    I was thoroughly impressed! I will definitely be watching this series! I'm scared shitless if the ratings are going to be poor and to have the series cancelled on me suddenly, though, but will enjoy it while I can!

    If I hadn't started watching 'The Returned' yesterday I would have been more impressed with Resurrection,it pales in comparison. I'll stick with this and see how it goes.

    I doubt they'll cancel it before airing all 8 episodes they have filmed. If it's doing really bad they might swap it with Revenge and air it at 10, but I doubt they will.

    There is no original series. Resurrection is based on an American book entitled "The Returned" while the TV series "The Returned" is based on a French movie by the same name.


    The two have similar premises, but have nothing in common beyond that.

    That was a really strong pilot. Will definitely continue to watch. I'm glad the ratings are pretty great, at least people gave the show a chance and maybe will be back next week!

    Wow, that was freakin' fantastic!

    I had chills from the moment Jacob reunited with his family, Tom looking at Jacob and having a flashback of him playing with Jacob when he was younger, Henry running after Jacob and having a flashback of him playing with Jacob on the hammock, and Elaine seeing her father again.

    I never thought I would be emotionally invested in these characters so quickly! And this is only the pilot! Just wow.

    Can't wait for next week!

    Liked the pilot. Not as eerie as The Returned but doesn't have to be, I think going with a slightly less "odd" tone - while not as interesting to me, is safer for ABC and the show was still really good nonetheless. Glad a lot of people checked it out. Hope a lot stay.

    The pilot was quite good, great even, but It is one of those series that could go down roads that would turn me off completely...


    That aside, the pilot was powerful and well done. The first drama on ABC I have been drawn into since LOST.

    Even though I haven't seen The Returned, I could tell from our mutual friend Rick's links he gave me that The Returned is much more atmospheric (there a lot French stuff Canal Plus has that I have been meaning to check out), but setting that aside, I felt like they did this version in a way were it might appeal to larger audience...but I agree with Darque, who replied to me below, that this could easily go downhill in an instant...

    The pilot was very good,lots better than i ever imagined it would be or ever expected to come out of ABC! I hope it continues to do well,guess we'll find out soon enough!

    It was a pretty decent pilot. The only thing they really irritated me is that the characters stayed dry during the last scene even though is was pouring.

    I giggled at that too. I cannot walk from the car to the house without getting soaked in the rain, but they managed to seemingly stay dry while standing in one spot for 2 or 3 minutes! XD


    A little too heavy-handed on the mood setting without considering reality of rain I guess....

    now being serius, i really liked the pilot it was interesting it might seem boring sometimes but it was entertaining, i will keep watching... i hope they dont do some crap alien thingy on the show PLEASEEEEE

    forgot to watch this last night and finally caught up... glad I did, it was a bit heavy and slow feeling in parts, but it definitely grabbed me by the end and I will definitely be back

    I like it. Great premise, great actors (especially Jacob's parents), pretty good storytelling and execution so far. Hope it continues to be good. Also, I hope the ratings are good enough for this show to last, or at least give us the entire story before it goes off the air. I'd like to see the entire story for this show.

    I wasn't planning on watching this, but I'm glad I did! Very well done, you can really feel the characters even though we barely know them! I especially liked the cinematography, especially the pull out aerial shots .

    It had a little bit of an underlying soap opera feel with the untimely shocking reveals from the past such as Jacob's dad finally telling his brother that the long dead wife was cheating on him.

    I liked Jacob and his complete innocence to why he is there. I also like the doctor/daughter/cousin of Jacob's too. I'm just afraid this whole thing could go to somewhere with a lot of bad writing behind it so we'll see. Worried about how this next episode will play out concerning the grave stuff.

    I like Omar Epps so I'll give this show a chance to see how it turns out.

    This is just like the show 4400 that's has been canceled a while ago they go missing and come back the same age and time only thing was they came back with supernatural powers.
