  1. I must say Hannibal is sure cunning, stick that pipe down Will's throat, wow. Also, I like how Bryan has manage to keep Dr. Chilton, an a-hole, which he of course is, lol.

  2. That was just fantastic!

Let me start off with the first scene. Holy shit! That was one of the most intense scenes I have ever seen! Both Jack and Hannibal were clearly not holding back. Wonder why they're fighting. Is it because Jack finds out that Hannibal is the Chesapeake Ripper, Hannibal framed Will, or something else entirely? Whatever the case may be, it sure looks like Jack's chances of surviving this season are slim. Now seeing the tension between these two throughout the season is going to be so much fun.

The visuals in this show are still as beautiful as ever. I mean, how GORGEOUS was that shot of Alana as a ghostly figure accompanying Will in his mind? Speechless.

Things are not looking to good for Bedelia. She really does not know what Hannibal is truly capable of.

So that's how Hannibal put Abigail Hobbs' ear inside Will's body huh? My throat was hurting just from watching that scene.

Finally, the final scene of the episode with the latest victim inside a silo at the center of the "color palette" with the hundreds of bodies surrounding him. That was the true definition of horror.

Overall, this premiere was nothing short of spectacular and I have a feeling the rest of the season is going to be some of the best TV we are going to see this year.

And to quote Will Graham, "There will be a reckoning".

  5. This show has the most beautiful and horrifying visuals of anything on TV.

  6. This series is back and not soon enough! It starts with the dark undertone provided by the actors (fantastic cast) , haunting music with surreal visuals, and a "Science Fact" theme playing in the background of each episode. If you watch Black List, Law & Order: SVU, and C.S.I. then you have to see this series, because like the ever mentioned.............but without the "Filter"! (No Spoilers!) How about the "Mosaic Killer" for a name? I'm looking forward to this season.............let's turnout strong for this series! 4 A DINNER INVIATION FROM DR. LECTER, I am Nobody!!!

  7. Hannibal has messed with me many times but the flashback to how Will ended up with the ear made my stomach turn so much! Great start to the season with the fight, see in some shows that would take the suspense away but with Hannibal we always knew Lecter would be caught because that is how the story goes but now it is about how that happens and who gets out alive at the end of it.

  8. That was INCREADABLE! The fight scene at the start of which I am sure Laurence and Mads(sp?) had a great deal of fun shooting, to the final scene with that guy waking up surrounded by bodies the claustrophobic feel spoke to me as I am claustrophobic myself.
''I believe you'' - How long until Gillian Anderson's character winds up on Hannibal's menu? LOL
Hope the Grimm lead-in helps the ratings and we get that 3rd season!

It's scary how artistic it is.

It's kinda interesting how they're diving into how Hannibal isn't just playing mind games and experimenting with Graham but in fact has been envious of how Graham's mind works. It kinda reminds me of a line from the movie Seven. At the end Kevin Spacey describes how envy is his sin. Seems like the same thing, envy of Graham is Hannibal's weakness.

I don't want Hannibal being hunted or catched after just 12 fictional weeks. I want Jack to fall into a coma and Hannibal continuing to drive everybody crazy.

OK, I had high expectations going into the premiere, which was my fault, but it wasn't the clear great episode I wanted.

  15. It's perfect, because it captures killing as an art, which is exactly how Hannibal sees it. And, obviously, it's terrifying.

  16. I am so happy that Hannibal is back!! Amazing first episode. I especially enjoyed the dream sequences and Hannibals talks with Bedelia. Will seemed like he could control his dreams better (step in and out of them).
Just like last season, I love how Fuller portrays Hannibal (and Mads too ofcourse). The last scene were he was looking at the chair and missing Will was perfect.

  17. Wait a minute - this is not Dexter, where the titular character always kept getting away, left everything destroyed (specifically Debra) in his wake and still ended up getting away.

  18. No just no. That would be lazy, contrived and ruin the momentum build up by the first season.
