new," Davis says.
Fortunately, fans will not have to grieve another heartbreaking death as Sharman requested that Isaac not be killed off.

Well, I can't say I'm surprised considering he was underutilized in season 3B. I'll miss Isaac, though.

ReplyDeleteI think Isaac and Allison were severely underutilized in 3B. In fact I think the coyote chick (who I'm not a fan of I'm afraid) got more screen time than those two put together.

ReplyDeleteActually, I think Sharman leaving is a consequence of Allison dying. She was underutilized in 3B, but it makes sense now that we know Crystal wanted to leave and the character had to be killed off. The problem is Isaac's story was very much connected to her story, and the moment she left, he became sort of dispensable.
ReplyDeleteDon't get me wrong, I like the guy, but I think the writers could only take care of so many storylines, and already having to switch Allison's story rendered them unable to come up with something different for Isaac.
Besides, we also don't know when Sharman made his decision, it might have been in the very beginning of 3B...
I remember when i was devastated over Jackson leaving but now I am kind of indifferent about it.

ReplyDeleteDaniel leaving is a shocker and sweet puppy Isaac will be greatly missed so now I can only hope along with you that we'll see more of Peter.....and Malia and Danny! I'm also excited about Kate's return!!
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of her either. Hope her story will be better in season 4 with the fact that she is Peter's daughter but to be honest I doubt it. Her whole story doesn't make sence to me. It should have been over when she returned home at the end of episode 3.14. Isaac will be missed.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Kate coming back to regurgitate the revenge cycle between the Hale's and the Argent's will be fun. I've never watched a show that wraps up the very season so tight and then teases the next season's villain.

ReplyDeleteI never really liked his character anyway he was kind of useless but that's just my opinion. I will be fine as long as the main cast stays on there Scott, Derek, Stiles, And Lydia and they really need to get into Scott's true alpha status in season 4. I feel like that was kind of put on the backburner this season and it was like ok he is a true alpha now and that's it and they moved on from it, they need to go into more detail of what it means to be a true alpha!

ReplyDeleteWhat I am wondering now if Dylan will leave the show at some point because if the movie The Maze Runner is good as the book, then I guess there will be more films about it and he will not have time to film the show. Sometimes is sad to see the actors want to leave but is for their own good, I believe we will see Daniel sooner than later because let's be honest here; he is really handsome and what Hollywood always wants is a pretty face with a hot body and he has both.

ReplyDeleteThey can film the show around peoples schedules and don't require as much time.
While Isaac is fun, I think this is a good thing for the show. They have been trying to juggle too many characters lately and this will hopefully allow more character development in those left.
ReplyDeleteBad news! No Twins and no Isaac ? The pack is dead. The only werevolves remaining are Derek and Scott. I hate that. What makes this season so great was the fact that everybody was working together, we had a lot of great character! Now I just hope that Scott, Derek & Peter will form a new REAL pack next season!

ReplyDeleteSupposedly MTV's actors (as in, not reality shows) are some of the lowest paid on TV. Thus after establishing a name on Teen Wolf they're moving on, trying to use that name to get a higher paying role.
ReplyDeleteI've seen some people online concerned about losing Dylan. If The Maze Runner does well he might leave Teen Wolf to focus on that. The original cast supposedly only have 1-2 years left on their contract too.
That makes complete sense to me...
ReplyDeletePlus, when a show is called "TEEN" Wolf I would think it has a shorter limited run in its future. Scott can only be a teen for so long before the title seems wrong.
The girl who played Alison turns thirty this year (or next) so it makes sense, as an actor that she doesn't want to play a 17 year old on a show about werewolves for a chunk of her career.
ReplyDeleteAs far as this guy goes... who knows, but I am willing to bet that actors who study for years do not necessarily want to play a high school show about werewolves on MTV forever... It's not like this show has realistic dramatic depth or anything. Don't get me wrong despite some not-so-great writing (dialogue mostly) I like the show... but I understand the decision to leave. I can't Imagine the guy who plays Stiles will stick around much longer, his film career is starting to take off.
I wouldn't be shocked if Dylan or Holland left the show before Season 5.
