I admit, an episode without Lagertha is nearly wasted...that they spend a little bit time on Athelstan made up a little bit for it, but I admit, Borg and Aslaug both bore me.
I'm not even sure if Ragnar WAS flirting in the first place. I was more under the impression that the girl reminded him of Gyda, similar to the way the son of Horic reminded him of Bjorn. He is obviously missing his first family, and Aslaug is the last one who has any right to complain about it. She made her bed. Now she has to lie in it (squeezing out sons).
I really enjoy this show, but I really miss not having Lagertha in this episode. I think Ragnar was realizing that he lost more in his alienating of Lagertha than he realized when Aslaug was getting jealous of his teasing of the young servant girl. I think he remembered how much more he lost in Lagertha and Bjorn, although he obviously loves all his children.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Ragnar's gross. So called his wife called him out on that shit. Ew at him trying to make her think she was seeing things because of the pregnancy.
ReplyDeleteI wish Siggy had gone with Lagertha and Bjorn. Hope they're reunited soon!
Good episode. I hope History Channel renews this for a third season soon.
