  2. Loved it! I even think there was a shout out to Monk when Karen told Shawn the police department already had a consultant but he was in the alphabetizing the kitchen cabinet. What about the Val Kilmer cameo?! Not to mention "Bud". What a great moment that Lassiter was about to get his confirmation from Shawn about how real his "abilities", but didn't want the confirmation after all. Last but not least, Shawn and Juliette got their happily ever after ... well, minus the ring. Come to think of it, Shawn and Gus also got their happily ever after.

  3. Billy Zane, Deon Richmond? Check
    Val Kilmer as Dobson? Check
    Buzz makes Jr. Detective? Check
    Lassie knows Shawns secret? Check
The proposal we all waited for? Check
I've heard it both ways, How many hats in the room.
Even a Monk reference just to kick it up to 11.
Psych got the finale Right On The Money.

now I understand what Vick meant by Consultant for the department......obviously they did it on purpose to make Monk reference........a spinoff of Monk/Gus/Shawn would be nice

  5. It was a great ending. I loved this series so much it is a great send off. I am so sorry to see it go. There were 8 wonderful seasons though.

  6. That was one of two "Deep" nods to other things.

    "Alphabetizing" was obviously Monk.

They also used a different version of the song that played as Buffy and Pike ride off at the end of Buffy The Vampire Slayer during the scene at the end where they take off to chase the ring thief.

  7. Really impressed with this, had everything that made Psych great and twas a fitting finale to the series. Especially loved the quirky ending, didn't see someone snatching the wedding ring coming at all.

  8. For the case part...thank good this is over. It's still sad to see how this show, which used to be so clever about its humour became so ridiculous and nearly unwatchable.
The actual end though - that was well done, heart-warming, and an appropriate ending for the show. It wasn't a "leverage moment" (the season finale of that show was so good that I was suddenly very sad about it ending), but it felt good (perhaps it was a little bit too long overall). Like everything fell into place.

  9. AWESOME x 10!!!! The most perfect ending to a series I've ever been a fan of. Sad, happy, funny, silly, and just perfect! I was SO happy with this series finale, even though I didn't want the show to end, but it got to end on it's own, with finality, but open ended finality. LOVED IT!!

So many thanks to James, Dule, Tim, Maggie, etc, Steve Franks, crew, etc for making this one of my favorite shows ever. A show that never failed to make me laugh. It was great knowing ya, Psych! Thanks for all the funny memories.

And I'm glad you guys mentioned the Monk reference...I didnt catch that (never watched Monk, but knew the premise of the show), so now I 'get' that last reference from Chief Vick. Ha!

I wish I could vote higher than Awesome. It was the perfect ending. I was laughing, hysterically laughing, and crying the whole time. We got so many callbacks (Gus' pluto pick-up, Bud!) and the guest starring of Billy Zane and Val Kilmer totally were the icing on the cake. Psych couldn't have gone out on a better note and it will always be one of my all time favorite shows.

only Psych could end a proposal with the ring getting snatched out of Shawn's hand and him, Gus, and Jules rushing to go after it :)

  14. Great ending to the series,
But can anyone tell me why Juliet was so little in the season?
    Kinda disappointed about that.

  15. Wow, the finale hit me much harder than i was expecting.. I didn't think i would be so emotional about a show that always makes me laugh. That was a perfect ending..

  18. I loved the last ten minutes, but the rest was okay. My problems mainly stem from the fact that I wish Lawson, Bernsen and Nelson were able to be more involved in the finale, that Gus got the short straw again, and that the resolution felt rushed. Basically while I loved the last few minutes of the episode (particularly the proposal, Gus turning back 12 times and McNabb getting his dream job), I just felt that this season as a whole was half-baked and contrived. That being said great ending and loved the 80s music fade out.

I will miss this show greatly, for its obscure, bizarre 80s references, to Shawn's theatrical antics, to Gus' well everything, Lassie's stern badassness, Jules' badassery and warmth. But most of all I will miss, "this is my partner..."

Good bye Psych, may you return for a movie at some time in the near future.
